  • The Jacksonville Jaguars are mostly done with off-season player acquisitions with only a couple of depth pieces needed. The mystery now becomes whether or not the team actually got better (on paper) than they were last year. So on this episode I went position by position to assess that very thing.

    Great points about the WR room. They have better breadth of abilities now than they did last season. It's a more multifaceted room with more varied threats compared to last season and that's no shade on Ridley.

    Yup - it ALL comes down to Trevor...he has the talent to become #7,6 or maybe #5 in league if he puts it all together...but right now I would put him between 12-14.

    Mac Brown > Mac Jones?? haha TBH = To Be Honest Overall roster seems much better to me. I'm far more comfortable with both the OL & DL than I was this time last year.

      I think we got a better division of young guys and veterans now Arik on the D line with Travon and Josh kinda goes crazy we got a couple veteran Coreners even if there stats aren’t insane they know how to play there spot and have been solid in the past I think they did great in the aspect of getting people in FR and simlar positions with the draft meaning solid vets can teach the rooks

    Tony, if you were starting a team from scratch, which three positions would you prioritize? I would choose qb, ot, and de.

    We have a lot of young talented players with star potential we didn’t need a big name. We needed veterans that bring experience and a skill set that compliments that young talent and allows that talent to grow.

    Zay and Ridley combined for 100 catches, 1350 yards and 10 touchdowns. BTJ and Gabe would have to suck to not pass that production.
    The parts that needed to be upgraded, definitely upgraded IMO. Both interiors and the WR core. No Niners, No Chiefs, No Ravens on the schedule can only be a good thing lol
    I think we win 2 or 3 more honestly. Based on the home schedule, the London game and our division record the last two years(8-4).
    I got losses at PHI, at BUF,at MIA, at DET and then 2/3 with HOU, CLE and the NYJ in Jacksonville.
    6 losses. Indy and Tenn get the broom and we get our shyt together at home. Playoffs.

    I think that we improved SOME...but the problem is so did Hou and Ind and TN as well...I think any improvements we have made have been matched by what Houston has done. I know it doesn't always work out the way it looks like it will...but to have Hou and Stroud going into year 2 under DeMeco...PLUS getting Joe Mixon, Diggs, and Danielle Hunter...they certainly got better too.

      I feel like Houston has to many players that want to be the star and not enough role players, that may very well bite them in the butt. No doubt they certainly have a scary good team, if they can all come together. But nonetheless DTWD

      TN lost Henry tho so there run game is pretty useless now

    • @maniacslap1623
      @maniacslap1623 25 дней назад

      Diggs is older than Ridley, had 40 more catches and similar yards last year with Josh Allen. Long as Davon and Arik are healthy, not worried about Mixon at all. Last two years, road team has won.
      Tennessee? DHop a year older. They added Ridley who apparently can’t learn a playbook OR catch(130 target,65 catches). They running it back with either Tannehil or Levis. Not scared there.
      We own the Colts till we don’t.
      With all that said, we were all within a game of each other minus Tennessee. Houston won’t play a last place schedule this year and we won’t play a first place schedule.

    BTJ is a bigger more sure handed version of Ridley, nothing like Zay playstyle wise, same for Davis vs Zay in my view. Davis is better than Zay, and BTJ is a clear upgrade from Ridely, the Jags upgraded tue position and got younger.

  • @chrayondrayjohnson1635

    $100 says Jags win the division, and neither Huston nor Indy make the playoffs, I see the roles switching and CJ Stroud crashes down to earth and has a rookie type year.

    With how SOFT and how BAD our OLine was last year...is our Coaching Staff even Qualified to evaluate olineman? As in - they really really like Cooper Hodges...well....so? they liked our Oline and thought we were set last year...and look how that turned out....we shall see.

    BTJ and Gabe Davis are better than Zay Jones and Calvin Ridley.

    • @jayshupp5971
      @jayshupp5971 25 дней назад

      A healthy Zay Jones is better than Gabe Davis period. Calvin Ridley may be better than BTJ in 2024, but I believe BTJ will be one of the top 5 WR’s in the NFL by 2026. His ceiling is so much higher than Ridley’s. Fans just need to have patience. It normally takes a year or two for rookie WR’s to develop chemistry with a new QB and acclimate to the NFL.
