Google doesn't index the WordPress media library. They would only know about the images if they are also appearing on other public pages. Hope that helps.

One thing though: I saw that you have answered that Google will not index it... but my question is more precise: if I use a plugin like Yoast SEO or another that automatically generates sitemap.xml, will the post/page be added to it (and therefore, I guess Google would still index it)...?
@@AvisBoone That is sitemap only the way Yoast does it. It is still included in the search and if it is a blog post it will be showing on your blog page.

you cannot, once you share it with someone nothing stops that person from sharing it elsewhere... Well there's a way but requires some coding or having that post only available for a certain time frame.

Well with the plug and is doing is preventing the page or post from appearing in the search on your website and also giving search engines instructions to not index the page. I do think your idea of having a expiring link is really cool but it's a bit out of scope of this plugin.
In the editor there is also the little publish menu. If I choose in 'status' the draft option (so un-publish), would that keep the page/post hidden for the public as well? Or in 'visibility' the private option?

I might, but I don't really see that plug-in going anywhere. There are lots of structural problems with it and there is no real reassurance that is going to be supported in the future. I personally wouldn't build anything with it.

Am helping another colleague/vendor by creating a hidden page on my Wordpress website that will help with their project, however, I'd like to hide my website address as this is not my project. I've created a QR code that will take users directly to this page for what they need to do, but I'd like to either hide my website address, or replace it with other text that the end-users will be instead of my website address. (ie- the page has a project name, but the address shows my website address info; would like it to reflect the same name of the project instead, or nothing) Make sense? Is this possible?

Yes and the search on your website. The only way to see the content would be to have a direct link to it. Google won't know it's there, it won't show on any site maps, and it won't show in the search.

It's working fine and its still Brainstorm Force. Nikhil is one of the main guys on the team, it has always listed him as the plugin author.

I am pretty sure it will be excluded from the site map. However I would need to go and verify it.

Can you use unlisted urls for a redirect test?

This only requires someone having the link. No need to be logged in or anything like that.

Yes and the search on your website. The only way to see the content would be to have a direct link to it. Google won't know it's there, it won't show on any site maps, and it won't show in the search.
does it take awhile to work? I see on my source the meta robots noindex code but I still see product pages showing up in search?
With it enabled and if you have been activated on a particular page, it won't show in the search on your blog.

No because even if you have a nofollow, the post is still on your site and is searchable on your site
