How dare you bring tears to my eyes with this emotionally moving speech you glorious bastard. Someone upgrade this man's cooking license, he's earned it. Also secession studios, fantastic tastes my guy.
A lot of people would rather do other things to recover in rest, but they’re too financially poor for it. These mobile videogames are free. They’re also convenient, unlike other recreational outlets that are more strenuous when one is already exhausted. I’ve spent many years in the “abyss” of layers of suffering, and one central one was illness that incapacitated me from even using a PC or console. So, I could only play mobile games and then when I recovered my health enough to use those other devices I was too broke to buy them. In the majority of that time, I was addicted to gacha games but never went past the first few episodes of the story since they were so boring to me. I had an extremely low tolerance for grinding since before I was ill, many years ago while I was in school, I played console and PC games vividly for fun. I played gacha games avidly throughout the illness era and tried pretty much every game out there, I sometimes spent more time researching for new gacha games and strategies to grind in them than playing them. I just wanted to feel like I could gain something. But addiction aside, they were very beneficial to me overall and taught me many things. Alchemy Stars literally taught me how to wind down for sleep, eat healthily, rinse my face in the morning, and avoid strenuous activities while ill! Arknights taught me about hope and resolve. Genshin taught me about hard work and diligence. Blue Archive, one of the characters (Megu), taught me “sometimes one needs patience more than firepower”. Azure Lane’s Musashi character taught me about the jealousy of others at one’s honour and ego. Honkai Impact taught me to “take things one step at a time” in one’s strategic plans moving forward. And NIKKE taught me about the folly of trauma. Etc. All the gacha games gave me something to look at inbetween the nightmares, real-world horrors, and insanity. I regret not playing them more when I was insane. I swear, my gacha luck was the best. Some of these characters came at the perfect time and inspired me to a new idea I needed. They were SSSRs. Gacha games are a way of engaging with the wise and refined anime culture in an interactive way, and pretty much the only way to do it on mobile. It’s much better than some western culture TBH and involves concepts like Japanese respect, honour and discipline to train, and wholesomeness that can only be found in anime. Since they’re “live service” games, they’re also infinitely expanding and it can be a social experience online. Gacha games are ahead of their time and have potential beyond the shallow games money-focused publishers make. They could be very nourishing. This is the “real shit” that only a few of us understand. The topic of gacha aside, I hope that everyone in an “abyss” of sorts can persevere through it. I hope that one can find one’s path to power and be willing to take a daring chance in the despairful unknown. Be brave.
Also, EiZEN, why did you choose that name? I read somewhere on the internet that “Eizen” is a Japanese name meaning in hiragana “glory and prosperity”, “eternity” or “wisdom and brilliance”, and “goodness”\”virtue” (not exactly this but similar). Is that related? And what’s the origins of the lowercase “I”?
if you can control your urge to play, you are not an addict to me. Bec you can still do other things while you are playing the game right. if that so, you are not an addict. You still think this is just a game. But some people in the internet even said, Gacha Games are their life, this is an attack for someone like that.
@@MrSnake1994 tbh anyone who makes gacha games their life and personality should be shunned and ignored. they're not worth your effort to make them change their lives just focus on your own or put your effort on the people that actually matter
Alas, our ‘gacha’ is different. >Get on Master Duel, get all the free gems, go straight for The Great Olds pack and pull all the Egyptian God cards and an entire plethora of support cards that work so well together it’s like magic >I will destroy all these puny duelists! *full power Ishizu Tearlaments has entered the chat*
At this point I am considering going completely off-grid in a few years, fuck the techno-industrial dystopia and civilization I am going to become a schizo druid of the woods
Nothing beats the feeling of relief after getting the character you've been waiting for, while still have some resources to use for the next one.
Me getting arjuna alter with a ticket, i used to pray for times like this .
It wasn't the friends we made along the way but the gacha characters we gathered on our journey...
Congrats on hitting 5k, keep it going!
Cheers fellow Comrade Commanders 🍷
