- On August 18, 2018 the North American Railcar Operators Association made their annual excursion along the Indiana Eastern. The railroad was once part of the C&O's mainline from Cincinnati to Chicago. CSX operated the route until the Early 2000s when IERR took over. Much of the C&O route has been abandoned including 18+ miles between Cincinnati and Fernald, Ohio as well as much of the track north of Richmond, Indiana. This motorcar trip ran over most of the 43 miles that the Indiana Eastern operates. This video covers the southbound run from Bath Indiana to the end of track as well as the northbound run over the large trestle at Okeana Ohio.
Drone footage captured with a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced. All footage copyright Brian Sellers. If you enjoyed this video please like and subscribe!
They look like soooo much fun to be on.
Videos like this one can really make someone get hooked on owning one, and experience their own railroad adventures. I'm gonna ask Santa to bring me one under my Christmas tree this year. This is better than asking for my two front teeth.
love the video also the train horns.
Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon when the weather is proper. The drone footage is a nice touch.
That Southern-ish horn at 1:28 wins it for me!
Same
This is so Awesome ! I want to go !
How fun, I hope more railroads allow this
Great video.Drone footage is really cool.Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for the video! This one and others motivate me to find and buy an old Dodge diesel truck and trailer to haul a Fairmont MT19 all around the country and join those fine folks riding the rails. This dovetails perfectly with my lifelong obsession with all things concerning railroading.
Have you experienced anything scary riding along the rails? I have a coworker who use to work a railroad and was an engineer. He told me some frightening stories.
How many of those things are there? Those things are cool.
I wonder if anyone has ever thought of making one of those with pneumatic tyres and a steering wheel that could be used on the road? I think it would be a great idea and I think I could be onto a winner!
I want one someday!
Get clearance (preferably a track warrant) before putting your speeder on "someone's rail". When you have to jump and you're on that trestle, say your prayers.
Hola buen dia saludos a todos como puedo contactarlos en México ay muchas vias muertas
I'd love one of those horns on my Harley !
where do i buy a ticket ???😁
"IS THIS TRACK FOR ENTERTAINING CYCLIST TO ENJOY THE RIDE OR ITS A PART OF TOURISM BOOST ??..
Great catch!
