Shaw's son in this clip.... incredible. It's like his father was put in a time machine in 1975 and brought to the present. This is well-cast. Duddy Kravitz, being a Canadian film, never receives the attention it deserves. Dreyfuss' performance in it is very good. I imagine being in Lucas' American Graffiti probably helped to establish Dreyfus as an actor.
Saw it last week, simply sensational, Ian Shaw’s performance playing his dad is flawless, if you are a fan of the movie then you really need to see this, Shaw’s rendition of the Indianapolis speech was so poignant and fitting....superb!
Superbly done. Ian as his dad is so true to Robert, whilst Liam and Demetri's performances are also brilliant renditions of Roy and Richard. It's all so believable considering the troubles and frustrations of the original production.
Shaw is very very good. He looks exactly like Quint. 🤣 Isn't drunk enough to be Quint. But at least they're showing the drama between him and Dreyfuss. 🤣
I hope this production comes back and tours the UK at some point now its in the US , I'd love to see this and hopefully the play will get filmed , it deserves to be for posterity ; the whole cast are excellent but Ian Shaw deserves an award for his uncanny portrayal it would be just, as his father deserved an Oscar for the film
@@JnEricsonx Good for you , I hope you enjoy it , after it's done its run in the US I'm hoping I'll get to see it too if it comes back to the UK and does a nationwide tour
I wonder if a TV adaptation has been mooted? It's an intriguing three-hander that could make a strong, one hour drama. And with a TV version, liberties could be taken with setting and time - eg jumping to a scene of Robert with his second wife, actress Mary Ure, or recreating a famous scene from one of his other leading, film roles, eg Henry Vlll or Bond villain, etc, as he's recounting a nostalgic story to the other two. We could get a more complex and multi-faceted version of the play on the small (or big) screen, with more characters popping in and out, bringing variety. I think the danger with the live/stage set-up, is that as good as the actors are, they're NOT the original three, hugely charismatic stars. So their performances/impersonations could inevitably become 'one-note' fairly rapidly, and dare I say tedious to the audience. Ian Shaw HAD to be an actor - any other career would have been a criminal waste of that wonderful voice and charisma. And yes, he does look like his dad. But I think there's a very positive and reassuring quality coming from him, that Robert Shaw lacked. Maybe Ian simply lacks his father's demons? Whatever that big difference is, this guy is comfortable in his skin - Robert never was.
"So, eleven hundred men went into the water. 316 men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb.” Except of course, "At 00 :15 on 30 July 1945, Indianapolis was struck on her starboard side by two Type 95 torpedoes." (Wikipedia)
He really looks like his famous father BUT and hear me out...he has an eerily resemblance to a certain guy named Richard Dreyfuss...sure this isnt just Richard messing with us and pretending to be the son of Robert Shaw?XD It would be SO fitting for his humor XD
Not only looks likes dad but gets his dad's voice even more so... astounding
"Anyway, we delivered the bomb". The delivery on that line is *amazing*. It's possibly one of the single best bits of film acting of all time.
Nah…it’s the black like a doll’s eyes moment.
Just watched it last night, got quite emotional at end with Indianapolis speech.

This cast has to absolutely make this into a movie
And shoot it at sea!!
Directed by Stephen Speilberg, at the same places on Martha's Vinyard He filmed the orginal. Full circle.
I really wouldn’t mind that. I’ve watched so many documentaries on the shooting of JAWS and the making of the movie would be a good movie in itself. 😅
"Quit playing with yourself Hooper "😄
Need to get this to do the rounds around this country please 🦈🙏💯
I got to see the play in NYC last month. It was absolutely fantastic. Ian Shaw becomes his father, essentially. A remarkable performance.
Favourite film of all time. Ian is Quint. Uncanny. Would love to see the play.
Saw it yesterday. It is simply amazing. Ends on Sunday 13th February, go and see it!
Got my tickets booked to see this in Manchester. Can't wait!

I see Liam Murray Scott does a great American accent! I didn’t realize he wasn’t actually American. Nice work!
If I weren't averse to flying I'd go to London just to see this play.
These guys really are the business!!
Would really love to see this, but unfortunately, by the time I'm able to get to London it will have finished.
I loved it well done to all involved x
He looks so much like his dad, it's like 1975 again.
This is fantastic❤❤❤
great show!!
“I’m bored… arm wrestling!!” 😅
This is awesome!

".... you were supposed to blow the bloody jaws off!" Ooop's wrong movie, I will get my coat!
Well, Robert Shaw didn't have the chance to eat his words 40 years later. Only 3 or 4 years after the movie.
I know a lot of people are saying it.......Robert Shaw's son looks like a younger version of his father
🎥⭐️.

I will tell you what the film is about Dreyfuss, it’s an old time sea-adventure with elements of horror.
This has to be a movie, right? 🙏
Dark eyes like a dolls eyes don’t seem to be livin till he bites ya 🦈
Uhh…Ian Shaw looks like a wax figure of Robert Shaw
And acts like one!
@@fearlessjoebanzai really? That bad eh?
What a resemblance, clone like
This Shaw guy's okay, but Phil Hartman would've made a better Quint.
Talk about stiff.
Are they actually trying to emulate the prop shark?
