I love how he actually says that the recoil is beating him up a bit lots of RUclips guys act like it's not a problem. I know from experience if you shoot a box (25) of hot shells your shoulder is going to be bruised for a while and I wouldn't consider myself a wimp but it's going to hurt. Especially some waterfowl loads I think they kick more than most slugs or buckshot. Anyway I think it's good especially for new shooters to know that sometimes it hurts to shoot those hot rounds
Lol I went to the clay range and put 500 or 600 rounds through my turkey gun. Then I took it over to the patterning lane to check the pattern of my 3.5" turkey loads. Id never shot a turkey load before. When I touched it off you probably could of heard me holler in the next county over. I never would have believed the recoil was so much more stout than a 3" magnum slug.
I think it depends on the gun. I have a benelli m4 and it’s quite heavy. I shot a couple hundred slugs and bunch through it yesterday and I’m feeling fine. I would not be able to say that if I had used my 870 or Sxp defender
If you guys employed push pull trick then it doesnt hurt at all.....in shotgun classes we typically run 500 rounds in one day and I've never had bruising or soreness afterwards as long I was using push pull....look up Rob Haught
@@scotgray2770 exactly I shot a .50 cal all day I was fine, the other guys were sore and had bruising and they shot half I did because they hurt too much, it's shooter experience.
It’s not easy but I can ghost load a 2 3/4” shell in my M-3. You have to pull the bolt about 3/5ths the way back and then hook the shell under the bolt
A beautiful gun, this video really helped me out with a 3D model M3 that I created in Blender. Much appreciated for your demonstration of the firing mode lock.
This is one of the best gun channels . Eric knows his firearms and can give an impressive amount of information. Then he starts pulling the trigger and the joy takes over. 😄 To many guys want to be serious went presenting a firearm but Eric is just having a day at the range and it awesome to watch.
not to mention, the thing that holds the Benelli M4 back, is that 2-round limiter that's installed on the civilian version of the shotgun, forcing the customer to purchase the 2-round magazine extension tube (or replacing the entire 5-round capacity altogether). Whereas Military and Law Enforcement Agencies are the only ones who can get the full 9-round capacity right-out-of-the-box!!!
I have an old M1 Super 90 from 1986 marked H&K. And I have an M3 Super 90 from 2021. M1 has the rifle sights. M3 has Ghost ring sights. Both have extended mag tubes. Best shotguns ever made. Super fast, super accurate, super reliable. If you dont have one, then you don't know. If you do, there's nothing else to say
Eric, you can ghost load, fill mag, flip up feed ramp so it doesn't cycle a shell, drop one in chamber, let the bolt come ahead just a bit, push one below the bolt, and close the bolt.
Thank you for this video! I own an m3, and good videos on these are almost non existent. I've watched what I could on Chad's m3, and those videos were great. I've only upgraded the bare minimum on mine, but I'm seriously considering the LE stock as at 5'9", the Super 90 combat stock is basically useless when I wear armor.
People do more harm than good to shotguns with aftermarket doo-dads. All you would want for serious use is a white light (plenty of solutions for this) and a sling (also super easy).
@@1sonjohn44 A Nordic components clamp with the rail attached is always a reliable solution. Best of both worlds! I been wanting a pump action. But lately been looking at semis. This gives you both. Probably up there in price compare to a 590 or 1301.
I'm more impressed with the fact you can find federal flight control more than I am that you have a LE version m3. I haven't seen flight control anywhere for a long long time, if anyone has any tips on where they have it let me know.
I know this reply is a little but I just received my order of flight control (ordered in Jan of 2021) from Lawmans in North Carolina so I'm assuming they have it in stock

Eric, Good video. The M3 can switch from pump to auto depending on the ammo your trying too shoot you were clear about that ,but how dose it feed on shorty shell's??
