I am the only black in my neighborhood. Some of them wonder how I managed since my husband passed. Its going on 8 years, and they still ask if I am moving back to the state I was born in. I tell them God will move me when he is ready. I tell them. I have no fear, and God takes good care of me. I am very comfortable and not fearful or lonely. GOD is GREAT.

Am I the only one who can feel the pain and trauma flowing through my blood? I feel like I have memories of being on a plantation sometimes. . Like I can feel how my ancestors felt. It’s a bit overwhelming at times and gets me down, but also motivates me and gives me hope. If they survived all of that, I have no excuses. I feel very lonely though in this state, Colorado, where outside of Denver I am sometimes the only black person in a restaurant and feel very uneasy. . I don’t feel accepted or a warm embrace from the people here, I feel very ostracized and like I stumbled into some utopia they’ve built for themselves. I just want to feel safe, surrounded by genuine people who care about me, and not ashamed of my black features. I want to grow my hair with pride and not feel judged. I am venting. I’m 27 and just lonely. . Thank you all for reading this post. Again I remain hopeful about the future, but this place I’m currently in is most definitely not for me.

I remember, the next service it had gotten back to Pastor Kilpatrick and he told the congregation if they have any problem with any people black in this church, it will not be tolerated. Am I the only one who can feel the pain and trauma flowing through my blood? I feel like I have memories of being on a plantation sometimes. . Like I can feel how my ancestors felt. It’s a bit overwhelming at times and gets me down, but also motivates me and gives me hope. If they survived all of that, I have no excuses.
I feel very lonely though in this state, Colorado, where outside of Denver I am sometimes the only black person in a restaurant and feel very uneasy. . I don’t feel accepted or a warm embrace from the people here, I feel very ostracized and like I stumbled into some utopia they’ve built for themselves.
I just want to feel safe, surrounded by genuine people who care about me, and not ashamed of my black features. I want to grow my hair with pride and not feel judged. I am venting. I’m 27 and just lonely. . Thank you all for reading this post. Again I remain hopeful about the future, but this place I’m currently in is most definitely not for me.

I waited in line when it was my turn, the white gentleman looked as though I wasn’t there so I finally said excuse me. I remember, the next service it had gotten back to Pastor Kilpatrick and he told the congregation if they have any problem with any people black in this church, it will not be tolerated. There are several exits in this church you can leave. We are all Gods children and I mean it will not be tolerate!!
