A fun way they showed how powerful he could be, during the Justice League in the Sixth Dimension story line, which is canon, Mxy and Bat-Mite fight each other and doing so actually begin to unmake the comic itself, so as you're reading it, the page goes from regular comic art and degrades until it's basically sketches
Wow that's so cool, I've seen some 4th wall breaks and stuff which impressed me before, but this is a whole different kind of concept that I find so interesting and neat, I can't even imagine the kind of battles two beings of that power would have, like, if you can bend reality to your will, you know the battle will be trippy as hell
7:53 So Bendis was a huge name over at Marvel so when he was switching over to DC it was this big thing, even resulting in some pretty incidental comedy when they were advertising it because they would have in giant letters covering two pages at the end of comics saying, "Bendis is coming," and he was essentially given a choice to pick whatever character he wanted to write and he chose Superman.
He's actually left now, and the more recent comics are being well received, especially the warworld saga, but Bendis ruined a lot of stuff, the most major probably aging up Superman's son, which robbed Superman of having stories with him and how he and lois raise him
Those things that he did do sound pretty bad, also did he at least do a good job while he was at Marvel, if he was a big name? Kinda funny IF that is the case, and he moved over to DC, and all he did was ruin things haha
@@VithLiahain Yeah, he was really good at Marvel, some of his best work was writing Daredevil and Spider-Man, and I think that may be the issue, he's really good at writing for street level characters, but Superman is so much more that it may be part of why his writing wasn't really working.
You can actually see that theory in action while he was at DC because he was tasked to make a Batman mini series, and it was great, and Batman is also mostly a street level character
@@grimrobin696 Actually a great way to look at it, if he is used to make smaller scale stories, then having to do one of the biggest scale ones would bring a pretty huge change in everything, even the example you mentioned makes it make sense, trying new things is not bad but I guess if you are good at *something*, that doesn't always mean you will be good at another something too

11:45 Bat-Mite is a Batman`s greatest fan, he is also an Imp from The Fifth Dimension. In show "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" he was shown very good, you could watch it somewhen at leisure, an episode or just some scenes, which you could found on RUclips.
OH! ANd also, fun fact: There is exists only ONE Mr. Mxyzptlk. Every time in every media: Every comic, every TV show, every video game,EVERY IMAGE OF HIM - is the very same one guy.
Thank for for the "it was me, Barry" meme integration, I appreciate it, but I will probably still NOT remember how to pronounce that name, so the short one is just fine for me haha, and about the second thing you said, if that is the case, how DOES he take real damage then, and why does he have a physical body even, just to interact with things or what? The third thing is the second time someone tells me about that Batman cartoon so I might as well watch it in my own time at this point, or maybe watch some kind of compliation/s from it on the channel first and then watch the whole show on my own, not sure, also the last fact you said is quite mindblowing honestly, I like it a lot, it does make the character really feel like he is more than just a character
@@VithLiahain The second thing....seems to be like destroying Dr. Manhattan body, like...it don`t really have any meaningful results. As for the show, if you love the sillyness and absurd of silver age of comics(like Bat-spray against sharks) - check this one out.

11:06 That's actually one of my favorite pages with Mxy, because as the video says, he's speaking to the reader, and Mxy is asking who's more real? You or him, and that as long as people keep writing or thinking about him he'll exist, wheras no one will remember you after a while, basically asking what's more real, A person or an Idea
Kinda true in the end, isn't it? So many people die and eventually are forgotten, some are remembered for longer but most not for that long, but some fictional characters could be remembered forever for all we know, such a nice 4th wall breaking existential touch in a comic
Dc canon and marvel canon is different thing... Marvel non canon means not real, just made up story for fun... Dc non canon means exists some where but not part pf continuity
That's interesting, the fact that Marvel and DC do not work the same way in that regard, I'm assuming that what you mean for DC is that there are all kinds of stories in different universes or timelines that do not fall in the canon one(s?) but can be somewhere still, but why does it not work that way for Marvel too?
