Well done Robin, one of your most passionate reviews. Good pace, good depth. You don't try to demonstrate each feature but most the ones needed to get started. The best segment, the presets, are the best. A taste of those will motivate anyone to create their own.
Thanks for this Robin, this has been in my rack for a few months but I've been too lazy to explore it properly. I shall definitely be diving deeper now.
Excellent review. I was building my diy version earlier this evening, so I was really intrigued to see what this review would say. The explanation is really helpful.
this was the best of the show for me at synthfest. they had a boot close to ours, and i kept coming back asking about it. i just hope there will be propper version, without menu diving
Brutha, I can dig some fm. But what I really like is the unique, the strange, the odd, and things that aren't done elsewhere, or at least not done the same way. Those factors make me go "oh wow. Gotta play with that!"
There is an occasional crackle on the left side (on the drone showcase in the beginning and in the middle of the polyphony noodle). What’s causing that?
Very cool looking and sounding module. Not sure it's for me though. Too deep. I've been trying to avoid modules with menu's or even button combos. Got a few button combo annoyances. I can handle those. Pretty sure this thing would annoy the hell out of me in use unfortunately. Does sound fantastic though.
You’re not a fan of FM synthesis? Spend some more time with it and experiment with it more. If any module will grow your appreciation for fm synthesis, it’s this one!
Thanks, I grew up with a DX100 so I'm a fan to a point. It's the clanging and crashing of waveforms to get something a bit clangy that i find less thrilling - unless I'm doing a Dr Who effect.
It's super to have a manual online. Your video is amazing and I wish I had your voice :).

Yikes, Robin! That was an intro worthy of a 17th century baroque poet! wonderfully done, sir!
Ha, thanks!
🤣
Thanks for the indepth review - I've ordered the kit.

the defacto video manual. thank you so much!
That’s a really impressive module!
So tempted. :)
This video is fantastic! Thank you!
Going to look at the DIY kit from Thonk as a cheaper option.

Does anyone have investigate the midi CCs mapping? I wonder if it's possible to use a midi controler with the V.Wave?
I would ask RYK Modular
@@MoltenMusicTech Thank you very much. It could be super fun to have a full control of the module with a midi controller....
@@MoltenMusicTech By the way it's an incredible deep module with a tone of greats handful options in it
Very deep - hence my review being well over an hour :D

Sounds gorgeous ... oh no ... mastercard high alert!

Called Tendrils
Well, it does seem that you need to linearize your laserboogies with some more cowbell resonances.

This Vector thing was invented by Dave smith just before working with yamaha
