hello from south of France. Sorry as I didn't read all the comments that maybe will tell the same as me : I'm riding my bullit since April. Mostly in hard enduro, and mountain bike parks. I found limitations that are now solved. First there's an option at rockshox company, which is called Megneg chamber. I added it by myself. That's very easy. This happened to change completely the shock behaviour. well, need less tokens, which means complete course and smoothness in the positive chamber. I really hardened the end of the course. Really an amazing plus. Second : I had lots of issues with my hands in long and steeeeeeep slopes. I figured out that, this might be my old age :-D :-D and finally replaced this carbon handlebar, by an alloy anti vibration one, with sram foam grips. This changed my life. Really the carbon one is not comfortable at all. And finally, I feel like everything is perfect after I changed the most expensive part. But this is a life changer : I had sram brakes (on my S version) and replaced them by Shimano Saint. That's it !!! power, and durability. I'm nearly never tired now in long and bouncy tracks. I will in the future change cartridge in my fork... but yours is perfect. Well, hope my little upgrade review will help you. Have an incredible amazing time on baby bullit
Santa Cruz Bullit Baby! It is truly one awesome bike! It is the only Ebike I have ever owned so take take my opinion with a grain of salt. However, it does everything that I expect from it, and I can' really see any long travel Ebike being much better. I had my Bullit for a year now and I even use it when I DH with shuttle service . E-bikes even makes us even more faster on the DH! As with all bikes, it will take about 10 rides before we learn the suspension adjustments and have the cockpit dialed in, and that's about how long it took for the Bullit. As for the rattle noises, the only one that complains about the rattle are the people I ride with. I don't really notice the rattling much and it does not bother me at all. Like you, I also have a BronsonV3. Mine has a Fox36 Grip2, Fox X2, and Cascade Link, and for me even to this day, it is my favorite Park Bike for jumpy and flowy trails like those I find at Deer Valley, Snow Summit and Trestle. I don't think there is a full 27.5 bike out there that can replace my BV3 it as a park bike. I have 5 really nice mtn bikes all very different from each other, and it is nice having a variety of bikes to ride, the more the bikes the better! but if I had to pick just one bike, it will most definitely pick the Bullit.
Swop out the front with a DHF Maxxterra and enjoy +15% range and less resistance! It scares me how quick my bullit wants me to go when the going gets rough, it's a serious downhill monster 🙃
Yes 💯!! I was thinking the double down maxxgrip was overkill for the most trails I do. I really notice a big difference in rolling resistance compared to my bronson. Do you like the DHF better than the Assegai?
@@TrailDad here in the UK the terrains wet most of the time and I find the DHF more predictable and grippy. The assegai is a superb tyre but Maxxgrip is overkill.
Great review. I found my Bullit at the same place. S build in XXL, lavender. Was prepared to wait 12-15 months for the 2022 at my LBS. This thing rocks, and fits me perfectly (6'7").
Man... I’m pretty sure you flew by me climbing early yesterday morning at Lime Ridge... Nice rig! Hope you enjoy many safe rides on that thing. Maybe I’ll catch up with you next time out there on the trails.
Oh yeah that was me! Thanks bro. That's one of my local-ish trails and ride there when I only have a couple of hours. Do you have days that you usually ride?
@@TrailDad I am a weekend warrior... usually try to go Saturday or Sunday mornings. I’ve only had my bike for two months and have only been to Lime Ridge cause it’s close to home. Once I am comfortable on my bike I am anxious to explore all the trails the Bay Area has to offer.
No issues so far. Had the power button die after a month of not riding but SC replaced it under warranty. My fault though. Looks like some really good deals out there on ebikes these days
wow... 205psi - i'm 5'11 at 191+plus gear.. so maybe under 200lbs ( i don't wear a pack when i ride) and i run 2 tokens at 177psi. i may run 3 tokens but content with my shock setup.
Hi, I will get this XT build in a couple of days, where is the magnet located for the speed sensor? On the rotor or on a spoke? I want to replace the wheels and brakes. Thank you!
Nice bike bro..Is it much bigger in terms of reach & stand over height compared to your medium Bronson? The reason I asked is like you, I’ve got a 2019 medium Bronson right now & planning to buy the Bullit but I’m just a bit worried that it will too big for me as I’m only 5’5..Cheers..
I’m 5’8 and i’ve tried a large 2020 bronson frame. This bullit has same reach but steeper seat angle, about the same wheelbase as the large bronson. It might be too big for you unfortunately, although SC says the bullit medium starts at 5’5. It sucks that they don’t have a smaller size. Try to get a demo/rental and see how it feels. It will probably feel too big with the stock cockpit setup, but you can visualize if you can make it fit by getting shorter stem or a riser bar
Trail Dad I know bro.. Santa Cruz nowadays are getting bigger & longer.. My 2017 medium nomad has a reach of 425, my medium Bronson’s got 426 & now the medium Bullit has got 450 mm reach...Thanks for the advice..
hey dude, nice video! I am located in the same area, and I was wondering if you would be willing to share the trail name /location of the trail along the coast you used in this video? The one high above the coast line and highway with the EPIC views! That looks like an amazing trail! I would love to know more about it. Thanks in advance! Nevermind. I think I figured it out by watching your other videos. Please correct me if I am wrong, but that looks just like the two pines/Burnside trail right?
You got it! Then you go down old san pedro trail, thats the one along the highway and drop down to devils slide area. Have fun! Yeahbwe are blessed to have that great views in Pacifica
I used to ride those same trails. Cool. I think you might be the one who bought this bike from under me before I could hit "Buy". Haha. Seriously, I had this bike in my cart, then two minutes later it was gone. Oh well. Enjoy
Maybe coz I haven’t tried motos yet? 😂 The ebike gives me more options on when, where, how to ride. For sure its not a replacement for regular bike rides

I love my Rail 9.8 named Kong. Eeeb's are life changing... It's impressive really
That’s a great name for a beast machine 👍 Yep it’s crazy how similar but different riding an emtb compared to regular
I have a XO1-Coil build on the way. I’m so stoked!!! I can’t wait.
I’ve been looking into E-Bikes more and more, but can’t afford a second bike. Good stuff man!
Thanks bro! they're getting ridiculous now with the covid pricing for sure lol. I bet you can get a good deal on used ones though
Awesome review mi amigo! Bike looks so sick and beautiful! Thanks for sharing looking forward checking out more clips on it! 🤙🏽🤙🏽💯💯

I’m also 6’7”. What about weight limit on the Santa Cruz e bikes? I’m about 310.
@@wickedchevy9852 I’m 235, not sure about the limit. Check the SC site, or even email them.
I want one 😂 except the $$$
Ohh and Torii Gate in the background 👍

Where was this filmed? I may have missed it, but looks like Santa Cruz coast?
Two years later, have you experienced any issues with the motor? Thinking of buying one used and am curious if you’ve encountered anything

Long term review will include battery info 😂
How long did the battery last you and on what mode were you mainly using? TIA

I still do, but I used to, too.
I saw a video of a group ride you were in where you battery came out. Did you figure out why the battery came off and did you have it fixed ?
It's It's common issue with the bullit, the battery holder/catch has to be perfectly set up. 👌
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for the bike ?
Sweet bike bro. Smiles for miles. 😁
How long is the battery life for one charge?
mostly depends on the elevation and assist level. Most rides I still have 3 bars left (trail mode all the way), with around 3k feet climb
nice bike and video.
🙌🏽💯
Noice!!!
thanks dude!

Bagong taga suporta boss! Kamusta naman yung baterya from Lime ridge? 😂
I have a santa poor
e-bikes are way more fun.
Still don’t get it. Love bikes. Love motos. Don’t love these
