Parks and stuff are actually decided by local government rather than federal, so it would be the ones involved with the local government. It's actually a pretty common thing; most states have at least one park that used to be a cemetery.

Yaaay! This video made my day! I'm from Sheffield and didn't know about the demon dog so has been really interesting. Also my mum works at Northern General hospital on the Vickers Corridor and can confirm that Vickers is haunted. I've been through that part of the hospital a few times and can confirm its very creepy.
I was surprised though that the 2 most famous ghosts of Sheffield weren't mentioned though which are the Stockbridge Bypass ghost and the ghost that haunts the old Carbrook Hall pub (now a Starbucks). Would definitely recommend a future paranormal story for you with either of those, they are brilliant tales 🤍👻

I THOUGHT that was Sedgefield. My grandma lives in a village up the road. She was also born in Yorkshire and raised on a tenant farm outside Sheffield. She was in town during the blitz and, running home, was invited into a building for shelter. Her cousin grabbed her and kept her running, as it was a morgue! Also, on the farmland was the old Tudor House where the imprints of Queen Mary's feet can still be seen on the rooftop, where she'd wait in hopes of a pardon.

She said I did this sporadically for a couple of weeks. She said I didn't seem scared but when she told me about it years later I was unnerved. I think I'm glad I dont remember it myself. I was born and raised in Chicago and there is a very large Cemetery call Resurrection Cemetery on Archer Road and there is a story about the ghost of Resurrection Mary. This is one of several of Chicago's ghost stories. I would love to see a story about that. I went down that road many times, but never saw her.
I found out several years ago that there are over a quarter of a million Souls in this cemetery. My mother and many relatives are at rest there. My mom was born in 1925 as the oldest of six kids. She couldn't even finish high school because she had to stay home and help Mom with the children.
Another strange story on a personal note. I had a reoccurring dream about being at an outdoor mausoleum that has a pond nearby. I never knew mausoleums could be outdoor. Little did I know, but I was dreaming about my mother's final resting place and have not had this dream since she passed at 91 years old four years ago. My father was cremated and is in an indoor mausoleum way up north in Chicago with his family.

My hometown of Windsor, CT has a scary history, including one of America's earliest recorded serial killers, witch trials and hangings (in the neighboring town) and so many haunted sights for being such a relatively small town that it boggles the imagination. Some of the Windsor folklore is likely not online but Hartford county as a whole, of which Windsor is apart, would give a wealth of material that would be easy enough to research.

You should do one on Tucson, AZ or Colorado Springs, CO! Tucson is my hometown and i know it has a rich history as well as a lot of current events that are worth looking into. Colorado Springs is where I've been living most my life. I know there are some interesting things worth investigating.

Here in Delaware we have a fort Delaware also known as pee patch island. I'm 41, but when I was eight my mother and I got stranded on the island because we missed the last boat back to the mainland. I mean even the gift shop ladies had left it was the absolute last boat before the weekend. Thank God the captain remembered that there was a mother and a daughter missing on the way back or we would have been there the weekend this was on a Friday. Remember this was before cell phones. That place was spooky and still is to this day.

Do you notice how nice it is to be able to look at the monuments while listening to the stories? One doesn't feel affection towards the monuments but rather it adds to the storytelling of our history. Sad that many of the monuments shown in this video are not in it's historical spot anymore!

When I was 17 I accidentally took way too many Benadryl Gel Tablets. I felt a bit woozy so I decided to take a bath and relax. After about 20 minutes I began to see whisps of movement through the glass of my shower door. I focused on the commotion and saw a hook nosed man grinning at me through clear patterns in the ghosted glass. Well, that was lame, so I headed downstairs and found my parents watching tv in the living room. My dog Tyson was happily sitting in the threshold of the two rooms. Naturally, when I reached out my hand to pet him it went straight through his head and he disappeared. I retreated upstairs to my room. As I entered I heard the ticking of a watch that had not worked in years; it’s hands flowing backwards. I decided it was bed time. I laid down with my face stuffed in the pillow. I then heard a whisper that sounded of many different voices in unison. It said my name then counted “1,2,3. Brandon 1..2..3 Brandon 1..2..3.” I challenged myself to look towards the source of the haunting chant. My eyes followed up a large dark silhouette cast against the rows of shirts in my closet. It wore a tattered suit and its height nearly obscured a large top hat on its crown. I immediately thrust my face back into the cover. After a few moments the chanting stopped. Only starting back up again at the side of my bed. I was so shocked I instinctively craned my head to look and saw a woman with motor oil soaked black hair draped over her face; her arms hung limply at her side. That shit scared me so much I laughed at both the “apparitions” and exclaimed “nice try” in a cracked, uncertain voice. Yet, it worked! They were banished and I slept fine that night. Well, average sleep. Average to absolute shit.
