Here is what I believe happens. Figure does walk from door 50 to 100, by going through door 50 and then the door on the left side of room 49, that the red light opened up for figure and then blocked off again. This would make figure end up outside of the hotel. I know for sure the door ends up outside of the hotel, because there is a window on the left side of room 50, that suggests that the door on the left side of room 49 ends you up outside. ''Is Figure able to fit through that tiny door, though?'' Yes. He can be seen going through doors of the same size at the second encounter with Figure in floor 2. From there, Figure goes back inside of the hotel a few doors before door 90, and ends up in door 100. And now for how Figure ends up in the mines, it could actually be explained really easily. At the ending cut scene of floor 1, you see that figure ends up on top of the elevator you're on, and then eventually gets off the elevator again and now in a hallway. I believe that this hallway leads to a pipe, which eventually leads to the place where you first encounter Figure in the mines. If you look carefully at that room, you can see that the pipe at the top of the room actually has a hole in it, that Figure falls through once the room is loaded in. For how Figure got to the second and third encounter, I think he used the same trick with having the red light open doors for him and blocking him off. Feel free to add to this theory. Also, this video was great! Keep up the good content. Edit: More evidence on that the red light entity opened the door: El Goblino has a dialogue that reads: "Oye, that macho-meat-düd came in here a while ago, alm- uh- almost destroyed the place! Uff, man! Calm down!". This means that Figure must've been able to go to other rooms in the hotel.
this theory seems good but why doesn't figure just escape? And also how did they get back in to any of the many rooms he goes in? (it cant be the windows because they would be broken if figure came through). Also el goblino saying they found figure before means that figure has been going and leaving the library long before we got there. But still this is a good theory because every other one i find about figure's way of transportation has like mountains of evidence to debunk them.
Solid theory! But I do have one thing to add, since the layout of the hotel is constantly changing and in a random order, the figure could’ve taken the same path we did, just through different rooms, the same ruined rooms we encounter on our way to door 100. The reason I think the figure is in that little closeted location in room 100 is because he’s hiding(to ambush us), waiting for us to get there.
@@folkzzing the rooms only change when you die, so figure would still be following your path. Also guiding light locks the door out of the library so he wouldnt be able to follow you
I feel like instead of Mischevious Light doing that, it’s just Figure ‘emself. I mean, We know the Figure is a strong entity. He took down an elevator, survived being burnt alive. Fell out of a pipe from a like 50ft drop. And all that, no visible damage. I think he just… broke down the wooden doors that only have (sometimes) wooden planks in the way
currently haven't beaten floor 2 yet, but i have the theory that figure actually originated in the mines, and wasn't supposed to be in the hotel. figure is a blind creature that relies on sound, that sounds quite fitting for dark caves. furthermore, figure is often seen eating gloombats, and the light from their head would make a lot of sense if it was meant to lure gloombats. this also explains the reason why there's destroyed rooms past door 50, figure came from the elevator near that lead to the mines, broke the generator, and made his way into the library. However, not very sure how figure travels anywhere, it could be possible that figure just climbed outside the window in the library and ran all the way to the electrical room. also, there's a probability of there being multiple figures, but the name "THE figure" makes me doubt this idea.
we would say the destroyed rooms was figure but it was el goblino if u look at figures hands he doesnt have three claws to destroy that room in particular so it was el goblino that had been flippin over in rage over something although maybe theres a possibility that figure also came along recking everything making goblino afraid and stopped his wreckage to hide from figure
2:45 just like 2/3 of the Doors lore Plus, I think the third light character can help figure teleport to these places with supernatural abilities, just like guiding light does sometimes. Or, it could help undo the previous figure, and use its soul in another blob of flesh and bones, and form a humanoid body, just like it does with seek. Something that may debunk your theory is door 113.
I believe that Figure is born from the meat that appears in the rooms they are found in (minus the library), like in room 100, where Figure comes out of a passage that has nothing but meat, and looks like they are made of meat and the bones from the meat. Maybe Figure being born from meat has something to do with strange magic or the Mischievous Light, I don't know.
Maybe he can sense when piles of meat are around and that's why he goes into rooms with meat. We don't see him teleport or become created from the meat but he has a connection to it
"The flesh that is blind approaches" -Guiding light propably Also he most propably just tunnels out, since blind creatures thrive in dark enviroments I would not be suprrised if he can just burrow through the ground like a mole. Also he uses the vents to get places, which is propably him confusing vents for his tunnels. Also the flesh piles might be him covering his tunnels so nothing else enters them other than him.
this could be true bc we see figure being able to walk through the meat for some reason but when you walk on it its a physical surface meaning ever the developers were lazy or figure can walk through the figure meat.
I have my own theory/explination/ The devs have stated that the light figure emmits from his head let's him see a few feet infront of him, but also, given the growling he constantly making, it's highly likely that The Figure uses a basic form of Echolocation. further more, we can see in floor 2, he mainly falls out of a grate on a pipe, implying he was crawling through it. figure probably heard el' goblino's knocking and started tearing up the room he was in looking for them, and there's a blocked off route at the top of door 100, as for that part I'm guessing figure took that route, knocked the boxes down, and ended up where we see him in the final cutscene.
Another few things I'd like you to debunk: * Where even are we? Is it some dimension? * Why are there human structure remains, like at Door 100? *There's also a lot of prop doors at Door 100, that could mean that the people before us were trying to cover something up.* * There are many things as seen in the Floor 2 lockers, like wrenches, wires, and even clothes. Was this a diversion to redirect us made by The Architects, or were there people here trying to explore like us?
I doubt the wrenches, the wires and even the clothings have some sort of relevant. You should instead be asking that why is there an oddly placed garden in the mines.
I'd say the red light theory has evidence seen in game as during room 200, you see a red glow indicating where the "seek worms" are going to attack as well as a red glow seemingly guiding the hands to the player. If the red glow that we see is actually the 3rd light, then it would make sense for the red light to guide other entities to the player or rooms where it knows the player will visit.
The red light it also all over the place during the Seek chases, which might be why Guiding Light only seals the door at the end of the chase as the Red light has control over the area so Guiding Light doesn't haveas much power in it.
Cheddar, have you ever thought of there being multiple figures? That is totally possible and there wont be any sorts of problems, how do we know its the same figure? the misch(red) light theory needs there to be red light at the start of figure for it to work, but this one actually makes sense
i have a theory: figure can dig tunnels under the hotel and uses the flesh to cover the tunnel holes which would explain why there are no flesh in the library as figure hasn't dug any tunnel yet same thing with the mines as the 2nd and 3rd encounter with figure all have flesh in them but i can't explain why the first encounter has flesh this is ny theory also i think the red light entity might be the one guiding figure through the tunnel digging or he is following the sound of the player's steps as he is digging to follow us
redibles actually once said that figure gets to the electrical room by breaking down the broken/unopenable doors, taking an alternate path than the one the player takes. i think this would make more sense in combination with the red light idea, with the red light possibly doing things to create noise in order to lure figure towards the players' destinations (as figure is blind, after all)
@@the_real_aarush yeah i think so, logically it's either that or figure broke through jeff's shop after you leave, but i'd say its probably not through jeff's shop because of guiding light sealing door 51 shut
@@the_cat_the_cat yeah and you could say that the red light closes and reopens the doors that we can't go thru but figure can (although you can say figure is strong enough to break the door)
Although I like these two theories, there is a lot of evidence to prove that they are false. Here is my explanation… We know that the modifiers are the third architect, this can be confirmed by the ‘Spacetime’ painting only present at the entrance to The Rooms. We see three celestial shapes, the guiding light’s crescent moon, curious light’s star & finally the modifier’s red spiral shape which I believe to be a galaxy of some sort. Modifiers can also heavily impact the game, however they aren’t necessarily against us players. There are modifiers that help us and there are ones that help other entities, but those modifiers offer more knobs in each run. Now that we’ve got the modifiers (3rd architect) out of the way, we can focus on the main point of this video. Judging by figure’s rooms in the mines, we can clearly see how he falls from a vent in the pipes on the ceiling, this happens in all 3 rooms belonging to the figure in the Mines, meaning that he uses vents/pipes to get from point A to point B in the mines. Figure is a bit harder to explain in the Hotel, however I do feel like it is just an oversight from the developers that he just appears in each room of the Hotel. The mines are much more developed and detailed, they make a ton more sense when compared to the Hotel and have been worked on for a longer time. Additionally, the way figure enters the mines is very easy to explain. We can see in the ending of floor 1 that he manages to get on a room present in the elevator shaft, this goes back to where I explained his movement in the Mines. So yeah, I don’t think Figure teleports whatsoever, he just seems to be able to use vents and other ways of getting around to his advantage, hope this helped!
Thank you so much, while I was watching video, I kinda felt that he didn't really "debunk" anything, he just said they were false due to lack of evidence, and gave no further explanation
4:21 It has been mentioned in the game when your playing in multiplayer, someone completes the library and opens the door but the other person is all the somewhere else, once they pass through the door guiding light teleports the other player out of the library
@@Official_trox456 yes although the guiding light closes the doors, the animation is exactly the void (just like when your friends are 6-7 rooms ahead of you)
I’ve heard a theory that curious light controls figure. This is because like with Seek, we always see red particles around him, meaning Mischievous light (red light) is controlling him. With figure, we see a yellow light coming from his mouth, meaning curious light is controlling him. The reason why curious light controls figure is he is neutral, so when he helps out the player by giving advice, he balances it out to neutrality by making up for it by controlling figure, so he can do just as much bad as he does good, balancing them out, making him neutral.
Curious Light is as confused as we are. If they had control or knowledge, then they would have not been so vague. Unless they pretended to be clueless.
Also the figure meat teleportation theory might be true. If Lsplash in floor 3 brings back figure, figure should be able to dive into meat piles and come outta nowhere. His meat piles also should detect him the there is a player near by one so he jumps into a meat pile and teleports to the one next to you. Figure could also be walking through a wall somewhere because in the hotel, we can hear el goblino in the walls knocking.
@@Squid5671 in a twitter post, one of the devs shared a clip of them testing figure's mechanics while stating they were playtesting floor 3. Also, there are meat piles outside the castle.
My theory is that Guiding light wont block off the library exit forever, and doors close behind us eventually. My theory is that when you get to door 60 or sometime near then, figure broke the library exit door and started chasing us, El goblino and Jeff would know to be quiet so figure would just walk past. Eventually figure would get to a side door thats locked but he could break it open now with him on a different path as us and guiding light would be distracted helping us and not keeping an eye on figure since he’s not near us in this theory. Since we aren’t on his path he would make a Run straight to somewhere near door 90 jump outside from there and enter the greenhouse at door 99, making sure to close doors behind himself since he is very intelligent. After this he locks himself in knowing we will come. It is possible can lock himself in on purpose. He would then be waiting in the corner where the flesh is to ambush us. This theory doesn’t involve devious light since we don’t know what they want or if they would help figure, what means it makes more sense then guessing what a character wants. I stand my case.
I have a mini theory; I think figure is related to curious light I only have two evidence to prove that: 1. Wherever curious light is, Hide is not (Rooms and Backdoor) and wherever figure is Hide isn’t (I don’t know if Hide is in the figure rooms in the mines) 2.Figure has a yellow light, at first this isn’t a problem, but figure is blind so why does he have a light, a yellow one no less. Guiding light also seems to dance around figures name which isn’t evidence in itself but it’s something. I have nothing concrete but I do think while The modifier light has seek(due to the red light he emits in the fights and that he likely has a relation in hide due to names and I think hide is an agent of The modifier light because of its function and appearance) Curious Light had figure because we are about as clueless about the morality of the both of them
I have been hearing a lot about this theory lately that each light character has an entity of its own not sure if it's the way that the devs will lead into but pretty fun to think about And adding to what you said hide itself is also red and yeah it functions very similar to how modifiers would function by making game harder And even tho figure rooms in the mines does contain hide in them but keep mind both figure and hide weren't mean to be there so ig it still makes sense as hide doesn't still appear around figure in the hotel Anyway here are somethings I like to contribute if figure is a curious light entity it would make sense since it's blind and would probably be curious about its surroundings And El goblino also has glowing yellow eyes which could suggest it's a C Light related entity and since they both give us major hints about lore I think it's safe to assume And another thing does that mean that halt is related to Guiding light?? Since it's the only entity with glowing blue aura and he also helps us by warning us to turn around and not be in its way (assuming if the turn around messages aren't given to us by G light) And my final contribution It's interesting that all of the entities that emits light similar to light characters are all supernatural entities not like actual creatures/animals like Giggles, gloombats,Timothy,Jeff
@@luckydemonneet I don’t know what to think of halt. I definitely think it’s related to Guiding Light, I just can’t think how they are related besides color and the messages it send you. As Halt kills you, and guiding light protects you. But if they are deeply related then Hide is definitely related to the modifier light, due to the similarity style in messages that are shown to the screen.
@@samuelsetzco6201 I don't really like theorizing based on nothing but I really like this new theory of each light having its own creations/entities so I would say that maybe halt was supposed to be a guardian of some sort or maybe a guide if you will that might be why it guides us in its encounter telling us when to turn back(but those messages are probably from guiding light and not halt) maybe guiding light created halt to guard/guide us from entities but it got corrupted by something/someone? Or simply halt confuses us for some kind of entity and that's why it kills us Or maybe that's the nature of halt even though guiding light created to help us if it touches us we die for some reason but yeah it would be weird if guiding light created an entity to kill us
Kinda unrelated to the question but I do wonder how the figure eats. It doesn’t seem capable of biting or chewing, and it also doesn’t seem to have a throat. There’s always the possibility that the figure doesn’t need to eat, but in its jumpscare, it shoves the player into its mouth. Either way, good video, cheddarballs!
it could be that it spins its teeth around to shred the food and similarly to venus fly traps and other similar plants that dissolve their prey with acids to "absorb" the food this would make more sense as then the teeth shred down larger prey, the shreds get dissolved and he absorbs the food it must be extremely fast at shredding, dissolving and absorbing its prey since it, well, doesnt show any parts of the body if you are playing multiplayer
well, about the throat one, 3d modeler which made Figure’s model didn’t make throat for it, cuz it would be complicated. And the guy which commented on your commentary has a good point of have it eats
@@BlisanrTrue, but Figure decapitates his victims as shown in the death animation (another player has to watch figure kill you), which may show that the figure doesn’t need to eat. But I believe that figure kills all trespassers before eating them. Either way, your theory still stands.
My theory is that the light entities can't interact with a dimension that they don't own so only guiding light can control the main floors and only curious light can control the subfloors. The modifier runs are like parralel universes to the main floor but the red unnamed light controls them. Thats why your screen goes red when you die in a modifier run. The red entity isn't responsible for stopping the crucifix on boss entities but instead its just that those specific entities just have enough strength to break out. Like seek, for example, is extremely powerful. Figure has some insane durability as well being able to survive a fire with ease. Grumble is just stupidly large and probably just as strong
or maybe each entity has a fraction of the power of the red light guy and figure grumble and seek just have the most red light power in them which is why the crucify thing turns red and does not crucify them
I personally believe that because there’s so much of the flesh that there are multiple figures and they can not leave their own rooms because of the guiding light trapping them in their own rooms but this is not very likely because all the figure encounters use the same figure model
What would happen if Seek got his hands on The Figure? (What I mean is if Seek covered The Figure with his black goop like he did to the Queen Grumble)
@@wotwfanThere is no ball of goop the crush them though, and it’s seen seek can infect them, so it would make more sense for the queen to have been infected
my theory is multiple theories mixed together pretty much, a lot is from daepicbananaman8635 but some is by me figure walks from door 50 to 100 by going to the door on the left of room 49, the door is opened by red light, and it leads him outside of the hotel. red light opens up another one of the blocked off doors before he gets to the greenhouse, and then figure makes his way to room 100, goes to the spot hes in when you enter the room, then room 100 happens then he roams around and stuff and all that.... after you finish putting every breaker switch in, figure falls out of the window, into the outside, and then breaks open the wall into that one room that figure chases you down from after completing the puzzle. then he breaks open the door, chases you down, jumps on the elevator and stuff, then falls into the mines. he then runs into the pipe that he falls from at the first figure encounter of floor 2, and roams around a bunch. then red light opens more doors for him and stuff to get to the 2nd encounter and 3rd encounter blah blah blah
Maybe Figure is just so familiar with the hotel and the mines that he knows some secret passages that are beyond the players knowledge, cause how would they know to jump out of the window while on fire and get to the small electrical room in the door 100 cutscene?
Figure doesn't jump out of the window KNOWINGLY, it's like a panic thing where you don't know what to do so you do the stupidest things that come to mind
@@Sofa2o1o-YT maybe but even if thats true he still knew how to get back into the building make his way to the elevator to jump on top of it all before you can make it down to the mines.
@@kevinashton9049 what makes you think he knows the exterior of the hotel? and he only jumped down ON the elevator because there was nothing to stop him from doing so AND because he was enraged at the fact that we got away.
@@Sofa2o1o-YT well after figure either A. Like OP said jumped out of the window or B. Like you said accidently jumped because he didnt know what he was doing while on fire. I agree with the OP that he must know his way around the hotel inside and out somehow because like I alluded to in my comment after the fire was put out either by figure himself rolling around or by the rain he still had to somehow find his way back into the hotel and to the elevator where we were and all in the small amount of time it took the player to run from the window he jumped out of to the elevator which is what 10 seconda or so. And with him being blind I find it hard to believe he doesnt know the hotel inside and out like the back of his hand meaning hes gotta know any or all shortcuts there could be. And before anyone tries to say he has good hearing and followed the noise. he was on fire and fell out of a window who knows how far down in a thunder storm his hearing aint that good.
I have my own theory on this. Firstly i dont think mischievous light is against the player as she does have positive modifiers, can control the lights which means she's the one alerting us to rush and blitz, and the red crucifix indicates how the crucifix is failing and mischievous light is trying to warn us. Second, figure is completely blind and judging by how she cant locate the player even when theyre right next to her makes me think she cant use echolocation, meaning she would have to memorize the rooms she passes through, this would mean the ruined rooms are rooms she had to memorize through trial and error or perhaps an altercation with another entity. Since she memorized the hotel layout she likely just knows a faster way to door 100. Thirdly, in the mines i havent seen any ruined rooms so i guess that she doesnt originate from there, and in all 3 instances of her encounter she falls down from a pipe vent in the celing. So she uses the vent pipes to get around and likely falls down when she hears the door opening. Its possible she is always following the player as close she can and these 3 instances just happen to be the only times she can intersect their path. Fourthly, the meat around the hotel and figure rooms is likely just her stockpiled food as she does need to eat, evidenced by her eating gloombats. So she was in that small closet because she was eating her food and she actually came from the blocked hallway to the left of the elevator, likely blocking it to stop the player from escaping her. This would explain how she got there without opening the biglever door. In summary figure just knew a faster way to door 100 because she stockpiles food there and in the mines she follows the player through the vents until she can intercept their path. Also mischievous light is'nt against the player but rather thinks that the player deserves rewards for beating her challenges which is why we get increased amounts of knobs from modifiers.
My headcanon is that figure traverses between rooms by going through the unusable doors the player doesnt (handle-less doors, broken doors, barracaded doors). figure can probably just open the door 48 door and then use the unusable doors from there (the reason the player doesn’t is because they just want to progress) and in the mines, it’s not a big stretch that guiding light stops protecting the doorways after we’re far ahead of them, letting figure, again, use the unusable doors.
The red light is the modifier light. curious light refers to her if you die to blitz. also there is a modifier symbol on the door 60 painting “starlight “
In all of the figure encounters in the mines, he drops down from the ceiling. This makes me believe that he just uses his strong arms to climb around. Also, there are some rooms where there are straight up holes in the walls. So figure could have just broken through the walls in door 50 to get to 100. Hell, maybe he broke through the locked door in room 50, making it to door 52, which is why jeff, bob, and el goblino are in the mines by the time we get to 52. (Sorry if this doesnt make sense its 2 am rn lollll)
My theory is after 50 he finds some different way out of the library and somehow wanders into 100, like how he always falls through vents in floor 2, he just manages to wander in front of us as he has more access to other and possibly shorter ways
I just realised guidng lights symbol is a Moon, Curious Lights symbol is a star, and mischievous lights symbol is a galaxy. Thats why the painting featuring thems named "Spacetime"
I think figure is like a hive mind that can make his current body lose shape and become a pile of meat so he can use another pile of meat to build himself up again, I also think that lets figure make a mental map of whatever room the meat is in and that could explain why he knows where to wander around when not chasing the player during door 100 and not walk into a wall or something. But this doesn't explain why he doesn't attack us in some of the rooms with meat in them and he could just be using his arms to feel around door 100. (Not really a theory but I think that in floor 3 figure will make all the meat piles come together to form a massive figure or multiple figures.)
I think it's as simple as there being multiple figures, just like there are multiple grumbles, screeches, eyes, and so on. There is only one Seek, because in the Hotel he can move through the floorboards. In the Mines, he can travel through the pipes. Figure doesn't have any real way to travel or leave his specific room, so I think there are multiple of them. These figures could have been trapped in their specific rooms after having caused too much chaos throughout the hotel, which would explain the piles of their flesh lying around the hotel.
I have a theory in the 'spacetime' painting, you can see the three architects guiding, curious and the modifier lights. But, in the background you can see, darkness implying Void is one of the celestials but guiding lights crucifix cymbal says, 'one of the three architects marked by celestials assists you.' implying there are at least two or more. Also in the 'spacetime' painting there is also glitches iimplying that Glitch is the other celestial
I think, like seek, figure uses his instances (the flesh piles) to travel, seeing as all rooms with it in has the meat in. The exception is the library, which I think is the spot figure likes to stay in the most as libraries are meant to be quiet. That would also suggest why figure is more aggressive in floor 2, as it is stuck in the mines and cant go back to the library.
Since he maybe was born from meat, there’s multiple figures? I mean… what’s stopping their makers to make more than one? Since he’s locked by guiding light in all of the mines rooms
He pops out from a vent after guiding light. Bro why is no one talking about how figure falls to the bottom of the hotel hits the ground is perfectly fine and gets back up in like 1 minute?
@@Lxght548 how should I know? He falls to the bottom of the hotel and gets back up in a minute but it takes us like an hour or smth. He probably got to door 100 before us and the way he got in closed off or smth from trash and stuff
I have some theories. #1 so you know how screech and giggle look alike and seek probably posses giggles to make screeches and you know how seek kills a queen grumble at the end of floor 2. Well personally I think a boss for floor 3 will be a giant screech (possessed queen grumble). #2 Guiding light is evil. HEAR ME OUT so in door 50 guiding light breaks a lamp to lead figure away but in door 100 guiding light does nothing and let’s figure break the elevator and possibly lets us die but we don’t. That’s all my theories for now I’ll make more later
What I like to think of a theory is similar to the teleportation theory, but figure isn’t just one entity, he is all the mass of meat scattered around the hotel and mines and mischievous light just gives sentience to the pile of meat he chooses, therefore making a figure
there are only a couple of reasons that make sense: 1. there are multiple figures 2. he climbs through air vents (he pops out of air vents in most of your mines encounters) 3. a light (prolly red light) teleported him 4. the meat teleport theory you mentioned in this video, which is very odd but makes a lot of sense
The idea of Figure using the mounds of flesh to teleport is a pretty cool theory all things considered, reminds me of Sammy Lawrence using the holes in the walls in Bendy and The Ink Machine to get around
I have a theory: what if there are multiple figures and he had siblings. One in the library, one at door 100, and one at door 120 and 170. I do think that the figure from door 100 sent out a signal to other figures in the area to search the hotel from all the loud noise. However, only one finds their way to the mines and the other either get lost or just go back. The other 2 figures on the mines have probably been there, guarding the mines which would explain all the meat piles, but they mainly are in those 4 rooms guarding the floors. That also explains the meat piles on floor 1 as well. Or the figures are just hanging out until the curious light who created them warns them that a player has entered the hotel. That’s when they really lock in.
maybe in the mines + update (if there will be one) we might be able to see a new dimension of the mischevous light. Like how curious light had rooms, and maybe mischevous light would have something that looks a little bit like the caves, maybe it could even have a reference to pressure?
What i think: assuming figure does not teleport, the way that i think figure could get from room 50 to 100 so fast requires some information given in door 100, in door 100 we see figure jump out a window and survive, managing to climb back in through a different window. Now if we look in door 50, there is 1 massive window in front of the desk, I presume that once we leave, figure jumps out the window and tries to listen to us to figure out where we are, and it follows us all the way to room 100.
he actually did off camera mining for diamonds and it conveniently ended up at door 100, 120 - 124 (depends on run) and 175, i mean after all, half i the doors stated are in the mines...
Well I have NO idea about how figure makes his way to other rooms and such. But if we follow my theory about figure and grumble being curious light entities (Such as how seek is the entity of the red light.) curious light could help figure transform like seek. This theory may also lead into there being a THIRD guiding light entity that may also have the properties of seek and figure. But we should still seek other theories to find the TRUE version of door's story.
But yeah the red light doing that is a viable theory and my theory has a problem (Mainly why the hell would curious light wanna kill us?) but this theory could still be true.
I think the most likely option is actually BOTH. As figure was most likely born by curious light (Like how seek was born by the red light) he could have the same properties. And the red light may just be helping figure that little bit more. But I have no idea. You could make a follow up video where you try to make a theory on this. All I ask is you just credit me for this theory. Thats all I ask. Nothing else. You can debunk it, prove it, whatever. But if you use it crediting would be really nice. Thats all I have to say. Have fun theorizing my friend!
I feel like maybe red light actually is the way to go, as someone else said in this comment section, the other moments we see red lights are when Seek shows up, exactly in the rooms that Seek is and also in door 200 the red light tell us where the Seek hands will hit, maybe that red light is just telling the hands where to go on door 200, and maybe because of red light, Guiding light can't do much on Seek rooms, like for example closing the door right before seek goes through it, maybe its just that where Seek is, that is the red lights domain, so there guiding light isn't as strong, maybe the red light even controls the door 50 and 100, thats why you can't use a crucifix against Figure, because its red lights domain so Guiding light isn't as strong, and the same with door 150 and 200, i feel like this could be a great theory, i think that actually red light being the reason of Guiding light not being able to destroy Figure on door 50 and 100 is a really good theory.
My theory is that the courtyard's basement's secret room is another monster hunter's. This explains why figure exists, since it is a homuculus it needs a creator, which is the monster hunter. And since the basement was seen destroyed by Snare, you can infer that Snare came from deep and took the human. Trying to follow the creator, It destroys everything near the creator's HQ in an attempt to find him, room 50+. Seeing that his creator isn't there, he ventures deeper into the mines. He takes the elevator down but since the hotel is so old and broken with his weight, the elevator crashes, being the second elevator. He climbs out and ventures in to find his creator. He meets Seek and knows that he will lose so he stays in Room 110-130. You may wonder why Figure doesn't need food, it is because he is a homunculus, a supernatural creature that doesn't need food. He waits for Seek to leave and seeing he left, he found his way to the dam and climbed up. Still trying to find his creator, he returns to the Hotel and feels the presence of another human, you. Following you in hopes to find his creator, this is where he is now.
I think it’s possible that there’s multiple figures appearing from the meat piles. Explaining how it gets everywhere so fast and gets back in the vent in floor 2 after dropping out of it twice. You aren’t facing the same figure, but rather different instances of the same entity.
3:26 I have my bit of evidence that this light character is bad, but I don't know if it holds up or not. So basically when you're in the seek chase, you have guiding light who shows you the right paths in the mines, however if you look at seek, you'll notice seek has a red light always Infront of himself. I just think it's a strange and has more meaning, but y'all let me know:)
this is interesting, my theory is that figure just moves around the locations by himself, but through shortcuts. el goblino said figure ones came into door 52, and the devs confirmed figure broke those rooms after 50. i think figure and most likey other entities can just move around the hotel through every door, while the player is the only one forced to go throug the numbered doors limbo
Figure might be going through vents because in the mines you can always see knocked down vents, and in the first room that you encounter figure in the vines you can see him dropping out of a vent.
This will probably sound dumb, but there could be multiple figures, born from the piles of meat around everywhere. The original figure, the one in the library, made all of it on his journey, which could also explain how figure got to the electrical and all the other places where we find him, it's not the same one. But this isn't very serious, I don't know.
I believe the theory that there are multiple figures, because in the library we cant see any flesh piles for figure to dismantle himself onto so i think that the flesh piles are dead figures and sleeping figures, so in door 100 we can see the flseh pile from where he comes from could just be 2 diferent figures sleeping together just like some animals do to keep warm when it is cold, and the figure in the library is just stuck there forever is possible, and also all the figures have diferent personalities, like the one that scratched the walls would be the "prankster", the one that does not want to wake up is the "shy" one and etc. Edit: I just now remembered that there are meat patches behind the ending castle so i think that figure will be one an entity that appears on a very early door like door 5 and could be a mini boss and in the end of floor 3 (door 300) there could be a giant figure which forms of all of the dead figures
I seriously hope mischievous light gets more depth in floor 3, I’d feel like he’d tell you to do the opposite of a good thing and shine his red light at only bad things.
the red light would also explain why seek has obtained a red light, i have a theory for seek even though it has nothing to do with figure. red light carries him to the minecart chase unharmed when your in there, and red light boosts seek to make sure he catches up.
Who said that there was only one figure. What it there are multiple? That would make the different apparent locations of figure to make more sense; the figure is just actually a bunch of different figures occupying their own territory, whether that be in the library, electrical room, or the mines. On the death screen it says "you died to figure" which seems like an implication to a singular entity. But when we see that the same type of message is displayed for entities like hide where it says "you died to hide", (there is clearly multiple hides because each door with hide in it makes a sound), it is safe to assume that the death screens are referring to the entire species of that entity, rather than that specific instance. Using this hypothesis, we can assume that figure does not teleport or being reborn by the flesh in other rooms. Even if figure is born from these flesh piles, that still doesn't mean there can't be multiple figures.
1:41 is word honestly think that you’re kind of wrong in the hotel. He takes secret paths somewhere out of the library. He breaks out of it and then goes back to like a locked off door, breaks it off and then goes that way to door 100 and in the mind to uses those, you know how seek dots out from his pipes. I think he’s pretty. I think figure is pretty much just doing that except just breaking through them.
what about void? he saves you from being left behind, but with a request of damage, and some entities cant be damage, this is most likely due to the red light or what i think it should be called, bloodlight (i am not a dev this is just a name guess) so if that is what it means, thats how figure gets to door 50 to 100, smart theory right? Edit: it can also be glitch, he saves you from weird bugs, and was the original void. and glitch or void cant be crucified even with bloodlight (red light) help, so what about that?
I thought we had encountered the third light in the seek chases, I mean there is red light everywhere throughout the chases, rocks and bookshelf’s fall in our path as we try to escape from seek
I think death light is constantly throughout the game. We see it blocking the rooms when it has modifiers, we see it through seek chase, we see it with the cross, and in my personal theory, since death light wants us dead, when you die with modifiers that kill you, it shows a glimpse of red but doesent speak, so it doesent provide any usefull information.
We didn’t directly encounter it though, like with guiding light we know it exists and we see it a lot, with curious light again we know it exists and we seen it+it has an item of its own just like guiding light but theres no proof of red light around seek being mischievous light as theres no sparkles or anything its just a red light which could just something that seek emits
okay i have an epic theory: there are multiple figure entities, one in door 50, one in door 100, and the others in floor 2, it would explain how figure is in one place, and another
This actually makes sense, there doesn’t appear to be an upper floor to the hotel and Figure got from the library to behind a closed one-way door in the electrical room.
I feel like Figure probably either used the outer Hotel or the meat in order to access door 100. He fell out of a window in 100, and managed to navigate his way through another window and back into door 100, so using the windows to leave door 50 and break into 100 wouldn't be out of the question. We do not hear Figure break the window when re-accessing door 100, meaning that it could've already been broken by him.
My theory as to how figure moved from the library to the electrical room could link with the rooms. So as we know, there's a specific room after the shop which has been completely ruined; this has stated to be figure's doing, meaning that it's not impossible that figure roams the hotel and had been trapped in the library by El Goblino, Bob and Jeff after invading the shop room that they were in; to put extra precautions, they added a lock so figure wouldn't be able to get out. Since you, the player, had opened the lock to get out of the library, figure could've potentially escaped the library. I believe that you the player, stumbles upon the rooms, which after unlocking, investigates. However, while you face the threats of A-60, A-90 and A-120, I believe figure could've attempted to and successfully get out of the library, while terrorizing the 3 who trapped him in the first place once again, leading them to evacuate to the mines, hence how you see them in door 152. Seeing how long it usually takes for even the fastest player to get past the rooms (Let's just say A-1000 for reference), Figure would've already gotten to the Electrical Room by the time you escape the Rooms. I also theorize that instead of actually going through the rooms as a physical state, it's some sort of nightmare for you to conquer, also explaining why you end up in the hospital room after completing the rooms, meaning something/someone, probably Guiding Light, might have moved you to a hospital bed, probably after Figure had already gone past the hospital room due to the knowledge of his blindness and extraordinary sense of hearing (thanks to how the video explains that the 3 Lights can move or change physical objects, this part of the theory is possible). Upon you reaching the Electrical room, Figure would've already been there for quite a while, especially thanks to the knowledge that wherever meat piles are, is where Figure has been around (so it's not like Figure can just stay somewhere for like a minute and there's tons of meat piles), hence how by the time you get from the Library to the Electrical Room. As for how Figure gets from Door 120-130 to Door 180, I believe that the same thing that applied to Floor 1 applies here too, as while you were dealing with some other threat (in this case now, the Grumbles), Figure might have ventured through the remains of the first seek chase and possibly went through the door that you tried to reach, but ultimately fell down into a minecart. This claim however, has a lot less evidence to back-up the claim, since there has been nothing to show or prove what is behind the door; what I believe though, is that the door was meant to be the intended route you were meant to take to get to the rest of the doors (skipping doors 146-151), possibly leading Figure to door 152 through the hole that we see with the vine. However, if what I said in Floor 1 is true, then this claim would be severely against what I said about El Goblino, Bob and Jeff evacuating (either that or they were elsewhere while Figure had gone through the room, such as the Ladder area that the player escapes from Grumble with, coming back to where Figure had already slid past. With how Figure would at all fit into Floor 3, I don't really know, let alone how it would even get there; all we can really do is wait to see what happens with the release of Floor 3. Let me know if I made any mistakes with this theory (there's probably got to be some, since I thought of this on the spot)
I believe it's similar except to prevent the existence of multiple Figure he is able to transfer is consciousness between meat piles and reanimate them into a body, which explains the meat piles left everywhere
I know this is probably wrong but i truly believe its not just "the figure." I believe there is multiple which pretty much solves all of the issues, especially the first figure encounter of the mines
i didnt watch the full video but my theory is that when we beat door 50 figure breaks the large window and climb to door 100 but this is unlikely because we dont see any broken windows in door 100 and heres the one for floor 2: when we beat floor 2 figure is shown breaking our elevator and jumping backwards there are 2 options figure digs throu the dirt or there is a descent to the mines and first time we see figure in floor 2 is when figure falls down a pipe maybe figure was trying to climb to the higher level to reach the player but that doesnt explain hot we see figure around door 20 when we see figure for the second time in floor 2 that means figure has the ability to teleport or is getting teleported by something
I think that figure is kinda like seek, a sentient blob of meat like how seek is a sentient blob of goop. I think this makes sense because the piles of meat can’t just come from figure, unless he can make more of his flesh. I also think this makes sense because the 2 main entities, seek and figure should both follow a similar theme, giant masses of sentient blobs. Also usually when figure kills you he turns your body into meat, or at least used to, so I think he can just form himself out of the piles like how seek can reconstruct into his humanoid form
I say there is more than 1 figure. 🔥 I know I might not make sense but there are multiple Giggles, Grumbles, Screeches and Snares (Also according to cheddar's theory, snare is a part of a long vine). Heck, there might even be multiple dupes. Though multiple dupes sounds more unlikely since in addition to Floor 2, because we see a tunnel of some sort going up after entering a crucified dupe door.
i really dont think the third light character is interfering, because if it was, why dont just move the figure to the player and make them kill it? like, if the third light character is able to move figure from the library to the electrical room, then it should also know the location of the player. for that reason i think that the flesh teleportation theory is much more likely than ur own theory
I think seek helps figure to teleport with seek goo so sometimes he cant teleport figure to doors 100 and lets figure destroy things and when he does then he lets figure with his smart mind and plan to make
And i got more i think the meat on the floor makes the spots where figure is so he does not forget and i think that the meat is kind of like figure goo that he feels always when he is there or he always knows also i think this is the more of the red ligth job or seeks and i dont know what to say
I think figure is allied with seek partially due to a previous relationship or something like that and figure is using seeks goo to traverse, and the pile of flesh in the closet is simply a blood stained seek puddle, and also figure is a she in jy opinion because i think itd be cool if the previously mentioned prior relationship was a mutual crush during some sort of baby or before turning phase, slightly continuing into adulthood
My theory: There are multiple Figures. Yep, you read the text right, I said there are multiple Figures. Because Figure appears is rooms with meat, maybe Figure gets formed with these piles of meat. In door 100, there is a pile of meat where Figure comes from, so Figure might have been formed from these. Maybe Red Light is making more Figures, using the bones from people who die to keep Figure together, and maybe the Figure in the Library is the original Figure, as there is no piles of meat in there. Maybe that's the reason why the piles are so small, as they were used to create another Figure. Maybe Figure could be disassembled like Legos, and have the piles be taken to some other place to create a Figure there. That could be why we see some piles have meat that look like Figure's arms and legs. This could be why we see piles of meat in rooms where the Figure has gone, confirmed by the devs. Figure might have been taken apart in there to create a new one. Maybe the one in the Library isn't the original, but the Figure there doesn't need meat in that room, because there is meat in other rooms from disassembled Figure's. That could be why we see rooms with piles of meat AFTER door 50! And El Goblino states that "That red meat dude came through here," or something similar to that. Maybe that's why Guiding Light shuts the door on Figure, to prevent Red Light from creating Figures at rooms like 80-90. The reason why we see so many meat piles in Figure rooms is because, Figure was created from them. Atleast, that's my theory. Edit: This could also explain why Figure takes so long to jump onto the elevator at door 100. Maybe the Red Light pushed or forced Figure to go down, and why Figure starts attacking the elevator, as to attempt to fight the Red Light.
imo i think figure might be able to use those meat piles as like.. idk, sensory stuff? Like a meat pile detects something, and the figure would sense that, leading it to the rooms that it resides in. Also feels a lot more realistic than the other two, though i was stuck between this theory and the teleporting theory. Honestly it could be both, or none. Who knows
theory: “hey uh seek can u pls bring me to somewhere else” “you have asked me this time and time again! no.” “please. we cant let this person get away” “..fine” wait but actually the red right theory is cool
Figure could also be moving through ventilation thingies since he falls out of a pipe each time in the mines, and door 100 also has a lot of fans and things like that
I’m pretty sure he just breaks through walls and goes through different paths that we can’t access, and we never see it because figure can’t open the real doors so he never enters main rooms
In my theory, there is three figure in the hotel, one at the library, one at door 100 and one that chases you to the elevator. So, in the mines, one figure that fell from the ceiling is the figure that chases us while the other two are new. Conclusion: There is *five* figure in total.
so another thing about red/mischievious light is that they also appeared in the tower heroes collab during a weekly (however i don't think there is any recorded footage of it)
I think, there are multiple figures in the hotel and the mines, as you explained in the gloombat video how figure is a natural animal predator, there must be multiple figures that maybe GROW out of flesh piles to actually be a lifeform. (Pls comment here😂)
Sometimes, I wonder if the piles of flesh in Floor 1, and I kept imagining the Figure being double or even triple in size due to the flesh all around Floor 1 Maybe the Figure is brute-forcing his way into every possible location, with the only evidence of this implied behaviour being his ability to break out of the Crucifix and the Clock (which Enrages the Figure)
I dont think Figure could teleport because as far as we know he has never been to the mines so with the theory of him teleporting he would have to have been here before, It does make sense that the red light has been guiding figure and the lights seem to know a lot about there surroundings so it would make sense that red light knows a few shortcuts.
I think bc figure gets around through vents in floor 2 on floor 1 he would use somewhat figure sized vents that either the red light makes or just are there for some reason and that's what the flesh are the flesh is covering vents bc the red light docent want us to know that's there vents and each time the red lights covers them with meat and in floor 2 figure used this vents and in the first room there was another vent on the wall and figure used that to get there bc in the second room we see figure got in from a vent on the ceiling. I hope you think this is likely. even tho there is still no evedense to back this up...
4:24 we do see the red light moving an entity in the game, and that is seek. although seek doesn't actually have a humanoid body, the red i think is the one making seek look like a humanoid, as well as moving him around. i know, its not figure, but we do see the red light moving entities around the game.
Hey, this theory is really interesting. How you can explain that when we use crucifix on Figure, crucifix from Blue turns into Red and that can confirm the red light teleporting him to give us an obstacle, and it can confirm that this light is against us.
My theory is that he doesn’t teleport. There are multiple figures. Which is why the flesh piles are everywhere. Those flesh piles are “failed” figures, as I believe figure is a man-made creature. There are many figures around the hotel, which would explain the end cutscene in floor 1.
I theorize that they are indeed multiple figures, that is wherever rotting meat is formed, figure , a supposed homunculus by game theory, manifest from rotting meat piles. Why this happens is unknown but perhaps it’s like virus or fungus in the air that when in contact with rotting meat will grow into a figure, after all wherever there is figure there is rotten piles of meat, and the color of the meat is similar to that o figure.
This makes sense i have almost the same theory
this theory seems good but why doesn't figure just escape?
However, not very sure how figure travels anywhere, it could be possible that figure just climbed outside the window in the library and ran all the way to the electrical room.
also, there's a probability of there being multiple figures, but the name "THE figure" makes me doubt this idea.
good theory
we would say the destroyed rooms was figure but it was el goblino if u look at figures hands he doesnt have three claws to destroy that room in particular so it was el goblino that had been flippin over in rage over something although maybe theres a possibility that figure also came along recking everything making goblino afraid and stopped his wreckage to hide from figure
I think there a multiple figures, if you wanna read the full explanation then read my comment to the video.

Plus, I think the third light character can help figure teleport to these places with supernatural abilities, just like guiding light does sometimes.
Or, it could help undo the previous figure, and use its soul in another blob of flesh and bones, and form a humanoid body, just like it does with seek.
Something that may debunk your theory is door 113.
sound more true in my opinion
I believe that Figure is born from the meat that appears in the rooms they are found in (minus the library), like in room 100, where Figure comes out of a passage that has nothing but meat, and looks like they are made of meat and the bones from the meat.
Maybe Figure being born from meat has something to do with strange magic or the Mischievous Light, I don't know.
Same theory! And I think that this meat are completely destroyed corpses like by rush or something
This makes alot of sense.
probably the unnamed red light causing it
@@vitollo5866 Red light reviving Figures sounds very plausible.
Maybe he can sense when piles of meat are around and that's why he goes into rooms with meat. We don't see him teleport or become created from the meat but he has a connection to it
"The flesh that is blind approaches" -Guiding light propably
Also he most propably just tunnels out, since blind creatures thrive in dark enviroments I would not be suprrised if he can just burrow through the ground like a mole.

Figures hands are shaped like scoops
Don't forget he uses echo location like a bat which is why you can hear him constantly growling
@@FrostyBastion i heard that if you come in front of his light then he can see you for a few seconds
I have my own theory/explination/
The devs have stated that the light figure emmits from his head let's him see a few feet infront of him, but also, given the growling he constantly making, it's highly likely that The Figure uses a basic form of Echolocation. further more, we can see in floor 2, he mainly falls out of a grate on a pipe, implying he was crawling through it. figure probably heard el' goblino's knocking and started tearing up the room he was in looking for them, and there's a blocked off route at the top of door 100, as for that part I'm guessing figure took that route, knocked the boxes down, and ended up where we see him in the final cutscene.

Another few things I'd like you to debunk:
* Where even are we? Is it some dimension?
* Why are there human structure remains, like at Door 100? *There's also a lot of prop doors at Door 100, that could mean that the people before us were trying to cover something up.*
* There are many things as seen in the Floor 2 lockers, like wrenches, wires, and even clothes. Was this a diversion to redirect us made by The Architects, or were there people here trying to explore like us?
I think the mines and hotel were just normal places before seek came
One thing confirmed is that we are in a Limbo. As mentioned in his previous video about the statue
I doubt the wrenches, the wires and even the clothings have some sort of relevant. You should instead be asking that why is there an oddly placed garden in the mines.
@@abahtani1371 its kinda in the surface and plus u confirmed its limbo which is supposd to represent reality so there would be gardens in mines
@@blueflames4612 Yes, but it's an odd place for a garden either way. I think it is related to snares only being one entity
That would make sense.
The red light it also all over the place during the Seek chases, which might be why Guiding Light only seals the door at the end of the chase as the Red light has control over the area so Guiding Light doesn't haveas much power in it.
In the Tower Heroes x Doors event, there was a thing where the Red Light guides you, playing as Figure, to beat intruders.
Figure is still going to explode seek's hand using the freaking meat explode and figure is made by meat
That's a seek thing that's not the red light cheddar has been talking about
Cheddar, have you ever thought of there being multiple figures? That is totally possible and there wont be any sorts of problems, how do we know its the same figure? the misch(red) light theory needs there to be red light at the start of figure for it to work, but this one actually makes sense
i have a theory:
figure can dig tunnels under the hotel and uses the flesh to cover the tunnel holes which would explain why there are no flesh in the library as figure hasn't dug any tunnel yet same thing with the mines as the 2nd and 3rd encounter with figure all have flesh in them but i can't explain why the first encounter has flesh
this is ny theory
also i think the red light entity might be the one guiding figure through the tunnel digging or he is following the sound of the player's steps as he is digging to follow us
redibles actually once said that figure gets to the electrical room by breaking down the broken/unopenable doors, taking an alternate path than the one the player takes. i think this would make more sense in combination with the red light idea, with the red light possibly doing things to create noise in order to lure figure towards the players' destinations (as figure is blind, after all)
wait this could be the unopenable door at door 49 right?
@@the_real_aarush yeah i think so, logically it's either that or figure broke through jeff's shop after you leave, but i'd say its probably not through jeff's shop because of guiding light sealing door 51 shut
@@the_cat_the_cat yeah and you could say that the red light closes and reopens the doors that we can't go thru but figure can (although you can say figure is strong enough to break the door)
It also definitely makes sense that guiding light boards up these doors to keep figure from running into us
Although I like these two theories, there is a lot of evidence to prove that they are false. Here is my explanation…
We know that the modifiers are the third architect, this can be confirmed by the ‘Spacetime’ painting only present at the entrance to The Rooms.

Also Curious Light can see. Figure can’t.
You can’t role play someone properly if you don’t have the same advantages.
Furthermore, *Curious Light was trapped this whole time until we beat the Backdoor.*
Who ever made that theory needs to have their internet taken away
@@ReeeMonke EXACTLY
Also the figure meat teleportation theory might be true. If Lsplash in floor 3 brings back figure, figure should be able to dive into meat piles and come outta nowhere. His meat piles also should detect him the there is a player near by one so he jumps into a meat pile and teleports to the one next to you.
Figure could also be walking through a wall somewhere because in the hotel, we can hear el goblino in the walls knocking.
They pretty much confirmed hes going to be in floor 3
W-what?
I can't tell if this is a suggestion to the game, or what you actually think.
@@Squid5671 in a twitter post, one of the devs shared a clip of them testing figure's mechanics while stating they were playtesting floor 3. Also, there are meat piles outside the castle.
@@Squid5671 this is just ways to prove that the other theory’s could be correct
El Goblino gets a kick out of startling people. I doubt he’s fighting with Figure.
My explanation is that maybe a different figure it's an animal it's a species but not in Monsters so by that logic it can reproduce
The last half of your theory is a little weird but the first half makes complete sense and might actually be true
I have a mini theory; I think figure is related to curious light
I only have two evidence to prove that:
1. Wherever curious light is, Hide is not (Rooms and Backdoor) and wherever figure is Hide isn’t (I don’t know if Hide is in the figure rooms in the mines)
2.Figure has a yellow light, at first this isn’t a problem, but figure is blind so why does he have a light, a yellow one no less.
Guiding light also seems to dance around figures name which isn’t evidence in itself but it’s something.
I have nothing concrete but I do think while The modifier light has seek(due to the red light he emits in the fights and that he likely has a relation in hide due to names and I think hide is an agent of The modifier light because of its function and appearance) Curious Light had figure because we are about as clueless about the morality of the both of them
Hide is in the figure mines rooms.
@@uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhidk oh
I have been hearing a lot about this theory lately that each light character has an entity of its own not sure if it's the way that the devs will lead into but pretty fun to think about
And adding to what you said hide itself is also red and yeah it functions very similar to how modifiers would function by making game harder
And even tho figure rooms in the mines does contain hide in them but keep mind both figure and hide weren't mean to be there so ig it still makes sense as hide doesn't still appear around figure in the hotel
Anyway here are somethings I like to contribute if figure is a curious light entity it would make sense since it's blind and would probably be curious about its surroundings
And El goblino also has glowing yellow eyes which could suggest it's a C Light related entity and since they both give us major hints about lore I think it's safe to assume
And another thing does that mean that halt is related to Guiding light?? Since it's the only entity with glowing blue aura and he also helps us by warning us to turn around and not be in its way (assuming if the turn around messages aren't given to us by G light)
And my final contribution
It's interesting that all of the entities that emits light similar to light characters are all supernatural entities not like actual creatures/animals like Giggles, gloombats,Timothy,Jeff
@@samuelsetzco6201
I don't really like theorizing based on nothing but I really like this new theory of each light having its own creations/entities so I would say that maybe halt was supposed to be a guardian of some sort or maybe a guide if you will that might be why it guides us in its encounter telling us when to turn back(but those messages are probably from guiding light and not halt) maybe guiding light created halt to guard/guide us from entities but it got corrupted by something/someone?
Or simply halt confuses us for some kind of entity and that's why it kills us
Or maybe that's the nature of halt even though guiding light created to help us if it touches us we die for some reason but yeah it would be weird if guiding light created an entity to kill us
Kinda unrelated to the question but I do wonder how the figure eats. It doesn’t seem capable of biting or chewing, and it also doesn’t seem to have a throat. There’s always the possibility that the figure doesn’t need to eat, but in its jumpscare, it shoves the player into its mouth. Either way, good video, cheddarballs!
Figure also eats the gloombats if one comes near it
it could be that it spins its teeth around to shred the food and similarly to venus fly traps and other similar plants that dissolve their prey with acids to "absorb" the food
this would make more sense as then the teeth shred down larger prey, the shreds get dissolved and he absorbs the food
it must be extremely fast at shredding, dissolving and absorbing its prey since it, well, doesnt show any parts of the body if you are playing multiplayer
well, about the throat one, 3d modeler which made Figure’s model didn’t make throat for it, cuz it would be complicated.
@@folkzzing figure also eats gloombats
My theory is that the light entities can't interact with a dimension that they don't own so only guiding light can control the main floors and only curious light can control the subfloors. The modifier runs are like parralel universes to the main floor but the red unnamed light controls them. Thats why your screen goes red when you die in a modifier run. The red entity isn't responsible for stopping the crucifix on boss entities but instead its just that those specific entities just have enough strength to break out. Like seek, for example, is extremely powerful. Figure has some insane durability as well being able to survive a fire with ease. Grumble is just stupidly large and probably just as strong
the way you explained why crucifix doesn’t works on Seek, Figure and Grumbles is absolutely perfect and the explanation for the unknown Red Light
or maybe each entity has a fraction of the power of the red light guy and figure grumble and seek just have the most red light power in them which is why the crucify thing turns red and does not crucify them
No because we the player help curious light in escaping the rooms and the backdoor and into the hotel
0:14 you actually do a great job
I personally believe that because there’s so much of the flesh that there are multiple figures and they can not leave their own rooms because of the guiding light trapping them in their own rooms but this is not very likely because all the figure encounters use the same figure model
What would happen if Seek got his hands on The Figure? (What I mean is if Seek covered The Figure with his black goop like he did to the Queen Grumble)
I’m sure he didn’t infect the Queen grumble, I think he crushed grumble with a giant ball of goop
That would be pretty op
bro figure will be dead 😭
@@wotwfanThere is no ball of goop the crush them though, and it’s seen seek can infect them, so it would make more sense for the queen to have been infected
@fabrielelkins7136 if that did happen, we would be literally screwed over so hard
Some people got mad at me because I requested a modifier idea that makes screech teleport.
They said “Buff screech? Are you in your mind?”
my theory is multiple theories mixed together pretty much, a lot is from daepicbananaman8635 but some is by me
figure walks from door 50 to 100 by going to the door on the left of room 49, the door is opened by red light, and it leads him outside of the hotel. red light opens up another one of the blocked off doors before he gets to the greenhouse, and then figure makes his way to room 100, goes to the spot hes in when you enter the room, then room 100 happens
then he roams around and stuff and all that.... after you finish putting every breaker switch in, figure falls out of the window, into the outside, and then breaks open the wall into that one room that figure chases you down from after completing the puzzle. then he breaks open the door, chases you down, jumps on the elevator and stuff, then falls into the mines.
he then runs into the pipe that he falls from at the first figure encounter of floor 2, and roams around a bunch. then red light opens more doors for him and stuff to get to the 2nd encounter and 3rd encounter blah blah blah
Maybe Figure is just so familiar with the hotel and the mines that he knows some secret passages that are beyond the players knowledge, cause how would they know to jump out of the window while on fire and get to the small electrical room in the door 100 cutscene?
figure big brain
"When it comes to doors lore, it is pretty hard not to yap"
This is why i love your videos,
Your commentary is honestly amazing💀
My headcanon is that figure traverses between rooms by going through the unusable doors the player doesnt (handle-less doors, broken doors, barracaded doors).
figure can probably just open the door 48 door and then use the unusable doors from there (the reason the player doesn’t is because they just want to progress) and in the mines, it’s not a big stretch that guiding light stops protecting the doorways after we’re far ahead of them, letting figure, again, use the unusable doors.
Figure can not telleport. The devs said that Figure found a door that went to door 100 before us, and that's how he got there.
proof 🐱
When did they say this? Was it more recently?
@@HungryWarden on the doors discord and it was a while ago
Now I'm imagining Figure playing doors 51-99 on his own. 😂
then how did we not see him do it I mean he ain't that fast
Cool video! I've watched a couple other videos, and you are a pretty good RUclipsr!
I just realised guidng lights symbol is a Moon, Curious Lights symbol is a star, and mischievous lights symbol is a galaxy. Thats why the painting featuring thems named "Spacetime"
Wait if guiding light helping players then maybe mischevious light helps figure to teleport?
Your like the second most underrated RUclipsr I have ever seen
I think, like seek, figure uses his instances (the flesh piles) to travel, seeing as all rooms with it in has the meat in. The exception is the library, which I think is the spot figure likes to stay in the most as libraries are meant to be quiet. That would also suggest why figure is more aggressive in floor 2, as it is stuck in the mines and cant go back to the library.
Since he maybe was born from meat, there’s multiple figures? I mean… what’s stopping their makers to make more than one? Since he’s locked by guiding light in all of the mines rooms
He pops out from a vent after guiding light. Bro why is no one talking about how figure falls to the bottom of the hotel hits the ground is perfectly fine and gets back up in like 1 minute?
that is also my theory and the theory for the big boos in floor 3
@@MonkSepthow did he get to door 100 then??
@@Lxght548 how should I know? He falls to the bottom of the hotel and gets back up in a minute but it takes us like an hour or smth. He probably got to door 100 before us and the way he got in closed off or smth from trash and stuff
I doubt there's multiple, Guiding Light always refers to Figure as 'The Figure' and constantly refer to it as one entity.
What I like to think of a theory is similar to the teleportation theory, but figure isn’t just one entity, he is all the mass of meat scattered around the hotel and mines and mischievous light just gives sentience to the pile of meat he chooses, therefore making a figure
there are only a couple of reasons that make sense:
1. there are multiple figures
2. he climbs through air vents (he pops out of air vents in most of your mines encounters)
3. a light (prolly red light) teleported him
4. the meat teleport theory you mentioned in this video, which is very odd but makes a lot of sense
Love you bro, ur vids are so good.

the red light would also explain why seek has obtained a red light,

red light carries him to the minecart chase unharmed when your in there, and red light boosts seek to make sure he catches up.
Yes, and also i think it is the red light who is knocking down chandeliers
I think death light is constantly throughout the game. We see it blocking the rooms when it has modifiers, we see it through seek chase, we see it with the cross, and in my personal theory, since death light wants us dead, when you die with modifiers that kill you, it shows a glimpse of red but doesent speak, so it doesent provide any usefull information.
We didn’t directly encounter it though, like with guiding light we know it exists and we see it a lot, with curious light again we know it exists and we seen it+it has an item of its own just like guiding light but theres no proof of red light around seek being mischievous light as theres no sparkles or anything its just a red light which could just something that seek emits
which could just be something*
okay i have an epic theory: there are multiple figure entities, one in door 50, one in door 100, and the others in floor 2, it would explain how figure is in one place, and another
This actually makes sense, there doesn’t appear to be an upper floor to the hotel and Figure got from the library to behind a closed one-way door in the electrical room.
I know this is probably wrong but i truly believe its not just "the figure." I believe there is multiple which pretty much solves all of the issues, especially the first figure encounter of the mines
i didnt watch the full video but my theory is that when we beat door 50 figure breaks the large window and climb to door 100 but this is unlikely because we dont see any broken windows in door 100
and heres the one for floor 2: when we beat floor 2 figure is shown breaking our elevator and jumping backwards there are 2 options figure digs throu the dirt or there is a descent to the mines and first time we see figure in floor 2 is when figure falls down a pipe maybe figure was trying to climb to the higher level to reach the player but that doesnt explain hot we see figure around door 20 when we see figure for the second time in floor 2
that means figure has the ability to teleport or is getting teleported by something
I know I might not make sense but there are multiple Giggles, Grumbles, Screeches and Snares (Also according to cheddar's theory, snare is a part of a long vine).
I think seek helps figure to teleport with seek goo so sometimes he cant teleport figure to doors 100 and lets figure destroy things and when he does then he lets figure with his smart mind and plan to make
And wait there is more seek hides in the doors without numbers at door 50 so that's how he knows where figure is i think that's alot of yapping
Who knows
The mines basically proves that figure is smart. By figure actually working his way to the mines without the normal path.
malevolent light (as i call it) also appears in the seek chase where the entire room is filled with red light and knocks down furniture
theory:
“hey uh seek can u pls bring me to somewhere else”
“you have asked me this time and time again! no.”
“please. we cant let this person get away”
“..fine”
wait but actually the red right theory is cool
Figure could also be moving through ventilation thingies since he falls out of a pipe each time in the mines, and door 100 also has a lot of fans and things like that
I have a good theory, what if figure is not just one monster, but MANY of them
He probably jumped out the window of the library which is why 5-3 doord after has broken windows
(Pls comment here😂)
That would explain how figure can just SOMEHOW lay flesh piles to let a new figure grow.
Sometimes, I wonder if the piles of flesh in Floor 1, and I kept imagining the Figure being double or even triple in size due to the flesh all around Floor 1
Maybe the Figure is brute-forcing his way into every possible location, with the only evidence of this implied behaviour being his ability to break out of the Crucifix and the Clock (which Enrages the Figure)
Also, we have seen a light move entity in the form of guiding light and the crucifix because he pulls them down With the chains
Pro yapper come back with new cool theory.
The red light is the one who does modifiers, since it is apparently against the player, it would make sense why the modifiers make the game harder
I knew it. I knew it. No wonder he comes out of nowhere every time I’m in door 50.
