Your videos got me started carving spoons. So peaceful to watch so i had to try myself. 2 hours of carving is 2 hours of meditation. Thanks from Norway.
@nadavartandwood , ha ha, yes. Aftervthe first spoon i had 7 cuts on two fingers on my left hand, small cuts but big enough so I had to tape them to avoid carving a blood spoon. The next spoons/work has been free from fingercutting.
I love this special creation and you’ve inspired me to make the same…I am under skilled as a newbie but I will make many of them to practice and improve my skills. Thank you for this video.
Loved your video and the finished spoon. Thank you for sharing. Something as beautiful as the spoon ought to be branded with your mark. Perhaps consider your wrist tattoo as you brand.
@ your video was very inspiring, I’ve made a step closer to giving it a go., been putting off for decades. Went out today and came back unexpectedly with some files / rasps I found on offer. Will order online a couple of knives like what you used in the tutorial soon and get started. A nice hobby to undertake in my allotment here in Germany.

That’s actually a good idea I never thought about using my tattoo before 🤔😅 thought it would be challenging to make a metal stamp with this design 🤔

Thank you ☺️ 🙏🏾
Very nice. Thank you for sharing your work. What kind of oil do you like to use for the finish?
Thank you🙏🏾 I’m using walnut oil(:
Beautiful. How are you drying the wood?
Depends on the size and thickness of the piece, I let it dry in a bag half closed with some wooden chips(:
very nice work! But what type knife and and sickle knife are those?
Thank you! It’s mora 120 and mora 164, you can look at the links in the description (:
What kind of wood do you recommend? I just got a set of woodworking knives but I cheaped out and they’re not very sharp
Any wood is OK, soft green wood probably best when starting out. Knives may be OK, just learn how to sharpen them properly.
I agree!😁
Ok, but what is the actual essence of Wood used in this video?
🙋♂️👍👍👏👏👌✌️😉
