True, the prices are kinda pushing me out of the hobby but then there comes the next beautiful figure and I'm back again! 😂 But the prices forces you to really think about what to get and what not to get, so it has it's merits! 🙃

I received A-Z: E last week from Amiami and she is so cute. I think she looks even better in person! I have 17 preorders so far for 2024. This is a very conservative number for me plus I have already prepaid 9 of them so I am doing very well when compared to previous years. Normally I would have twice that many but I'm trying to be more careful with my ordering. And as you had mentioned, now that I have been collecting for a while, I have a better idea about what figures I believe I would truly, truly love as opposed to just preordering anything when it's love at first sight, but then my interest disappears before the figure is even released. And I agree with you too that in some cases it is better to wait to see what the figure looks like when it comes out and that it is safe to wait to see if the price will drop. These figures have become so expensive many of us just can't afford to buy as much as we used to. It's better to have a few you really, really love rather than many that you merely like and wouldn't miss if you didn't have them. Thank you for the video!
Oh, wow! I can't wait for mine, AmiAmi shipped her package last week, but on a boat so it will sadly take a while until it comes to me🥲

You pre-ordered a lot of figures I'm also interested in! I decided against pre-ordering though, with the current market being like it is I'll trying my luck in the aftermarket
👍Good strategy, that's what I try with a lot of figures as well. These were just the ones that I really, really want so I preordered them ☺
nice List, as I just order Male Figures, I think, I just have 6(?) Scales on Preorder, also the two Guys from Tokyo Revengers, Hua Cheng, the two Guys from Mo Dao Zu Shi and my Boys from Dramatical Murder, Gabimaru from Hell's Paradise, the most Figures are Nendoroids and some PopUp Parades like Alucard with the Hat and the Trio from Samurai Champloo🎉
Cool! Is the Gabimaru one from Kotobukiya? I kinda want to pick up this one, but I can't decided if I want him with the extra faceplate or not.
I also want to pick up the PuP's for HIbari Kyouya and Tsunayoshi Sawada from Hitmen Reborn!

Ohh you have some lovely preorders there! Yes I'm in the same situation I have cancelled a lot of preorders and there are still more I might cancel to be honest, I agree I just don't feel comfortable with figure pricing at the moment but it's crazy you go on the amiami sale section and you can get amazing scale figures reduced to ¥10k-¥21k which is much more reasonable! Which figure are you looking forward to most?

Hm, that would probably be Ashura and the tea Time cat! Ashura is really a dream figure of mine, which I thought I would never see/get! And the Tea time cats are just such a cute series, I love them and can't wait to add more of them to the collection.🥰🥰

Nice preorders! Very curious about the enmusubi as well but the price is hard to swallow. We totally agree with what you said... figure prices are getting absurd and quality is getting worse for many of them. For now we haven't preorderd much and luckily everything is already paid for. I am sure a couple of those figures will tank in the aftermarket but somehow we are still hesitant to rely on the after market since we only preorder figures we absolutely need anyway...just can't risk not getting them...
Hobby Genki is now our go to store because of their pricing and their shipping. It used to be CD Japan, but since they don't offer sea mail to germany anymore it doesn't make sense to buy any larger figures from them anymore...sadly though, we really liked them =)
I really, really hope Enmusubi drops in price... I would have probably preordered her for 25-27k...but the price right know is absurd. especially with amiami shipping quotes.
I can't really trust the aftermarket as well, for now all the figures that I hoped to drop just sold out for the same price as announced or dopped for just a few bucks. On the other hand all the figures I recently got just dropped in price... so kinda hard luck for me 🥲😅
I will get my first figure from hobby genki soon, let see how long they take for the figure to be in their warehouse and then to be shipped out to me and for what price. 😗
I'm all about that sweet, post-COVID aftermarket bargain bin. The Yen has never been weaker. No point in pre-ordering in general. That said, I did pre-order Koakuma-chan. Figures from artist BLADE tend to go up in aftermarket if you've evern seen SkyTube's Chiyuru or Native's Tabby-san.

Agreed as well, Chiyuru says nothing to me, but Tabby-san is and was my Holy grail! I just finally got her at the end of last year, I even did an unboxing of her. 🥰So glad to finally call her my own🥰
I truly hope Koakuma-chan will fit nicely next to Tabby-san, I can't wait.
@@pakuccino Gratz! I'm still trying to find Tabby-san for a decent price. I got beat out by a hair when she was up for one of Native's Fall Clearance Sales.
BLADE does seem to be getting a lot of commissions these days so there will be plenty of cute figs coming down the line.
