So when I polish obsidian cabs (which is volcanic glass), I spray a cerium oxide/water mixture on a felt pad to bring out the shine. I bet if you add cerium oxide to your tumbler (maybe add some plastic pellets too), that should help bring a bit of shine to your sea glass. You may have to toy around with the time though, so I’d suggest checking it every day until you get the shine you want.
That’s a very interesting look, thanks for opening my eyes!
Can’t wait to hear if you give it a go! 😊
Thats pretty sick.
Definitely have to try this out. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! I’m interested to hear what stones you end up trying out.
Thanks for showing us, I have some gemstone beads and they're way too shiny! I'll be pullin' out the Lortone for sure now.
That will be a perfect tester for this, and give you the exact finish you want! Good luck! 😊
Any advise to buff up sea glass a bit? Tumbling? What media in the barrel?
