When I was 15 I took the picture of Till from Herzeleid CD jacket to a Great Clips in rural Wisconsin and asked the lady if she could give me that hairstyle. She looked at the picture and her eyes widened slightly and she said, "Ooooh? I s'pose," and proceeded to give me the most generic haircut of all time.
I remember reading in an interview, Till said he actually got nerves on stage and these early shows makes it more believable, it seems he has difficulty looking at the crowd directly and seems a lot less comfortable than we usually see him today, apparently all the stage gimmicks was there to distract the crowd from him originally as well put on a performance obviously. If its true then you've got to give the guy credit for always putting on a show and definitely growing in confidence over the years, as now it's hard to believe he ever suffered with stage fright.
Love the fact that everyone (except the drummer) stops playing to give Flake enough time to show his dance moves. That is a hidden gem nestled in an already amazing song. Love these guys.
With a drab, morbid and redundantly irritating drone, spoke in one of the world’s “romantic languages”… I was thoroughly surprised too! But then again… it doesn’t take much to impress or influence Gen-Z…
One of the few bands with no breakups really, no suicide, no overdosing, nothing really that you see from Hollywood. They live full lives, still together today, one of the very few.

Till looks great here. I think he was at his peak appearance wise around the age he was in this video-33 years old, up to around age 42 or 43, when Volkerball came out. Edited to add- even today for a guy in his 60s he's not too bad, but back then he was absolutely amazing looking and one of the most attractive men I've ever seen. I also loved and still love his voice.,
The fact they had to perform at a festival before dark is wild. I was vaguely aware of them back then, and over the years (older than Moses) I really like this bunch of guys. They are crazy dedicated to their art.
this video was from 1996! I saw them in the United States: 1998 New Jersey! 1st concert of 4 so far! NJ-Dysfuntional Family Tour, NY Hammerstein Ballroom, Again East Rutherford, NJ as a Mother's Day gift & in Philadelphia, PA 2022! I will be there for a 5th when they return! They are Geniuses! Way back I had the uncut version on VCR of their Senshucht concert! 🤘❤️
To be honest, I attended their concert this year in Prague and although people were recording, including myself because hey I might never see them live again, people were mainly just enjoying the moment
I've listened to "some" Rammstein in my life but it never gripped me. Amazing that this performance TWO!!! years after they formed is bringing me back so much. Amazing sound mix and performance.

Tremendous energy from the early crew and the dynamic quality cannot be matched by any other band. Maybe the German in me levitated my appreciation of the greatest Rock band in the world 🌎.
