This is a game changer. Supercruise actually becomes more of an interactive challenge. Whether you need to hand in a mission in time, want to get an in bulk trading, expand the range of your mining ships, or need to escape a nasty interdiction, you are now able to do so (at a cost).
The cost may require some tweaking (this is FDev after all), and I'm hoping for engineering eventually, but Supercruise boosting is gonna change how people play in ways that are yet to be discovered. I love it.

engineering is badly needed, that is what this is lacking.

People have tested the interdictions, and being interdicted shuts off the SCO, so no escaping them I'm afraid. Granted, these were NPC interdictions, and we all know NPCs cheat. 😉

    fascinating variation of opinions.
    remember 8 track/record player/radio?
    always room for improvement.
But this is a a hot rod engine.
imo the best addition since horizons.

Very limiting module at the moment, but I like the way FD is going with this if in time they improve and modify the module. As a first release of such a device, rushed to release by Achilles this is perhaps what you would expect with future improvements.
    Let's see!

I had never noticed it before, but strangely Inara also offers class 8 FSD for 0 Cr, which no ship can mount...

I'm going to have a trip transporting passengers with this new module.

This is an amazing feature. My gameplay is to pick 6-8 on foot missions and do exobiology and signal sources (in space and on foot) in between. With SCO, I could do much more in same amount of time.
And also: pick better missions. Instead of picking all of them from just one station, I can make a quick jump to another station and see their offer.

My thoughts exactly! I can't wait to put this in my Settlement Raider DBX build!
(Though it means I need to take my carrier back to the bubble.. the new FSDs haven't reached Colonia yet. Assuming they ever will.)

Its fun in a type 10, it goes in a relatively straight line

Bigger the ship slower it goes and it has less jitter

I think this will be improved over time and is the first version.

Hi, seems it's a new tool overspecific, only to fly between the thargoid lines as faster as you can. I'm a bit deceived, a low fuel compsumption or an increased jump range would be appreciated.

wouldn't it be funny if the message for the SCO Was "Injected 5 KG Of pure caffeine into the FSD"

it seems crap to me , you need to consume resources , it drives like you are drunk , it overheats your ship , so you must have heatsinks and that damages your modules so you need to have AFMS too , plus it sucks a bit too much fuel on my opinion

I'm wondering if it would be good for the mamba due to it having the best heat dispersion in the game at around 70+ % but then again you havr the issue of running out of fuel

You need to stop running SCO for longer than 3 seconds.

Try stacking 10 Odyssey ground missions, then do them with a fully engineered A-class FSD. Now stack 10 and do them with the SCO.
      Add up the time saved.
      Write FDev a thank-you note.

It's a bandaid to forcing players to sit, wait and do nothing AKA bad game design. Typical FDEV.
