Great video as always. I think you kinda answered your own question here by saying that many of the good "tactics" games are on console and are quite old now. It's good to have one more on PC to choose from. It's just too bad with all the technical issues that make it sound like a "wait for a sale" type of game. Keep up the good work.
+Michael Jepsen Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, it seems like the golden age of turn-based tactical games has passed. 2016 seems to be a good year for the genre though, I've heard great things about Fire Emblem Fates but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Xcom 2 will probably get better with time once they patch some of the bugs and release DLC. I'd say it's definitely a "wait for a sale" type game right now. - Nathan
+TheXBladeist I'm almost positive Firaxis will release an Xcom 3. Hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes and release an amazing game this time around. -Nathan
+Wang hai Feng Thanks, I know Xcom games aren't really known for their story. It just seemed like it would be more of a focus in Xcom 2 based on previews/trailers. The main reason I was making comparisons to Final Fantasy Tactics, is I think having a solid narrative is a good way to make a game feel less repetitive. I'm really not a fan of procedurally generated stages either. -Nathan

Great review. Thanks for posting!
+Don Robin Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
I had a blast with Enemy Unkown and the Within expansion, but hey, let's hope they can iron the kinks so that if they make a 3 it can be even better.

best review. going to get the game on ps4, feel confident now.
I think you were expecting something else from xcom with the constant reference to story based tactics games but good review nonetheless.
