I just acquired a TuffSew deluxe straight stitch machine, and unfortunately don’t have the power cord/foot pedal. Any advice on getting a replacement? Where to buy one and how to know if it will work with this machine. Feels like there is so little information out there about TuffSew machines!
If it has the two cords with regular wall plugs on the end, you can get the wiring online. One is for the light, and one is for the motor. We call them M&L wiring. If it has the three prong molded wiring, look online for the matching plug in. It could be for any odd named machine, or you may find one for a TuffSew. Either way, it will be online. Sewingoartsonline.com or Amazon. Do the search and many possibilities will display.
You get them from Tuff-Sew. It's easy to find in any search bar. The machines are in the $350- $750 range. I'm not sure how someone could blame adjustments made by several different owners on the original company.
Most likely that will be an issue with your foot control. The low speed settings will fail because of constant use. Most operators sew slowly when doing intricate tasks. It might be time for a new foot control.
@@CircleCityExplorer the upper main shaft will be the same size, so it shouldn’t be a problem. The only variable would be the width of the wheel at the hub. If they are the same width (which they probably are) everything should be interchangeable.
It was fairly well “jacked up”, as the customer had turned every screw that had access. In time, it finally came around. I moved it from ICU to outpatient area and it recovered nicely. It will experience some noisiness and clunkyness, but it will function. In other words, as good as new. They’re a Sailrite knockoff and not as smooth or precise IMHO.👍😎
It’s just a matter of setting every single thing that has a setting. It was “ out of wack” to use a technical mechanics term. It will work, but will never be a Sailrite.👍😎
I have one that looks like this that is a Deluxe Super Zig Zag with RED plate and there is a model tag says Model 4-U 'Made in Taiwan'. It has a Camper's Tent Maker logo in Red. Its the same as the Consew CP146R. At some point there needs to be a machinist reviewing these machines to determine which ones are the clones. Shiny doesn't always mean better. The parts numbers between the Sailrite, Consew, Reliable and this thing are the same and without an A-B comparison in parts you wouldn't know which was machined better. I don't see any of that going on so it makes me suspicious of originality claims. Machining has varied over the years so it all comes down to bearings and the tolerances at the end of the day. There are too many used Sailrites almost new industrials out here to justify the price. I found an LS at a pawnshop, I found a Consew at a pawnshop. You just have to have patience and look around till you find one.
You are correct about being patient in your search. We’ve all learned that lesson the hard way. When you finally know what item is ideal, that narrows it down considerably and helps focus the hunt. I appreciate your comments and thanks for watching. 😎👍
I have watched this man at work for decades. He is the master of sewing machines!
High praise indeed. Thank God, I’m so lucky to have customers and friends as awesome as you. Thanks Mr Grueser (Doc). 👍😎
Nice hd machine. You helped me with my 403a a few years back. Thank you again, Steve

God bless you! ❤
Thanks Babe. I appreciate you looking out for me. ❤️😎👍🏼

True.
Hi Randy can you tell me why I can’t slow down this machine and it’s so loud, I have the straight stitch tic sew no zig zag

Can I install the monster wheel on the straight stitch tuffsew? Or only the zigzag. Thanks

this machine runs super smoothly, I'm surprised!
It does now. When it came in for service, it sounded like an unoiled thrashing machine. They’re not bad when they’re serviced properly.
😎👍
If you can get one of those pieces of junk to sew fine you are a top man in the field.
Are they really that bad? It sure sounds awful.

Try Sailrite. They are a clone and you can figure it out due to the similarities. 👍😎
Just to be clear: the Tuff Sew is the clone.
The SAILRITE is the genuine article. IMHO.
I have an Omega walking foot Zig-Zag and am looking for a manual that will help me maintain and use
I got one might need you to fix it it's got some issues
Or maybe walk me through what could be the issue
