Some great mods in that list. A friend of mine (who will remain anonymous) runs over 150 mods on his server. Apparently, it took him over 4 months to fine-tune the list and fix and remove conflicts. I'm amazed that Arma3 can even handle that many mods and still run smoothly.
try 642 mods (to include crazy ones like cherish AIO which is 48 GB alone). the launcher cannot even start the game and i have to use a powershell script to shorten the command line: ruclips.net/video/eG_MRNI_jlY/видео.html believe it or not, arma will run smooth with that many mods if you are willing to wait, it is they type of mods that matter not how many
@debugnet Yep I realize that. That's just crazy man. The big question is why. You must have lost a lot of friends with that many - most players start moaning if there are more than a couple of dozen mods. I can't imagine any mission that would require that many.
Man, love this content. Especially the Ace Combat 5 menu track that kicks in towards the end. Keep this style content up. Can only recomend throwing some video chapters up to jump right to the mod youre talking about
So far antistasi is the main reason I play arma Absolutely love how each mission is different and sporadic You can take a base after 10 mins with ease or have a 3 hour firefight Top tier stuff

Have you ever done or ever will do a full Arma 3 optimization guide? Granted, I know it would probably depend on what specs one would have (kinda, since the optimization is horrible regardless) but it would be nice to know where I could start and then tweak from there
Thank you for such an excellent list of mods! I also would like to recommend Fawke's NVGs: doesn't need ACE, but adds Modern Warfare Phosphor, Green Phosphor, and the White Phospor.
I do wish there were more Ace Combat mods specifically AC-6, I run my own nation in Politics and War and quite often need Emmerian assets for the screenshots I use in that games news system, Plus the E3 Sentry GOD I need one.
Great video, added to the list so i can download this stuff later. I 100% agree on stamina. Stamina is great if you want realism and you play with ACE where its way better, but when you are just having fun stamina sucks, and vanilla stamina sucks even more.
Awesome video! It's great to have you back - I've really missed your videos and inspiration. Always looking forward to see new mods you've discovered! A lot of them end up in my mod list for playing around with. Especially mods that draw inspiration from the horrible scene in Ukraine right now, such as the Crocus FPV Drone mod.
Thanks for making this - with all the videos of good mods you make, it's nice to see what you actually use on a regular basis. That being said, It's so hard to maintain any sort of discipline when making a modset. I have several that I use frequently that have become almost clones of eachother. Gotta do some cleaning-up...
i noticed at 10:25 you were playing some version of warlords, can i ask is it multiplayer, if so if its public what server? if its singleplayer, if its a mission on the workshop, could I know the name? i love warlords
thank you for your video. I love play Arma with some Mods (mostly in PVE Mod on my server - PVE is very underrated in Arma :) ) If you like to try my fav-Mods - what i use in most of the time ;) I use ACSTG Ai cannot see through grass .... instead of HATG - both are very useful - but you can not use together. Also there are some good Camo-Mods - like RE_ Camosys / DynamicCamo / Dynamic Camo System - Sometimes this can fix the Problem that KI can see you through bushes and other Vegetations. Also the Mod "AI anti-wallhack mod - fix some problems to have a better immersion and realistic playtime. Also if you like - you can try the Mod "Real Engine" - this have also a camo-system and other good fixes and patches for better gaming. Some good mods for more AI immersion I used are ---> "Bcombat" and "Ai accurancy fix" .... both are old mods but work fine. Also you can finetuned it over scripts or CBA (userconfig) . They make the AI more humanlike and give it more "taktic" agains the player. "Gear rebalance" is a good mod to fix the "superhero" Vanilla Uniforms and Gear from CSAT and give a Coop-Team or SP player more realistic in some "overpowerd" Missions. "immersive AI" is a very stronge Scripting mod (but work also without it). This make the AI very humanlike - change the combat animation more realistic, AI used Smoke and granades, Combat revive, used drones, garrison system, patroling, and much more. In the Script version you can switch on and off all these options. And :) one of my biggest Favorite Mods are from "Drongo" expecial "MapPopulation" is very powerful and a stronge mod - with this Mod you can create very exiting random Missions and/or random Events over the Map and around the Player in a easy way. For example - you can spawn diverend Fractions there will Patrol, Garrison, Hunt the player, create Camps an controlling this area, create Roadblocks, plane and heli patrols, tank patrols, occupied cities ....and much more. Missions you can create automatic over a Mission Maker or you create custom missions over some Addons (with a "co-code"). Also you can used it on a Server with a good "persistence modules" so you can save your charakter and his progress, but Server run without players on it. And ;) if you like to create some Stalker-like or Horror Missions you can use MapPopulation with Drongos Mod "Spooks and Anomalies" and for a creepy sullen Atmosphäre Drongos "Dynamic Weather". Drongo have some other interessting Mods in the Workshop - have also a short look on this, because this guy are amazing. And a final Tip - If you use a loot of Mods in 2024 - to make Arma still exiting - you can rent a server and use the high-end Hardwarepower from this. You have a better Performance and FPS. Arma-Servers are not very expensive and you can better play with friends.

Before watching this video I have a total of 622 mods. Arma 3 mods are becoming a bit of an addiction for me, and I haven't been playing Arma 3 for very long. So going into this video I'm hoping that I already have most of these mods. 😅 After watching the video ... I would suggest RHS Plus for anyone bored of RHS and who want the same factions but with a facelift. Also I use Project injury Reaction (PiR) instead of ACE3 Medical. It is awesome seeing ai teammates drag a wounded teammate to safety and then bandage them up or give them cpr. As I am currently making space on my laptop for Arma 3 to run better, I see that Arma 3 + DLC + Workshop content totals 515.41 GB. 💀

@@JacobWat I spend a majority in editor baking footage but also many of my shots are with friends online. A lot of the tight flying formation shots are with friends.

I mounted 540 mods in my arma..it takes arma itself to stopped me where it wouldn't let me mount more than 540 mods or else the the battleye will error
@Viper1Zero try out the AMZ sound mod along with the compats as well it's got the best explosion sounds, me personally i like that over JSRS. Haven't tried out Dynasound yet gonna give it a try

I’ve dabbled with and really enjoyed the fixed wing stuff in Arma - but I’m curious. Are there specific fixed wing scenarios you love? Or do you just whip something together in the editor? Do you most play solo, or with friends? I get this is a lame question, akin to “how do you play with your Legos”, but I’m just curious if there are SP scenarios that I should know about.
So when I’m feeling the CAS itch, I’ll load up a DRO scenario (Dynamic Recon Ops) which basically just generates an AO and Objectives. I’ll then spawn myself a plane and some friendly units to support, and give them waypoints into the AO. I’ll basically support the friendly AI with my airframe. It’s great bc you can do DRO In multiplayer too, me and my friend have been loving co-oping an Apache pilot and gunner. Air to Air I’m not really sure :/
@ That’s a great idea - adapting an existing dynamic mission to give you a base to build on top of. Makes perfect sense, though I’ll need to figure out how to give orders to the friendly units (before I take to the skies? Or are you doing it along the way?)
@ I use a mod called SSPCM (Simple Single Player Cheat Menu) to give myself Zues in the single player space. You’ll click the SSPCM menu in your map it’s at the top, go to the Zues option and enable it. Once you do that, press Y and you’ll be taken into an “orbit” like camera with options to spawn people/assets. Say you spawn like 4 squads of infantry and a 50 cal humvee for your team. You can select individual squads or highlight the entire platoon and right click where you want them to move, and it’ll set a waypoint for them to move there. If you hold right ctrl while right clicking you can place subsequent waypoints, so you can have them move town to town or building to building if you want to. I usually just give them basic waypoints bc I’m not on the ground, I’m just there to blow stuff up :D if you don’t know how to work Zues, I’d look up a tutorial. It’s real easy to set up. I also usually do it before take off, but sometimes the AI loses its waypoints so you may need to check them every once in a while in the air
Not a lame question at all! Honestly, I spend most of my time these days testing mods for either footage or just play testing something new coming out. A really enjoy smaller scenarios that are kind of a "slice" of the war, if that makes sense. "Eye in the Sky" is a great little training mission, and "Mouth for War" is a CLASSIC F-16 mission by Whiplash. When I do play with friends, I usually will load in a flightline of aircraft (usually F-16s, shocker right?) and then add in other aircraft with Zeus and we generally just have fun flying around in formation, getting cool footage and just laughing as things usually devolve into dogfighting, then chaos on the ground in spawn, then someone drops a nuke from USAF mod. lol

Please, PLEASE make Arma Reforger Mod videos! Arma Reforger's mod workshop doesn't allow feedback or comments. It's hard to tell what less popular mods are high quality or not. A youtube reviewer demonstrating the mods and reviewing them would help.
I have something in the works! :) Will probably be next month or perhaps even the new year. I've wanted to let the workshop mature a bit, but Reforger updates keep breaking mods (as expected due to the changes)
The mods ARE the lifeblood, but man BI is still working with third party creators (many of whom made mods) to pump out cDLCs and they've been pretty good.
ARMA/Steam/Bohemia needs a system to remove mods in bulk for stuff you really don't want. Scenario - You want to check out a server that requires you to download 27 mods amounting to 12 GB. Play the game on said server for a little bit only to decide it's not for you. Now your stuck with all these and a couple of hundred others that we don't want, but couldn't just flush them after deciding you didn't like the server. As it is now we're stuck with the task of individually sorting out hundreds of GB of mods. DayZ has the same problem.
@@BisuGaming94 I had some old and outdated info on there. The devs are actively working to push a huge update to fix some Arma 3 FPS issues. I didn’t want to spread bad info ahead of their update and cause problems for people, so I unlisted the video.

70 mods is wild, I have a preset in my launcher that’s my essential mods for every time I play and it’s only like 30-40. Wow
I definitely focus my mod on nations that seem interesting, mostly based around modern times, and adding immersive mods to get the best experience

Does jsrs, enhanceed and dyno sound work together? or what would be the like the optimal combination of sound mods that play well together?

Like say if i wanted to play the Halo mod, what additional mods would play well with it, or Like all the RHS mods, like kinda like a Mod Bundle video or smth

I’ve dabbled with and really enjoyed the fixed wing stuff in Arma - but I’m curious.
Are there specific fixed wing scenarios you love? Or do you just whip something together in the editor?
Do you most play solo, or with friends?
I get this is a lame question, akin to “how do you play with your Legos”, but I’m just curious if there are SP scenarios that I should know about.
So when I’m feeling the CAS itch, I’ll load up a DRO scenario (Dynamic Recon Ops) which basically just generates an AO and Objectives. I’ll then spawn myself a plane and some friendly units to support, and give them waypoints into the AO. I’ll basically support the friendly AI with my airframe. It’s great bc you can do DRO In multiplayer too, me and my friend have been loving co-oping an Apache pilot and gunner. Air to Air I’m not really sure :/

That’s a great idea - adapting an existing dynamic mission to give you a base to build on top of.
Makes perfect sense, though I’ll need to figure out how to give orders to the friendly units (before I take to the skies? Or are you doing it along the way?)
@ I use a mod called SSPCM (Simple Single Player Cheat Menu) to give myself Zues in the single player space. You’ll click the SSPCM menu in your map it’s at the top, go to the Zues option and enable it. Once you do that, press Y and you’ll be taken into an “orbit” like camera with options to spawn people/assets. Say you spawn like 4 squads of infantry and a 50 cal humvee for your team. You can select individual squads or highlight the entire platoon and right click where you want them to move, and it’ll set a waypoint for them to move there. If you hold right ctrl while right clicking you can place subsequent waypoints, so you can have them move town to town or building to building if you want to. I usually just give them basic waypoints bc I’m not on the ground, I’m just there to blow stuff up :D if you don’t know how to work Zues, I’d look up a tutorial. It’s real easy to set up. I also usually do it before take off, but sometimes the AI loses its waypoints so you may need to check them every once in a while in the air

Honestly, I spend most of my time these days testing mods for either footage or just play testing something new coming out. A really enjoy smaller scenarios that are kind of a "slice" of the war, if that makes sense. "Eye in the Sky" is a great little training mission, and "Mouth for War" is a CLASSIC F-16 mission by Whiplash. When I do play with friends, I usually will load in a flightline of aircraft (usually F-16s, shocker right?) and then add in other aircraft with Zeus and we generally just have fun flying around in formation, getting cool footage and just laughing as things usually devolve into dogfighting, then chaos on the ground in spawn, then someone drops a nuke from USAF mod. lol
70 mods for sunday driving is kinda crazy

Please, PLEASE make Arma Reforger Mod videos! Arma Reforger's mod workshop doesn't allow feedback or comments. It's hard to tell what less popular mods are high quality or not. A youtube reviewer demonstrating the mods and reviewing them would help.
I have something in the works! :) Will probably be next month or perhaps even the new year. I've wanted to let the workshop mature a bit, but Reforger updates keep breaking mods (as expected due to the changes)

The mods ARE the lifeblood, but man BI is still working with third party creators (many of whom made mods) to pump out cDLCs and they've been pretty good.

ARMA/Steam/Bohemia needs a system to remove mods in bulk for stuff you really don't want. Scenario - You want to check out a server that requires you to download 27 mods amounting to 12 GB. Play the game on said server for a little bit only to decide it's not for you. Now your stuck with all these and a couple of hundred others that we don't want, but couldn't just flush them after deciding you didn't like the server. As it is now we're stuck with the task of individually sorting out hundreds of GB of mods. DayZ has the same problem.

@@BisuGaming94 I had some old and outdated info on there. The devs are actively working to push a huge update to fix some Arma 3 FPS issues. I didn’t want to spread bad info ahead of their update and cause problems for people, so I unlisted the video.
