I used to love exploring like this. In Big Dalton Canyon off GMR. We used to hike up to the experimental forest and wonder what they did up there. It seemed so mysterious back then in 86-87 (High School days). Lots of great memories! Thanks for posting all your adventures.

I tried taking GMR down today but it's closed for some reason.

My dad worked on torpedo's for Aerojet there in Azusa. He helped design power system for them. Aerojet used to be a big employer, now its all gone. The guy who started Aerojet was one of the ones who started JPL. JPL was a private company and wasn't part of the government when it started.

Do you think because of the perchlorates that one should only filter the tap water rather than drinking straight from the tap? Ive been filtering my water but some friends still drink the tap around there and it tastes straight nasty alone.

I filter all my water or buy bottled

    Wow that was great Tony.
I've heard about this place for years. Thought it was just a concrete tank. Kinda pretty.
I think where I worked used this place in the 80's or 90's
