- What does a pulsejet-powered Long-EZ ARF look like? Well it looks like this (at least for now).
Will it fly?
That's the big question -- you'll just have to wait for part 2 to find out.
my left ear really enjoyed this
you dont know how many times I checked to see if my phones were plugged in all the way lol
I thought my headphones were broken XD
I find it rather interesting. That idea is what almost 100 years old now. V2 She can be cranky starting her up. I agree with Joshua. I think the concept is fantastic. great work.
VERY good information, thank you! I have always loved the canard designs, but never built one because I was familiar with this issue. Now I know how to solve it! Thanks again :)
thnat for the explanation, today remove the weak weld knot on the push rod linkage and replace it with MIG TYPE wire welding, and now looks more like real strong,i"ll continue with the kit building prosess and may post it when test fly it,thanks for all tips
That is one shiny head!
Let me just say this is the first RC plane that has caught my imagination and got me daydreaming about one. I have aiways admired the lines of the long easy, but aiways thought that the pusher prop didn't fit the advanced futurestic look but the pulse jet seems apropreate and the flight charactoristicsseem vary good with changes to angle of attach on the connard. hope you sell a ton of them.
Nice work making your own pulse jet!
I will be following this series thanks so much
Bruce, there is a distinct chill in my house when there's even a mention pulse jet, as most of my family was killed in London in an unlucky hit. JL
Thanks Bruce, Your infomation on the Carnard angle was very useful and have help save me a good plane. Nice to see a fellow KIWI flying the long EZ as well. I'm in Thailand though, Here you can pretty much fly any day. and Pretty much anywhere with out getting arrest, There are more than 10 official RC air field in Bangkok anyway. There are a few KIWI blokes in Bangkok flying as well :)
I have enjoyed your channel for a while and I found the one about misinformation so relevant. By now it should have filtered to your part of the world about the Drone incident at Gatwick airport, It started with a suspect drone ( two EasyJet's diverted), but by the time it worked its way around the world it was a drone crash with a BA flight ( American news ). I always respect the rules and have in the past informed the police were I will be. this sort of scar mongering is very worrying. Keep up the great work you do , Thanks John
the shinyness of his head amazes me
Would be great to see xjet do videos like this again, used to be a strong channel back in the day.
Great Video!
I look forward to it sir
To cool Id LOVE to experiment with pulse jets If only we were aloud here :(
look at that thing... my first time seeing something like this... wow...
Nice video and info in your site!!
What kind of fuel uses this jets? glow?
Regular gasoil can be used? did you know if some uses hho gas?
can This "tubes" be turbo charged with a electric ducted fan? Thanks
looks interesting thanks
Very Impressive! Liked & Subscribed (:
I have this plane. I have experienced the nasty stall you talk about. Please tell me how much positive incidence on the canard I need. I also thought about changing the main wing to less positive incidence because the canard is already epoxied in.
Is it possible to make a pulse jet with a noise suppressor such as one used on a gun Food for thought for you. :)
Hi Love ya vids. You mention that you built the pulse jet I have a good mate who is very into different engines and good with machines he has his own lathe and mill. would you be able to show us how to make one of these by any chance?? please cheers
Ps still hope to get to your field and meet you one day
Thats Awesome mate, looks like a crazy contraption, how did your heat shield go? I work with aluminium a fair bit and I know it gets really hot, very quickly and stays hot for a long time. Good work (-;
wow that hanger has floor space.
did you machine the head yourself
?
damn ur awsome ! im subscribing !
thanks for the vid
I gotta see this!!
The flight video can be seen here: Pulsejet Long-EZ now very fast!
I see, I'm playing catch up. Nice flying!! Love your videos
this thing is a micro rc v-1 flying bomb! haha, i first saw your pulsejets in the form of the gokart a few years ago, most impressive sir, how do you plan to get the fuel from the tank to the engine, some kind of pressurised tank?
can these engines have throttles because im only 15 i fly rc planes at my local club and want a jet but as you said turbines are way two expensive and i always use the throllte so could you use a throtlle on these engines ps could you acutually classifie one of these engines as a real jet
I love NZ... I wanna go home:(
how do these engines deal with alcohol as the fuel source?
Alcohol should be fine on models that normally could take gasoline. Just make sure you keep it away from moisture sources so that water cannot get into it and impede performance.
could you use diesel? it has more energy per weight does it not?
Hi Bruce! Are you selling that pulsejet? I saw in your web that you have some pulsejets to sell, I tried to contacted you, but I didn´t get a response... Hope you can help me! Good work!!
Where did you get the ARF Long-EZ?
BRUCE IS AN INCUBUS FAN???
Bruce, how can I contact you? I have a pulsejet opportunity.
Who makes that canard?
I wonder why we don't see pulsejets in use more in Ukraine. Seems like the cheapest form of propulsion, and high performance. They'd be especially cheap if you had a small metalworking shop cranking out parts. You could crank out hundreds or thousands of them very easily and cheaply.
I have seen some attempts to use them in the Ukraine conflict but although pulsejets look very simple there's a lot of detail that's not obvious so some experience is required to design, build and operate them. They would be a very good short/medium range option for low-cost ordinance. I built my own over two decades ago (and got into a lot of trouble for doing so): www.aljazeera.com/news/2003/6/5/new-zealander-builds-missile-in-backyard
@@xjet Ah you're THAT fellow! I remember reading that in the paper!
Sorry about this but your not afraid to call someone out for Dangerous or reckless flying, would you check out philly Drone Channel.
with electric fuel pumps strait into the chamber over 60% is posable
where i can buy engine like that ??
Pulsejet powered RC plains.
Why not Pulsejet powered ultralight?
you have a pulse jet as well, fac too much bro
Good good good
What’s a VNA?
Buy a Delfino from ITALY.They are the best for Pulse Jets by far
O.K
Wow lol
