Thank you for visiting. You are very welcome in our country, and thank you for your amazing photo. I am Tunisian and I admire President Bourguiba because he led the struggle to obtain our independence. He also led efforts to liberate women and build our institutions. He introduced free education and free healthcare for all, among many other things. Islamists hate him because he banned polygamy and marrying girls under 18. There were problems with democracy, but we have to judge this with the perception of that time. At the end of his rule, he was very sick, so he made some mistakes.
My friend Barjiba was a reformer and builder of the modern state of the Tunisian Republic. He made reforms in education with excellent standards and gave women’s rights. Those who hate him are the religious extremists and ISIS who encourage child marriage and polygamy.
Welcome brother .. i just want to tell u somthing .. you have to show more the views and all i feel like u are focusing more on ur face like its 70% of the video is ur face
it's especially you Alex who doesn't know the history of Tunisia well 😂 Sidi Bou Saïd and the white houses with date blue windows long before Santorini in Greece it's rather the Greeks who were inspired by Tunisia moreover Their goddess Athena is a woman of Tunisian origin from Lake Triton. and the Carthaginian Empire is older than Rome and the Byzantines the Romans themselves were strongly inspired by the Carthaginian civilization and the construction of their ships without Greece and Carthage the Romans would never have been a great empire it is enough just to see who created cities like Palermo for example which is Carthaginian. the entire continent took the name Afrika the old name of Tunisia to name the continent it is to give you an overview of the historical power of Tunisia
bourguiba was a typical african leader left by colonializm and that serves diverting the struggle of a nation for liberty and independence to his own persona and serving the colonizer even further ! as a tunisian i personally dont like him at all ! many do tho especially boomers !
Thank you for the insights! He must be a complex figure I believe. Nobody does only good or bad, which is subjective, and we are all a mix when it comes to our actions. Are you from a younger generation?
@@alexito_explores im yeah .. i dont contest we all have a bad side .. but they turning bad apples into hero figures .. he was a dictator and killed Tunisian soul and identity and turn us to 1 dolar version of the west ! also if u want i can show u around the north of tunisia if u still here .. but those videos are aparently filmed in spring not these days ! in any case i hope u enjoyed it ^^
