Thanks for watching!
It's all fun and games until you find the 87 Topps Mike Shit
So many of us were spoiled by the late Don West, we were just waiting for you to pull a McGwire rookie card! Very nice pick up, a lot hinges on what you paid for it, but definitely a ton of qualityTopps baseball cards between 1968-73. The 1987 cards sprinkled in there were most unusual. No '73 Mike Schmidt, '68 Bench/Ryan, or '69 Reggie Jackson -- those were among the biggest rookie card "omissions" here from that five--year era featured in this tin.
Always worth buying vintage especially in bulk. 71 Ryan probably my favorite. I've always have loved the 73 Clemente card ( honorable mention). Great video, thanks for sharing!
I got that mickey mantle card yesterday at a card show . I hope mickey mantle knows that all sorts if fans still love ❤️ him and the same with babe Ruth ❤️ jamie 😊 thanks for the video 📹 jamie 😊
Ghetto and seat of the pants is what these channel members love. Always great to see vintage cards go to a new home. Thanks Jon!
That tin is like my childhood dream. I wanted 60’s and 70’s cards so badly back in the 90’s lol
Awesome vintage cards in that metal box of glory John 👍
I never miss any of your videos. I always watch on my TV . That's the reason why I don't comment vary much. Needless to say " I'm always Lurking!" Lol.
Another great video. Love all the vintage.
Thanks Josh!
Hey Jon been watching your channel for years and is the best in RUclips always entertaining and it never gets old thank you for all you do for card collections and keep on doing an amazing job and can't wait for way more episodes
Thank you Danny! I appreciate that!
Just finished the video!! That was fun! Only took me a week.
Thanks for watching, Lenny!
Nice collection. Would’ve loved to see a Ryan rookie with all that ‘68 in there
Was definitely hoping the Ryan or Bench would turn up in there!
Love the old cards. I'm with you, I really like the look of the "Sporting News" cards.
A tin full of vintage baseball cards? More like a tin full of memories!
You said it!
Always enjoy the trip down nostalgia lane! Thanks Jon!
Thanks Jason!
Good pick up
I liked the home made Traded cards, awesome, done by angry 10 yo
The Babe, Cobb and eight men out are some more great baseball movies from back in the day. I highly recommend them.
You blew by the 67 Brooks Robinson like it was a common. Very tough high number. And the 67 Bob Bruce Atlanta Brave is an error card for your PC.
I must have been flustered because of the terrible video quality and thank you for pointing out the Bob Bruce!
Fantastic collection, love the 1970 Ryan, was hoping for a 1969.
Another Awesome video, look forward to seeing more of this collection! 😊
I love the design of the '73 set with the little silhouettes, but good luck finding a centred card in it.
Definitely tough to find them nicely centered!
What's up Jon!!
I lol’d at the 1986 Ruth auto 😂
Yesss need those Ernie Banks kid drawn bear cards
Hi Jon, I've been watching for a while but just subscribed today. I love the wax box rips and your very original commentary. I'm curious, how much did you pay for the collection?
71 72 and 73 Clemente sold ha ha
Man oh man what a blast the live stream was until my network booted me 😬...
I caught the replay and unfortunately just now commenting again UGH original comment didn't go through... Awesome Cards felt like we were in a time warp going back to the golden era of baseball. Overall some Amazing Cards and Appreciate the Content.
P.S. I've been meaning to purchase a channel membership for a while least I was able to do it while you were Live and Thank You for the shout out :)
What a great find!
Thanks Paul!
wow
I have always enjoyed your content! Been a sub for years.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy it!
68 Rojas!
That looks like nice stuff.
Congrats on your new punch card modem!!
😂
Jon as bad as I hate to say this, you need to chairish them older checklists they are hard to find.
Man, I'm so jealous. As far as the collection purchases between us you are eating steak and I am eating grilled cheese sandwiches. Great stuff
I thought the last collection you picked up was pretty nice! It sounds like you need to uproot the family and move to PA though 😀
Love your videos
Jon I've been a long-time viewer and fan of the channel but always laid low cause of past subscriber experiences when your generation would tend to clash with mine generation in the live chat and threads below but not so here on yours after all these years. You got yourself a nice collection for sure and my fav is the '70 Topps all stars in particular your Reggie, Rose and Bench all stars looked really nice in-between blurred takes :) I was unable to determine if they were near mint or better or worse? I could use those to finish my '70 complete set in the making if you ever decide to sell or trade and they happen to be Nr-Mt.
I’m very glad to hear that! I will always try and keep my channel fun for everyone!
That box could be sold for 5,000 easily, maybe 8,000....really enjoyed this, so many hall of famers! wow!
has this guy ever made a video without mentioning the NNOF?
Good stuff
Great stuff so far Jon! Can't wait to see what else you unveil!
I’ve got lots of those cards they’re showing and lots more still in their packages from the 80s probably like I’m talking boxes of unsold cards still in the original box that had the cell phone wrap around it with how many a case came at a time is all you know is you just open the front of the box up a little when you stick it on the shelf they were from my landlord‘s old store when he told me Nintendo games were rented out Nintendo games and everything way back there in the 80s
Very nice
I could definitely at least read the names once you flicked the light on! 🤣
😂 the problem was my wifi on my phone was turned off 🙄🤣
@@thepastisalive i wondered....I've noticed that subpar internet signal before, but never like that. I live in the wilds of Ohio and internet sucks here too! 🤣

As an orioles fan I have to help you with that pitchers name on the old orioles aces card it’s spelled Mike Cuellar but the last name is pronounced Kway-are his nickname one the field was crazy horse and he’s a forgotten ace who threw one of the nastiest screw balls ever he won 20 or more games 4 times was an AL wins leader 4x all star 2x World Series champ and won the 1970 Al cy young award with the orioles (the first Latin American born player to do so which is crazy no one every celebrates him )
he should probably get more recognition or possibly be in the hall of fame because his numbers aren’t mind blowing for playing 15 years but if you dig deep and realize about 1/3 of his career he pitched out of the bullpen then you appreciate his numbers a lot more
1987 Bob Kipper, hands down best card.
Thanks for sharing this episode, an instant classic. “Jon Jabs and the Bulbous Tin”
😂
Hey what’s up
