I believe Quintin Bisch the perfumer was duping his own creation La Belle, but gave it a middle eastern spin, since Lattafa is known for putting their own spin on fragrances. I think it’s great and right on par with Lattafa. I like Teriaq a lot!

Really?? I don't get that at all! I love this fragrance! It is giving sweet almond caramel-honey to me in the best way. A tiny touch of leather in the dry down but it isn't really that noticeable. I love this fragrance so much! If I had watched your review before ordering I probably wouldn't have ordered. So I'm glad I went for it! And I am not that big on La Belle either. I can see a 25% similarity to La Belle but this is it's own thing imo

Hi Sim 🪷 Please come back with Teriaq in a month or so. I have a feeling that the notes are going to change in a positive direction after it sits for a while. That's how Niche Emarati fragrances changed my mind about them, for example.

I just got Teriaq and wowww it’s a strong like. It’s like La Belle and Pink Sugar had a baby but much more elevated, creamy and sexy. Also the suede in the background gives it a nice edge
I think I need to give mine some time to sit. Coz it was very underwhelming. And disappeared so soon. Maybe it needs to macerate and react a little bit ❤❤❤ I need to get Pink sugar again for myself along with the Juicy Gold lol. I know it is so lame but I am craving them ❤❤❤

You know it is so sad because all the brands are trying to stay afloat by creating dupes or inspired by, just because middle eastern perfumes have got that reputation now and people expect them to be dupes of something with relatively lesser price.

Yes, a very sad reality because the market is so saturated with dupes. Even local brands here in the Philippines mostly focus on duping famous designer or niche brands. No rush doing this request though. I want you to have fun discovering as well.

I've been hesitant to get it because I just can't wrap my head around the, um, interesting bottle (am I just weird or does anyone else pass on purchasing a fragrance simply cuz the bottle is rather aesthetically unpleasant 🤣). Sounds a bit too masculine for me.

I think instead of getting the Emir Cherry Cola one , I’ll just combine one of my cherry perfumes w/ a cola classic like Youth Dew or just wear Lamsat Harir w/ added cherry! I did order the Lataffa Quinton Bisch- mainly because I’m a huge fan of La Belle and it sprays out so fast and I’d love a good clone. So we shall see… 🥰❤️
I like teriaq, it actually lasts a really long time for me. To me it kind of smells like cinnamon french toast with maple syrup? Curious to see if it changes over time since my bottle was also produced in january.

I think Teriaq needs maceration. Maybe that's why the reviews are so conflicted. Musamam White is a obsession for me. I just cant get enough of it. So unique and delicious ❤️
Hey, Simin! Have you tried any Ahmed al Maghribi fragrances? They're super high quality. I would recommend you try Rose Noir, Miss Rose, Araak, Pure wonder, Instance but they're all very good, I haven't tried something I didn't like from them.

I got a sample of Teriaq. Definitely La Belle inspired. First spray I get sweet & spice. Unusual , different. I really like it. I Get the caramel, the honey. Apricot. A spice was from the pepper. I like it more than La Belle. Very sweet & quite strong. Some might find this cloying. The Honey note gives it a JPG scandal vibe. Ordered a bottle. Enjoy your reviews. 💗

I am letting Teriaq macerate some more before I make final thoughts about it. I really wanted to like it. Now that you say it, it does give off Scandal with La Belle. I will revisit it in a month or two.

Try Impériale Valley on skin. It’s not too masculine actually. The drydown is GORGEOUS!!!!

Hello Madam. I bought a 50ml of Imperial Valley for my birthday however it was not my cup of tea so I bought Gissah- La Luna Valley lately...it was not love at first sniff but after a 1ml sample I ended up loving it and I bought a 50ml while waiting for my 200ml🥰🥰🥰 Its woody, fruity and one of the base notes is incense but can be smelled from opening to drydown. The most feminine smelling ones might be the musk collection- Lunar, Astra and Solar.

There is the difference note between imperial valley and imperial II. same thing for hudson valley and hudson II.
Hudson valley big bottle 200 ml is better than hudson II 90mL

You’ve bought the Hudson II and Imperial II set. I think the notes and ratings listed on Fragrantica are for the original Hudson Valley and Imperial Valley fragrances which I think are different.

I just checked their website. It is so weird. The Imperial is the same notes to Imperial II but Hudson II is completely different. Sheesh. I need to understand the brand better ❤

You don't want a designer like Quentin Bisch with a fragrance like La Belle? He was one of the perfumers of La Belle. 🙂 I think it's likely though that Lattafa just bought one of the La Belle failed briefs and then added to it.
Oh my word!!!! It all makes sense now 😂😂😂 I was wondering how a Quentin Bisch creation is going for such low price (compared to designer counterparts and since Lattafa is not being shy about raising prices). Thank youuuuuu. This gave me a weird sense of peace with this perfume lol.
@@SiminShaikh the perfumers work for the oil houses (except where they choose to go independent) so the same perfumers work for everyone but within the set budget. If a house like JPG approaches a house with a specific brief, ie we want it to smell like this and not exceed X cost, any modifications of a fragrance that were rejected belong to the oil House and can be sold cheaper to another perfume house. So for example, Kayali have the modification numbers on, vanilla 28 will have had 27 attempts to meet the brief that were rejected. The oil house that developed it has 27 formulas ready made that they can sell on. Francis Kurkdjian made BR540 but he also made Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. That's why we end up with so many similar fragrances.
Edit to add, the big four oil houses are IFF, Symrise, Guivadan, Firmeniche so as long as they buy a base from them the chances are they will pick up a design from a well known perfumer.
I love Lattafa teriaq is sweet little bit powder caramel pear honey vanilla and i don’t get any leather it smells like JGP La bell but not dupe.

I'm going to keep using it because my favorite perfumes were not always love at first sniff. Out of respect for the perfumer, I'm going to wait. Ajwaa I do not like. And I bought the whole bottle. LOOK AT THAT BOTTLE, SIM. It's positively pornographic 😂. It's hiding in my closet. I'm too embarrassed to display it. I thought I'd like it because... Dates! I love dates. Nope. Waaay too strong.

Hudson Valley, I wasn’t too fond of the opening. It’s too solar and floral in the opening, but the drydown is nice. I much prefer Impériale Valley…. My favorite Gissah so far is One & Only in the pink bottle. It’s soooo sensual!!!!!!
I usually love Solar Notes (eg. Kenzo World Power) but this one was a little too aquatic solar if you know what I mean lol. I am so glad you suggested a Gissah coz I do want to try the brand but do not know where to start. Note taken ❤

It definitely fades quickly, it's such a beautiful scent and bottle and I have to over spray. It almost feels like a mist in a way. I'm hoping after sitting for awhile it'll be stronger. @@Lajolies2scents

Not even a bit. Lamsat Harir is a very sweet pure cola kind of scent. Very beautiful and feminine. Cherry Cola is very spicy. It has tons of Cinnamon and Nutmeg which kills joy.

Am I the only one who thinks Teriaq smells like pickle juice? I don't get any gourmand floral notes. Maybe my nose is broken but all I smell is leather. I had such high expectations. Anyway i'm letting it macerate
Oooooh so many people have said that. I have not smelled the pickle though but i've heard that the paper note I am smelling can translate to paper to some and pickle juice to others. I will also let it sit for a month or two before testing it again. The longevity is also super poor as of now.

I was going to give Lattafa Teriaq a big miss as something about it did not appeal to me at all. I am so glad I felt this way. It is strange, when something gets so much hype the expectations are raised as well and for this to be not so special seems sad. You are amazing persevering with this, ( I sometimes get like this and then usually I give up or I start loving something 🤣).

We have some bush fires and some very warm weather forecast so I may not be online for a few days. I sat in 37 degrees ( as it got so warm inside) last week editing a video for this music channel and adding transcript of an interview in English and then translated it into German and also time stamped all of it so I was exhausted and somehow felt like I had heat exhaustion on top of it. Not used to the hot weather as we had a fairly mild summer up to now.

Pushkin had a lovely 10th birthday yesterday, was given loads of treats ( as was Sunti) and smooched and played with, cat nip was licked by them, parrots were bathing in their bird bath so they had lots of entertainment and a baby Pademelon visited in the garden during the day, so they had a wonderful day, basically like every day is for them 😸😺😻🐱.

I think Teriaq need to sit. It is too fresh a batch. And the reviews are sooooo conflicting. I personally found it super underwhelming, but I see in the comments that many people love it. So I will take it out in a month or two again to test it out.

I am so sorry about the weather there in Tas. Bushfires are very scary. I have never experienced them but spontaneous combustion really scares me, especially if it is so terrifyingly difficult to contain 😩😩😩 It is a pleasant 22 degrees here in Dubai although it feels like 27 under the sun. We are enjoying the last few days of spring. It is expected to rain this weekend as they have been cloud seeding to delay the onset of summer.

I had to search what a Pademelon was but I assumed it was a marsupial. So cute lol. We had these pigeons in our balcony (we dont have much variety when it comes to common fauna hahaha 😂), they has laid eggs so we did not disturb them. And 3 chicks have hatched hahaha. Can you imagine how mental Markus has gone. He keeps trying to go out and I have to be so careful with him 😂😂😂

I hate and fear bush fires. We lived through one , stayed awake all night ready to leave with our cats over 20 or so years ago. Saw trees explode and never heard the noise of fire since that day and do not wish to, very scary.
We get strong winds which can make it very tricky and also being an island get sea breezes which can make fires jump which they did that day when it jumped a highway and fairly close.
But we were OK, 2 houses were lost but the loss of wildlife broke our hearts.
We have a reserve at the end of our street which is why so many animals and parrots come. We also have pigeons but ours are native and very pretty, sort of shimmery colours. But how wonderful , you had eggs from them and babies hatched. Poor Markus, he must have gone crazy. Sunti loves the birds and Paddies so much but Pushkin would hunt a bird given the chance.
