"Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of wellbeing and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. But by sitting still, and the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right." ~Soren Kierkegaard
Hi, Dave. I solved a musical recording problem yesterday during my walk. It just came to me during the walk that I had repeated a particular phrase unnecessarily, that repeating that phrase made the whole piece less interesting, more predictable. As soon as I got home, I deleted that phrase (it was a repeated phrase that was already heard in the beginning of the piece). Knocking it out and rearranging some of the other instruments made the whole piece much better.
Your gift to me, Dave, and even more so today is to inspire me to get out there. And walk. I started on roughly a mile about two months ago and am now on roughly 3.5 to 4 miles without the short walks in between, a day, and sometimes twice a day. This particular video really inspires me. I tell whoever I can about you as what you do and teach really matters. Thank you so much from Sunny South Africa
I walk with my walker every day. I use my walker because my back is scoliosis in my lumbar and the walker helps me to stand up straight. I walk because I like to get outside. And exercise.
This is one of my favorite videos you have done, reminding us that walking can help us be more creative. It was interesting that you said even the person of the century, Albert Einstein even took walks to help him find solutions.
I do believe in being able to have new ideas and solve problems while walking, but walk has a coming effect on me to the point reducing my worries and anxiety.
All the people who walk to Compostela in Spain do it to find a meaning to their lives, not always religious, but they meditate, think...and all say it has changed them.
Hi Dave thanks for another lovely podcast. Well after listening to today's podcast it's nice to know that walking will make me a genius 😂. Have a great week & happy walking. X
Thank you so much for pointing that out, lord knows the disservice that could be done if that very important nugget was not corrected, you Sir have saved the day of every person that viewed this video before their morning walk😂
Great videos! Thanks for the motivation. People underestimate the value of a walk.

Sometimes it doesn't help with a solution yet makes me feel better to face it again. 😊
