This classic action/adventure platformer from acclaimed developers Double Fine Productions follows the story of a young psychic named Razputin. In his quest to join the Psychonauts--an elite group of international psychic secret agents--he breaks into their secret training facility: Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp. But this is no average psychic summer camp! A mysterious villain has kidnapped Raz's fellow campers and stolen their brains. Now he must use his psychic powers of Telekinesis, Levitation, and most of all his ability to project himself into the minds of others--to find the loose noodles and keep them from falling into the wrong hands. Fight mental demons! Uncover hidden memories! Sort emotional baggage! Explore the fantastic realm of the inner mind! Join the Psychonauts!
I'm still convinced these nobody actually calls Razputin "Raz", and that he just said that to make himself sound cooler.

It's sort of like calling someone by their middle name after trying to insist they use your nickname. They're just screwing with him because he's the new kid and for most, it's probably just a habit by now.
After seeing the scene in the second game where he puts on his goggles and poses in front of the class and gets laughed at i am 100 percent convinced not only that ur right about that but also that he posed and did that cutscene thing every time he was given a merit badge too. Additionally my friend asked me: "why does his goggles glow every time his about to enter a mind? Noone else's eyes glow." and it occurred to me that pretty much all psychic abilities glow unless you are so proficient that they are invisible, therefore i think Raz is not only putting on the goggles before entering a mind to look cool but also using literally any ability to make his goggles glow before entering minds again, just because he thinks it looks cool.
I really hope you guys will be making a sequel to this one, is really an amazing game

Still in my top 3. Not only did it has well, it's sequel felt like it didn't happen 16 years later, but shortly after.
Such great work from Double Fine keeping the feeling across games and decades, but also making fun of it, with great writing, in the game.
Dunno if anyone at Double Fine will read this, Tim Schafer in particular, but thank you for a great childhood, but also in the time waiting for this sequel, I lost a grandmother, reunited with my father after 18 years, and faced a multitude of other family and work issues. So, as a nerd for life, this story but close to home for me and meant a lot to me.

Tim just loves to taunt people by saying he's got sequels planned for Every game Double Fine has ever made, but he won't do it! While we're on the subject, give me more Costume Quest! :D

I'd have expected a remaster of this one before a sequel, which I would've been fine with. But with the ever increasing possibility it'll be released this year, Psychonauts 2 is almost as high on my hype list as Saints Row 2 Mega patch!

Of all the games out there that get sequels, none are more deserving of one than Phychonauts. I would love to have more of it, along with Brutal Legend and Iron Brigade.

killthenerd5 If you support him as a true artist, stop expecting him to rehash old hits. If he can make a good Psychonauts 2, he can make a better New Franchise. If he can't make a good make a new game you like, then he can't make a good Psychonauts 2.

This game gives me a weird sense of nostalgia
Picked this up on Steam the other day, easily one of the all time great 3D platformers. Brings me back to a different time.
This is one of my favorite games, and it's the game that turned me into a DoubleFine fanboy. I intend to buy all your games because I love them so much. Hooray for awesome creative games!

Bought this game on whim when it came out. What a great game. Also, weirdly accurate and respectful of mental disorders. As a kid at the time who was HUGE into psychology it was super fun to play.

Man, I used to remember playing "Jaws Unleashed" and in the bonus selection. I saw this and never thought they would come back. This is truly surprising!
Yes Tim and Double Fine, since I played this in 2007 I paid very close attention to you guys, just waiting another game this inspired and creative. Six years later you gave me dozens of xbox games, small games, kickstarter games that won't be out for years and Brutal Legend. I'm still waiting.
