great series man!!! been finding it really fun, taking in count you are keeping this expensive items, why not add the increase bank spaces to the "item" lists for new chunks, it would allow you a couple of extra chunks, make it so its money spent also and it can be proved u bought it because well ,thats the only way to get extra spaces just a small suggestion! keep up the great work and stay safe
Just thought I'd add a little information here because I'm getting a lot of similar questions. The item list I am collecting is a fixed list of 334 items that were 1m+ in value when I started the series. I started this account back in April so since then items have changed price a bit. When i recorded this video I believe 4 or 5 items had fallen below the 1m price point. I decided to keep the list the same and just drop the difference for those few items. Many items are way more expensive then when i started as well. I do think having a fixed list is the only way to keep this account challenging. Otherwise just I could buy dozens of extra items that happen to be worth 1m for a day or week before dropping back down. That did I am going to purge the bottom of the list In the next episode by replacing them with the newest released items. Such as the new wildly weapons, venator bow etc. The total item count will remain the same though at 334.
Yeah if the list wasn't static there are hundreds of items just under 1m that you could basically anti flip to keep buying 1m on the dot items for the rest of the series, the way you are doing it is much better because you will need to spend more as you get further in for each zone unlock
Technically with the first 4 rune pouches it's cumulatively 30 slots in the pouches but only allows you to hold 26 more essence cause the pouches take up inventory space. Just nitpicking tho, love the series as a fellow chunker!
@@simmerke1111 when you fix your pouches it fixes ALL your pouches and the larger the pouch is the faster it degrades. You’ve just been fixing the small/medium pouches before they were degraded when you were fixing your large pouches.
Love this series. Would like to see the chunk unlocks on the world map more, its kinda hard to visualise the progress. Would be cool if you had the item icon over the corresponding chunk at the start of the ep so we can see what Steve has got so far.
I would personally go the morytania route. Good agility between werewolf agility and canifis. Good money in regards to barrows As well as set up for mid to late game money making in regards to tob, vyres, sepulcher and nightmare. Tertiary, there are also haunted crabs you could use for afk training and access to the slayer tower for future slayer escapades
I think the best part of Morytania would probably be that while he of course wants to do the quest cape, realistically he could get to ToB in probably more or less 12 chunks if I was to guess. I think the only hard requirement for ToB is technically Priest in Peril. However the rest is pretty meh. The agility is honestly kinda whatever considering other places that'll be better and DEFINITELY should be unlocked (Seer's at some point as part of unlocking Piety) Barrows realistically isn't that great GP, especially without Morytania hard diary. Other than that, Nightmare I honestly don't know well enough, Sepulcher at I believe it's 90+ agility is pretty solid and Vyres would be amazing for AFK training. Personally I just imagine if the goal is, "I want to make the most amount of GP/hr possible without it being boosted by mains" Prif is probably the way to go. If he's willing to be carried through ToB then 100% that's the way to go. It's literally 1 quest and a bunch of chunks to unlock.
Pretty sure Slayer Bro has a map that shows everything useful in each chunk including all quest locations pretty sure its publicly available as well. Definitely look into it sounds like it would be extremely helpful for your series when deciding what chunks will be usefull
Quick tip for getting into gotr, if you menu entry swap left click to quick pass, then again to pass it'll let you just spam click and guarantee you getting in because you won't walk back out and it'll give a prompt, runelite just auto changes pass to quick pass by default
Something I feel could be interesting to do and give the series a tiny bit of longevity, is "Dead" chunks can be bought at a discount, like 10%-20% etc Can spin a wheel for example each episode and see which area of the map has said dead chunk discount within it, also goes with the theme of being a Trader since he'd always be searching for the discounts.
Love the content! Honestly, there is some weird thing - whenever I watch your videos, I always end up in a better mood, I think it is mostly due to you sounding like you are smiling a lot of the time. Hard to explain and sounds weird, but there is something outside of the content that you make, that makes me feel better. I would totally listen to a podcast with you in it.
Been watching you since i started OSRS in 2020 and I think this is my favorite thing you have made. Such a cool series that I would only want to see YOU accomplish. keep it up!
The nostalgia of seeing the edgeville chaos druids, camped there when I started my os acc a few years ago. I remember getting 70 range and 70 all melee there. By the time I left I had full dragon and a vigs chain mace and enough ranars to sort me throw til 60 slay Keep up the good content bro!
I'd go the Prif route simply because you're already headed in that direction, but it also gives a lot of variety. Zulrah you're already on the way towards, Corrupted Gauntlet, Zalcano, pickpocketing elves, catching red chinchompas, even just buying cosmics from the Prifddinas rune shop. Lots to do.
I think the Prif route overwhelmingly makes the most sense. The desert and Morytania both have far too many completely dead chunks in it that you would need to buy. Prif also offers more opportunities for both skilling and money making than either of those do.
i love the zelda music:) and how it unlocks just like zelda:) I played alot of zelda with my brother, brings back good memories:) also ofc love this idea. great vids man
Tiny suggestion from on old man here. 1a. Since your The Trader Steve and keeping the theme of your snowflake char. What if you needed to unlock a chunk right away but didnt have the money, so you could do something like " im going to unlock this chunk for 1.5 mil". Everytime you do this though the price goes up by 500k. then you have to pay off the debt before you can unlock any other chunk.
Went 50 kc with no pearls and left to camp Gauntlet. This vid inspired me to return to GoTR and finally get the damn robe top. Have everything but that and the pet.
It’s probably more like 45-65 hours to get the full RC outfit depending on luck. I’m around 25 hours in already with average luck on pearls (I calculated drop rates from the wiki to compare with my pearls) and after about 25 hours I have the boots, legs and like 140 pearls. The hat is also most expensive. He has really good luck in this video. Also a tip if you have the varrock body from achievement diary you should buy the Boots, legs, hat and then chest last for maximizing Runes/exp when playing the mini game
Worth mentioning from your early description of the runecrafting levels and what you get from them. Wrath runes are also locked behind dragon slayer 2 afaik. So not really obtainable any time soon with your current restrictions! ^^
One of the chunk pickers, the one that slay brother uses, will actually tell you what chunks you need for certain content, IE quests, so you dont have to google for each one
Watching this i found it absolutely wild that you still had to hunt down the large pouch, I got all pouches up to giant within the first few searches. like i had them all pre level 30
You dont have to leave your GOTR instance to repair your pouches. If you talk to the wizard inside of the minigame, the one past the portal, and pay him an initial 25 pearls, you then unlock the ability to have him repair all of your pouches for 1 pearl. You dont have to leave so its very convenient, but youll be using pearls. If you want to math it out to see if its worth it in terms of time saving, it probably breaks even, but you get a ton more xp.
Priff route has to be the goated route. tons of quest completions, already unlocked all of ardy, plenty of moneymakers unlocked along the way. Seems good to me!
@flippingoldschool if you keep your pearl on you while doing gaurdians of the rift you can talk to a npc in the mini game who will charge you a 1 time fee to contact the abyss mage to repair pouches and every instance from there she will ask for 1 pearl each time which will make it so you dont have to leave mini game and use different buff with lantern
Watched so much rs content it actually feels good to hear a guy react to a CL drop with a "yes we got it" normal reaction rather than "*Heaving breathing* OH MY GOD OH MY FUCKING GOD LET'S FUCKING GO" It's like they all say the same thing
the combat training camp chunk isn’t a complete waste if you plan to do achievement diaries, because it unlocked the anvil in west ardy too, which you need for 2 tiers of the diary anyway 🤷♂️
So I’m confused. Can you only unlock chunks by BUYING rare items? Or is it the actual OWNING of the item that unlocks it? Like if you get an Ahrim’s Robe from Barrows, do you unlock a chunk? Or do you have to sell it and then buy it back..?
I dont know if its a recent change but you can repair your pouches within the game if u talk to apprentice cordelia for an initial 25 pearls and 1 pearl every time after that
don't worry you aren't wasting a block for a single quest, you need a block adjacent to it to do another quest so you'd have to unlock it in the future if you intend on getting that quest cape.
Just open the door and talk with him when he stands next to you ? .. no need to unlock that chunk, that’s how a tile man does things my guy 🎉 love the series
Enjoying the series so far. Just so you know @FlippingOldschool you can repair the essence bags using pearls inside the minigame. I think its 25 pearls to unlock the ability to repair them then 1 pearl every time that you do repair.
Unlock glider if have not already near lumbridge and Unlock bank and all way to the desert because you can flip items there like bronze bars. It will help your smithing level.
I like that you don't really know what you're doing. Similar YT series are full of try hards and you go about unlocking areas without knowing other areas you might need. It makes it more fun this way.
Love the series. Love the concept of it all you been knocking it out 🎉 but one thing that threw me off this episode was buying items under 1m and dropping the cash. That kinda defeats the purpose. Markets always change throughout the journey and anyone can buy an item and drop the excess cash but what the goal I see in this series is that items are suppose to be getting more expensive making you have to use more money to unlock tiles not just 1m per tile. Just my opinion but awesome videos man
I think you should add an additional rule because currently, all you are doing is generating cash to unlock a ton of squares without even touching the core goal of the series. You should restrict yourself to a mandatory quest completion for every X squares unlocked. Now what that X is, I'm not sure - I don't think it's manageable with 10, but it might be doable with 15. Edit: Also, don't think anything trading below a mil should unlock any squares for you. Dropping the difference shouldn't count - if items decline in price you either have to wait it out for them to hit 1m again, or your max available squares just goes down. Because you're basically cheating by buying a 450k item for 1m and then splitting the difference - unlocking that slot would cost you 100-200k more, and eventually even millions more.
it's the opposite actually, for somebody that watches the ge a lot like he does, it would make the serie way easier if his list wasn't fixed and he could snipe 'real' 1m value items whenever something spikes, or have more options when new items are added into the game. By having a fixed list ignoring price fluctuations, his options are more limited.
What happens if you by any chance unlock an item which is worth over a mill by either pvm or whatever, do u get to sel it or should it be an instant unlock for another chunk?
There is a person that stands next to the table inside GOTR who can repair your pouches for you for 1 abyssal pearl per repair, and requires X amount of pearls up front to unlock the ability to repair from the NPC.
I'm definitely thinking he's going to Morytania. Zulrah is nice, but he doesn't have decent range for it yet. Not much in the desert, and there is too much good stuff to help boost the account in the swamp.
They need to do something about gotr entry. I went to try it out as a noob, and I I couldn't even get in. It took me sitting through 8 or 9 games. Then there's a couple d bags just joining the games to dance At the entrance. People playing just to ark mine. Something's gotta give

I get in the first rift I wait for because I hyper click the entire time. Thanks for all the tips in the series so far, made me some decent GP!
If you get a pet you should get a free space
So many clash sponsorships for OSRS players recently, maybe it's time to re-download.

Just a little go…
you can repair the pouches in the game by talking to one of the two people at entrance for the currency
definitely worth it
Need lunar spell book for that
@Jaylinhchhayanne401 no you don't. You need 25 pearls for the unlock, and 1 for each other.
Costs 1 pearl per pouch so not worth it imo, sorry.
