This came out stunning!!! Far better than even the reference photo! I love all the colors and amazed how much the layering and ease of using the rake brush then glazing over just transformed it!

Lisa... at the end of your video, also show your reference photo along side of your finished painting... if you don't mind showing the difference of the two? 🤔🙄

Watching you paint is like watching a construction project -- you separate it all into different sections, layers I guess. Here is the outline, here is the value, here is some fine detail, here is glazing. It isn't like watching you paint a painting, it's like watching you BUILD a painting. And yes it looks weird in mid-rendering -- so does a building before the exterior bits go on.

Would Love Love Love to see the reference photo during your painting. You refer to it ALL the time but it's just a distance memory to us the viewer, perhaps you can make the sleeping dogs video a little smaller and insert the reference or photo of the end painting. While you add colors and such we have no idea what you are going for or doing, but you keep talking about the reference. Really we see it in the beginning briefly. I think that is why your painting don't give us confidence as we cant remember what value or end color you are going for.
