Not sure why people are bringing up Crowley. He's been very good for Ireland for the most part since replacing Sexton. Frawley had an absolute shocker when he came on.
POC doesn't seem to come under any scrutiny. Irelands line out has been faulty for a long time now, all under his watch.
Ultimately, Ireland don't have the strength in depth they think they have, which is why Healy, Henderson, POM etc are still needed for match day squads
Ireland will be under serious pressure to get a win this weekend and the Pumas will be licking their lips.

POC needs to get a grip. Stats can read Irl win 90% of lineout. In the WC against SA and NZ and now against NZ the 10% lineouts lost were in key positions at key times and had a huge influence on confidence and momentum. Scrums also the same. All flash and no basics is not good enough.

Look at how 1 match loss freaks Ireland out so much. Justifiable as there is so little development of younger players being developed. Ireland not developing their depth at the Test level is not a good idea.

Imma say a bad day at the office. The reactions have been pretty much a joke from many sides. Thats what happens when you have a target on your back at number 1.
I think this was an important, healthy loss, that finally, at long last has raised the question about new players. This was coming a long time.
Theres still 3 tests to go and plenty of new guns to pick from the provinces if needed. We actually do have depth, its just not used. Find the opportunity in loss, its an important part of growth.

I think Ireland intended to replicate their physicality they displayed in the 2nd game against the boks in Durban; indicative of all the one-off carriers crashing against a brickwall of All Black defenders. Also think they underestimated New Zealand's physicality and came horribly unstuck. Ireland just repeated this strategy throughout the game and forgot about what brought them success in many recent previous encounters against the All Blacks. Silly and unintelligent rugby; lack of leadership was their undoing.

Ireland became one dimensional easy to read; how long does it take to read out the back door plays that all northern teams implement? Southern boys has way more talent and athleticism; that's why all northern teams go to old graves to digg up bones of DNA for SH players and coaches. You always hear from northern teams; his Ireland; Wales ; England and Scottish qualified. Grow your own damn talent. Ireland best players over the weekend were all kiwis and a wallaby. Scotland full of saffas even Wales has a couple of kiwis now.

They beat South Africa in South Africa, something New Zealand failed to do in both tests. They were playing a team that had two games in the previous two weeks while they hadn't played in 4 months. New Zealand went in with massive advantage. There's no decline, it's typical rustiness. Both New Zealand and South Africa lost to 7th ranked Argentina just 2 months ago by comparison despite Argentina having no warmup games advantage

If Ireland are to move fwd they need a new progressive coach who wiil take stock of where they have come and move fwd with new blood new ideas and new approach, its a natural cycle of things. players need new voices. This current team have been there made #1 now on the slide. They never fulfilled their dream winning a W.cup buit their best hope was last year and fell short, these boys will not get any better their value now is passing on what they have learned.

They lost because New Zealand had the massive advantage of going into it, not only after having just played 2 months ago in the Rugby Championship, but also playing 2 games in thr previous two weeks. Ireland have only played 2 games since March and the last time they played was 4 months ago. That's why all teams should be starting the Autumn series on the same weekend so there's a more level playing field. Ireland not playing on the previous weekend that New Zealand played England gave them a massive advantage over Ireland as that English game massively improved the cohesion in the All Blacks game where they went from conceding the most penalties of any game in the season in the English game to having the lowest penalty count of their season against Ireland. New Zealand only managed one try against Ireland and all of their other points were as a result of Ireland's handling errors.
