Sung at the Completion of the Battle Monument, July 4, 1837
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set today a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.
What diction! What a voice! What a poem ... read with much understanding. Brought tears to my eyes. Bra---vo, friend.

You are so boring
Boring? Why did you write that I am "boring"? I watched your dance instruction videos, and I would never put down your videos. I respect what you do on youtube. I hoped you would find my videos to be NOT boring. It's a famous poem. I've visited Concord. Going there and reciting the poem there--meaningful. Listen to the poem again to see if it grows on you?

Why did you write that I am "useless"? I watched your dance videos. I like your videos. I would never put them down. I hoped you would like mine, but I guess you don't. But poetry can grow on you, so if you give it another chance...
