Your a artist in many ways sir, your amazing. You and your brother made your parents proud. It truly is a journey of trial and error in woodworking and your an inspiration for the process. Just the way you composed this video is stunning so relaxing and genuine with the knowledge and experience from your perspective is so well done
I really liked watching this video. You are creative🌷🌷🌷🌷. So what is the best type of wood for making kitchen utensils such as spoons, cups, plates, or anything else?
You have a great philosophy of working with wood. Great video and composition from your brother. Cheers.
What type of knives do you use to carve?
That lil guy SHARP
how do you effectively clean up all the wood debris? ive carved a few projects and i never have found a good system for avoiding a giant mess
Wonderful video and outcome! I felt super calm watching it, your dog boosted the calmness twice! Thank you for sharing your work! It’s motivational and relaxing
Thank you!😊🙏🏾really happy to hear you enjoyed it 😁
Hi, could you tell me what wood it is in this video? The bark and grain look like what I reclaimed from a wood dumping spot. I always wanna identify it. Cheers!
I believe it’s cherry (:
What is your dog's name 😊 BTW Lot's of Love from Assam, India ❤
It’s Mochi (:
@@nadavartandwood oh nice 🙂
Very well explained thupms up
Excellent work. Absolutely beautiful. This is an ultimate display of focus and attention to detail. Tell your brother his piano compostion and playing is soothing and a great accompanyment to displaying your craft. Btw maybe you said but how long between cutting into the log at home and the first time you oil the piece? Do we have a certain time frame we need to finish our project?
Thank you😊🙏🏾 and as for how long you should wait before oiling 🤔 I don’t have any rule for that I wait until the wood is dry, usually when you carve a thinner shape it doesn’t take long for it to dry can be several days
Sorry if I missed you saying this but what type of tree was this?
It’s cherry wood(:
Thank you for making this gentle and calming film.
This so relaxing to watch. Thank you.
Me gustó mucho el vídeo, muy zen! Pero sobretodo muy educativo. Gracias
This man knows how important a good dog is for the wood carving process.
Great video. I've learned through my own carving journey to use whatever knife is comfortable for you. I appreciate your videos and am always inspired to start a new project, thank you again.
Happy to hear you enjoyed it😊😁
The spoon is absolutely gorgeous and I enjoyed your calm narration with soothing music. The dog is super cool too. I live in Alaska so we have lots of wood available. I am just a beginner but I would like to learn more about the different types of wood. Thank you.
I would would strongly recommend you watch Zed outdoors , he has interviewed several carvers, showing their thinking process behind every decision they make while carving spoons and a plethora of other things.
according to himself, the dog is not getting enough attention
Excelent video! i like so much. congrats
Exactly what I was waiting for 😍
Beau travail !!!! ( grâce à ce super chien 🐕 🐕 🐕 !!!!)❤❤❤
Very nice video, can you post a new video?
I’m working on a feather pendant project (:
@@nadavartandwood I'm looking forward to it
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your sharing. From someone who hasn't stopped thinking yet..!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it 😊
Гений! Золотые руки! Собака рядом,это очень хорошо!!!!!
What tree is that?
It’s cherry(:
@@nadavartandwood thanks
Before oiling you should clean the surface with water and let it dry. This will make the wood fibers soak water and make it less smooth. Then you can sand it away with your finest sandpaper you use before oiling and then oil it. The oiling result will be much smoother. If you won't do the water+sand trick, this fiber grittiness will come anyway, but after oiling. Which is particularly bad if you oil only once. If you do oil more than once, then the reached result can be the same, but the water trick will save you time, effort, oil and extra oiling step.
Thank you! I tried your suggestion and it worked well!😁
@@nadavartandwood I am glad that to help!
My daughter and I greatly enjoyed watching your video. The bowl is so beautiful! You have inspired us to try for ourselves ❤ thank you!
Thank you 😊🙏🏾 I’m happy to hear!😁
Your voice overs are great! As a beginner its great to see you technique (would love a video on this) as well as your philosophy of when to take off wood as well as why. Inspiring, thank you.
Thank you brother 👏
🎉😊😊😊😊
Gorgeous
What talent and artistry❤ selecting the wood/reading the grain/compensating/ etc. The finished pc is beautiful
What wood is this?
It’s cherry (:

Outstanding
Beautiful work! 👏🤩
Excellent video buddy
Have you ever tried pumpkin seed oil? It gives the wood a slightly green or olive touch in color.
No never tried it🤔 how is the smell?
Beautiful bowl and lovely video
byee gna make a butter knife
Really nice video and bowl. Great editing and also really nice and fitting music. (Nice to have a composer and pianist for your channel^^)
👍👍
how long would you approximate it took you from start to finish? Thanks Nadav
With the filming I would say around 4 days several hours each day, without the filming it can take 1.5-2.5 hours from start to finish
