    Good topic!
In summary, there are regulated and unregulated professions. In regulated jobs, the recognition of your qualifications will be determined by the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory authority; and for non-regulated, recognition is normally at the discretion of the employer.
Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Engineers etc are regulated professions. So its important to establish if ones career is regulated or not to determine how to proceed in a new country.
Career Transition is another interesting topic that you have touched upon and i think one of the most important factor in the choice of a new career path should be the existence of transferable skills.

Thank you for this valuable insight, I have been teaching in secondary school for some years. But I am thinking of switching to lecturing in Canada, my plan is to come in through study route.

I’m glad you find this informative. Depending on the province you are coming to, you need to research on the requirements. What I itemize in the video is for Ontario. Having experience in the US might give you some edge, but you still need to be liscenced
