Thanks for answering:) I had only Ikea bag and nothing else. considered to purchase expensive hard case, but somehow it made it. i brought my 3rd partys handy pump which didnt work well and brought my brompton to the gas station, but their compressor didnt support 8bars so i went to the local bicycle shop though.

I think I now need to order one for myself as well so that we can tour with them together, something I hadn't thought about. We had only considered it for daily commuting. I appreciate for your heart warming comment. I was like you and used my Brompton for my daily commute, but this bike has a lot more potential to do more things like go traveling, go camping or more. I love Bali, though I've never cycled there on the two trips I've had. Scooter both times so I got to see far away places. My last trip was three months in 2019 and it seems like so long ago...hopefully everything settled down again next year for a further three months...and who knows, maybe I'll hire a bike!
I fully agree with you Mr 5. I hope everythings settled down very soon. next time you go to bali i recommend to take a bike, cuz it make you to communicate with local friendly ppl. when i riding bike there are many ppl trying to talk to me. so i do recommend bike:)
Nice video! Wasn’t it hard to ride the Brompton when you sometimes encounter roads with bad condition? That scene where you rode down slope and there was a pothole on the road was scary. Also, how did you take videos from your own point of view when you were pedaling?

I took my gravel bicycle to Japan in December. I rode in Japan until September. I love JAPAN . High tech, clean and populated with considerate people. Japan is superior to America. Last week I bought a 5 year old raw lacquer titanium Brompton for $2700. I will continue traveling with my BROMPTON and tent.

I am planning to fly to Jakarta and bring my brompton with me but afraid that the officials there would just ask me to declare and pay crazy amount of fees. Hi Porseni;) i traveled to Bali beginning of this year before Indonesia lockdown and no one (inc. customes, airplane company)stopped me for whole process. but i paid ca.$10 for extra insurance for Airline company in Japan before i onboard. the travel with brompton is very easy so dont afraid too much!
Takuya Debun good to know that everything went well for you! Great tip on the insiurance, definitely will go for it as well. Yeah. I hope my experience would be as swift as yours! Nowadays with the influx of brompton exports to Indonesia, the govt is trying to get as much tax as possible, including from people who bring the bikes in for personal use. It’s tricky sometimes as they might trap you into paying, but I hope I’ll be okay as long as I make myself aware of the regulations there :)

The hotel i stayed was Royal Pita Maha which was the best hotel i ever stayed all over the world. Recommend for sure:)

There were some roads are not rly good but was not so bad in Bali. How i took video is very simpe; place a camera on the tripod and run away from it.
