The path to becoming a GIS Web Developer

The GIS industry is struggling to find GIS web developers. The required skills are a mix of cloud, web, scripting, and mapping technologies. Even though these skills are marketable, it's tough to find a way to learn this combination of technologies in a course. Hideyuki Hiruma is a GIS web developer and he discusses the path to become a GIS web developer by doing projects with the direction of a shortcourse he has authored: 'Develop interactive maps on a website to report water quality issues'.
