This is a video compilation of some Sega Dreamcast games running on 1080p hd in true widescreen (when possible).
The emulator is NullDC 1.0.4 played with an xbox360 controller, recorded with FRAPS @60fps.
Games on this video:Virtua Tennis, Vanishing point, Sonic Adventure 2, Dead or Alive 2 L.E., Snow Surfers, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2, Maken X, F355 Challenge.
With this Emulator it is possible to. recreate true 16:9 visuals thanks to its option that enables the "extra geometry" required to fill the borders of the screen. Some games works great with this option but they will show some graphical glitches on the right and left borders of the screen. That's not an emulator glitch, it is really the way DC calculated the non-visible graphic working in standard 4:3 screen ratio.
Snow Surfer only works in 4:3.
Finally note that some graphical problems are present here and there, that's beacuse the emulator is still in development but allready works really great ihmo.
Without the recording software enabled everything runs without any frame drop or sound clipping.

What I loved the most about the Dreamcast is how developers were focused on making games running @ 60fps. And when they couldn't, that's because they heavily focused on textures (Shenmue). Sometimes they could do both because the game didn't require too much resource (Soul Calibur). It's probably my favourite console of all time, or at least in my top 3.
I'm so happy to hear the Snow Surfer theme, I won't even mention DOA 2's. They bring back too many good memories.
On another note, i'm really disappointed there hasn't been a single valid Xbox emulator :/.
Dreamcast had a lot to offer. Sega's bad management killed Saturn and the Dreamcast.
Can you imagine if the Dreamcast had DVDs instead of GD-Roms? 🤯
There were three versions of DOA2; the US version, which came out in March 2000, which had few extras just a handful of costumes, the PAL version which came out in July 2000, which had quite alot more costumes and the hidden Dragon Hills chamber, and finally the Japanese version which came out September 2000, which had more costumes as well as new cutscenes, a UPS feature, a gallery, online features, and two extra stages, one of which, the massive L's Castle stage, I think was only on the DC.
I like that emulators like nulldc can help make games look better than on the dreamcast.
It is suprising of the amount of dreamcast games that still look great today

It's impossible for me to decide a single "best" DC game, anyway Skies of Arcadia will always have a special place in my heart.

Looks good in 1080p but some graphics pop in. A bit of stutter here and there on virtual tennis, vanishing point a predecessor of burnout great game but heavily relies on physics and realism for an arcade racer...Dead or Alive 2 beautiful 1080p visuals and the girl's assets...

The graphics look really bad now and days but the gamwplay is great.
Dead or Alive 2 and Jet Grind Radio don't look that bad nowadays tho.
All-in-one Gamer HD Doesn't look bad. Its just Retro looking.
