- We’re so excited to release and share new music with you. 'Wherever You Are' is a song about loved ones staying in your heart and mind even when they’re not with you. I wrote it specifically for my girlfriend as due to being away on tour all the time we never really got to see each other.

Something similar to me. We broke 4 years ago but i never stopped love her, i mean, i thought she yet was kind, funny, sweet, lovely... everything til i was told two months ago that when the relation was by one month, she cheated on me with a boy she apparently liked him long time back before me (yeah, sex). But, you know, i don't give a damm. She took decisions and that's ok, part of the past, i don't have to be upset nowadays. I don't hate her, hatred is toxic, and I'm better than that. Kodaline was really helpful to stand tall with their powerful meaning songs, and I appreciate that.

I lost my cat recently. She was my best friend and every time i was afraid of life she would come and cheer me up. I miss her so much and i hope that wherever she is now, she knows i'll love her forever and she will always be my strength.

When I sing Kodaline songs, I'm able to show emotions I haven't experienced. Their songs are just that great.
I’m so happy I was able to hear and see them perform this live during their London show last year. This song is so soothing. The words are so heartwarming.

I can't believe how perfectly this song depicts me and my girlfriend's feelings for each other. We would do anything for each other, we love each other more than anything in the world, she's the most important thing in my life and I am in hers. We plan to marry each other one day and have kids. I just want to live the rest of my life with the most beautiful girl in the world. She's so perfect, I can't believe how lucky I am to have her. We have a tough long distance relationship in two separate countries. We get to be with each other for a week or two every month or so. The second we say bye at the airport we both break down and walking away from her in the airport is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. I'm so depressed and devastated at home without her. We still have to try deal with this for around 5 more years. We'll both be going college next year and when we finish our courses we're planning for me to move to England and finally live together. I pray that this works out. We're both each others first partner and I really wouldn't change a single thing about her and I wouldn't rather be with anyone else. I really hope things go well for us and our unconditional love lasts.

But somehow i feel more like chris martin singing the song.
This I feel is a more natural progression than their last album, in terms of progression this song seems like it should be after CUFA and I totally agree with the chris martin link, always thought that Kodaline sound like early Coldplay(ish) whilst still being different and unique.
Debojyoti sinha They do sound to a limit like Coldplay but their beats(instruments) are quite different and early Coldplay was more rock so I don’t see how they are similar to old Coldplay.
