When there are seven cars sold in the U.K and you've checked out three of them - I really think you should get it over with and get one.

What I enjoy about your reviews, it the fact that although this is called "Harry's garage", it is always more about the cars than about you. And this is something quite rare today... Those videos are really therapeutic to me. Thanks a lot Harry.

I think it's even more beautiful today than when new. It's aged really well and doesn't look anything like a modern overly slick design.

Having worked in Rome during the late eighties and early nineties I was lucky enough to see first hand a Maserati Shamal in piazza Venezia. Truly wonderful car to see. One of only 369 built of which 59 were RHD. Great review which brought back to me a flood of memories of a great time in Italy.

I always liked the Shamal - surprised so few were sold in the UK - I remember someone's parents picking them up in one at my school around '93 or '94. He took off pretty quickly and I'll never forget how the autumn leaves on the road were spat out from under the rear wheels as they spun. Never saw it again after that.

Just popping in to say that I'm a guy that likes the steering wheel further away. Yes, we do exist! Every car I get in, I push the telescoping wheel all the way in. I had an Audi 90 with the wheel fixed, and too close to me, which was a major reason for selling it.

Really enjoying these videos, more so because I drive through your town every morning on my Cotswold commute to Tewkesbury, sit at those traffic lights for the bridge at the bottom of the high street and enjoy the great road to Stow-on-the-Wold then enjoy even more the B4074 from Stow to Tewkesbury. I don't have anything old but my car is a modern rear wheel drive small coupé with 250bhp, manual box and great handling balance. :-)

The Shamal came from a particularly strange time at Maserati, but even so, they’re phenomenal cars. I have been driving a Tipo M139 QP as a daily vehicle, but I would really love to add a spectacular coupé or roadster to my garage as well. The 3200 GT is a more likely vehicle for me, but the Shamal is definitely swaying me strongly.

I have a RHD Ghibli II with the same 'pelle grigio' and wood interior - it grows on you, even the clock! Yes, there are constant niggles with electrics, but apart from the engine the mechanicals are pretty simple. The engine is a gem, Cosworth design, coscast 4v heads, smooth, torquey, turbo kick, strong bottom end. You have to be willing to get your hands dirty, and experience with them is worth a lot in saved time. Most common faults are well known with remedies, but there is not the aftermarket and support network as so few were built, and they weren't sold new in the USA. The drive is much improved with tuned suspension - Maserati factory was old school with lower front suspension frequency than rear, which makes it soft and cars ground easily. 350lb/in front springs on my car gives ~5% understeer balance, rather than large oversteer balance as standard. Shamal is a mad car, crazy unique styling, box flares - Gandini let loose on a three-box 80's bi-turbo. They don't build cars like that anymore.....for better or worse. Love your 'work' Harry.

Today he still tinkers with his cars lifting engines out etc, where most gentlemen of that age have long retired. I asked him are Ferrari, Lamborghini his favorite? No, no he replied "Maserati" and went on and on giving the reasons. Now I admire Maseratis. Bliss. :)

Biturbo was extremely facinating for me as younger, especially Maserati ones...I drooled over these cars in the 90's. Later on in life I settled at a point, among others, a Range Rover Autobiography 400hk twin-supercharged, and for a 2,8 ton car, it was fast as a ferret, and delivered super instant response/power.
I surprised a meny a Posche drivers at the red lights then.

There are three Maserati from the 90is that were special (still are): Ghibli (cup), Quattroporte (evoluzione) and Shamal. These are like women. You love them or you hate them. For these three mentioned cars you cannot say: I like the engine or I like the line but ... There is no "but". You love them as a package, like your wife or you hate them in general. For me these were (are) pure cars with souls and hearts. Therefore you should threat them well. Like in the video: driver`s cars. Nice video. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

It's funny....the cars looked so good but they were complete garbage. I think 1 out 4 cars came off the assembly line with a defect. But who cares...right? Like I said.....they look soooooo good.

LB I had a 430 for a while. The performance was manic but there was always some stupid little problem, particularly with electrics. At least I got it out of my system and went back to German cars :)

I've always wanted a Bora, though that was about ten or fifteen model years prior.

The Integrale and the Ghibli are two of my dream cars. Managed to own an EVO for a few years but could never quite afford a Ghibli.
Love the Shamal too. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I had the means.

These personal very well researched and highly informative videos are absolutely brilliant. I’m English, I very rarely blow the patriot trumpet, but I will here; we do make some lovely cosy No BS reviews of cars that are without equal anywhere in the world. Well done Harry.

I was lucky enough to watch one live and I can assure you that it really has the feel of something very exotic, despite being basely in the biturbo and this has NOTHING to do with its rarity!

What a wonderful car! Only if I could find one! The great thing about this video is that I loved it despite not understanding one single word. Best wishes!
