    My country's road signs are in the Polish colors:Warnings have thin red borders underneath the yellow area

    Japanese road sign shapes
    Circles are mandatory,triangles warn and squares are information signs
    Circles are color coded:
    Red means you must not do and blue means what you must do
    Triangles are always yellow
    Square signs are mostly blue
    Unique shape:Hexagon for stop signs

    Shapes of road signs
    Hexagon means stop
    Circle means regulatory
    Triangle means warning
    Square means information

      White on red circles prohibit
      Yellow on red triangles warn
      Blue signs are informational
      Red on white hexagon stop

    All very true. Just to be picky, though: there's no need to say "squares and rectangles". Squares ARE rectangles!
