How To Play GTA 5 Online With Mods Installed on PC THE EASY/RIGHT WAY

- If you want to play GTA 5 Online and you are worried that you cannot because you have mods installed for the base game or LSPDFR or whatever, use this method. It is way easier than copy this folder to that folder to this folder to that folder. Don't. Please don't give yourself a headache with those pointless methods.
All you need to do is put the dinput8.dll file onto your desktop when you want to play online. Put it back into your main directory when you want to play with mods.

There is a GTA 5 update coming tomorrow so if you know how, back up your game files if you still want to play LSPDFR, etc.

@@ARXZ777 Yeah I got the same issue, gives the error code saying to verify integrity of the game files
@@thebeastw31 yea the thing was i was also using a reshade while playing the game so i deleted the reshade and put dinpu8 out it starts working again

@@Lcbzuduudhhh4448dhgg its 100% because some mods replace things and then rely on those mods being loaded for the game to open. if u remove dinput8.dll, it stops mods from loading, so if one has too, for ur game to open, its gonna say that.
I just want to say this is a good method, but than again if you have dlclists changes or addons, or like a map mod there is a chance you could get banned.
Do you mean online? I legit do this and mods like what you mentioned don't get me banned online. I just upgrade my PC so a new updated video will be out this weekend.
I have 36 mods between regular mods and LSPFR as well.

@@Jo3yGames I’m talking about xmls if you change an xml file this could get you banned that’s why they use fivem for roleplay servers instead of normal gta server also easier accessibility but that’s besides the point if you have xml files changed it could be ban able, there are some xml files that allow you to see others through walls.
@cabsnuh2442 , that dinput enables and disables mods. I'm legit playing online right now. When my buddies leave for work, I'm going to take the dinput and put it back in to play LSPDFR....

Short loading screen. I have it on m.2 and it's quick. Next time, I'll cut them out.
And if I didn't cut them out to show I was going online, people would have thought I cut out the part where I was actually going online and would have questioned even more.

So this is just a way of temporarily "deactivating" installed mods so that you can play online? I'm looking for a way to play GTA V online - while using GTA V VR mod.

That's cheating, even if you don't get any overpowered tool, you are altering how the game works.
@@Ivan_Berni It is not altering how the game works. It is altering how pixels are displayed on a screen. The game itself runs exactly the same.
Also, playing GTA in VR is waaaaaaayyyyy harder than playing the normal way.

With VR you will be able to see things that normal players can not.

Yes it is only available after ot is installed.

Script hook does come with one but you don't need it. And no problem. I was annoying people on Reddit and Discord when I first started with all the questions I asked lol.

They do anything they can to make it hard on us with Mods.
I just tried it and it still works for me. When you remove the Dinput8 from your main directory onto your desktop, DELETE the one in your main directory. (It won't fully delete the file because you moved a copy of it to your desktop, etc).

This isn't even the easiest way. You can just rename everything after the . To .disabled any other fake file extension and when you are done name it back

I think you misunderstood the point of the video. He isn't trying to say how to use the mods for online. He's saying how to play online whilst you have mods installed.

Works for me I just did it. When you remove the dinput from your main directory onto your desktop or where you choose to put it. delete it from your main directory. (It won't permanently delete it because you moved it to somewhere else).
I was just online, while I have a load of GTA 5 mods on my PC.
If you ever want to play GTA modded again, LSPDFR, etc, just drag it back into your main directory.
I tried it and it worked. I got into online again. But now that i want to Play offline with mods the menyoo wont spawn when i press FN and F8. What should i do?

did you check the vid lol just remove your dinput8.dll file from your game directory and put it on your desktop then if you want mods again put it back in

No, Menyoo is only for single player mods. There are other menus like that for online play but I don't use them because I go online seldomly. Only to check out the new updates.

@@Jo3yGames just installed openiv and scripthookV tried to do a test run and it said corrupted. I assume I made a mistake in the process. Just got this game for PC yesterday, playing with mods was the first thing I wanted to do
@WiseGuye updated and redid everything, it worked. I got all the basics installed and it runs story mode. Removed the file and played online. Way better then having to make a copy of 100gb.

I deleted it after I moved it out of my main directory (which makes a copy) lol....
Just reinstall or check your recycling bin for the dinput8 file....

If you move it to the desktop and delete it in the main directory, it's fine and will still be there. If you want to use your mods, move the dinput back to the main directory.
It basically turns them off and on. I actually found this out by moving all my stuff to the desktop then said no shitt, the dinput disables mods lol.

Which client do you have it on? Try to verify the game files. I tried that it the issue went away.

@m_e , dll. When you remove that file from the mods folder, it basically disables the mods so you can play online or normally if you want. This way is far easier than other vides telling you to make like 3 folders to put this in there, that in the other folder, etc. Why? This way is so simple lol. Tomorrow I'm making an updated video and pinning to show everyone it still works because I play Modded GTA and LSPDFR every other day and when I want to go online, I just remove that folder from the main directory and add it back if I want to play modded again.
