Helena plant lemongrass, onion and garlic, snake plant, basil and sage around. Snakes don't like those. You can probably buy them in Liberia .
You need window sealant- silicone. Ask someone to throw some DAP silicone sealant in their suitcase/barrel for you. Another suggestion, when you replacing your roof, put underlayment
