I'm from upstate NY, my aunt was the town assessor. There is an old country house that the assessors are not allowed to inspect. It has a weird history. There was alot of native Americans there and still are, two different tribe's so alot of history there. This house was a long standing property of a family who never did anything to it. A father willed it to his son who wanted to build a house on it, but his father warned him as his father before him to leave it be. There was mounds on it that may have been burial mounds. The son didn't believe the superstition, plowed over the mounds (unknown if they found remains, kept quiet about it) and build the house. Less than a year later, fires would spontaneous start in the house and regardless of professional inspections, no cause could be found. Then the family members started to catch fire. And one night they ran from the house and never returned. You can see the dishes on the table from the meal they were having when they ran, everything is still there rotting away, furniture, cloths, even their van with the old orange license plates. They will not sell it, and after a few injurys from curiosity seekers the house was fitted with silent alarms. The assessors office is the only place that knows where they are living now, a few have asked to buy the land or get permission to search the house for ghosts with a resounding NO. It's still passed down from father to son. I saw it once with my now ex-husband 30+ years ago. Saw the dishes on the table through the window, very secluded and over grown and unnaturally quiet for the country, you should at least hear birds. It was a beautiful house in its day, but now it's mostly hidden from veiw by over growth and vines. I asked my aunt why they never just sold it, and she said because they feel it's their family's burden and they didn't want anyone to be hurt or killed on the property, as they would feel responsible for it.
I love falling asleep to these videos, and listening to them when in the bath or sorting out my flat!! Get so freaked out,but your voice is relaxing 🤣been listening for years!!!
Glad you done this I’ve been to Norwich castle and it feels fine touring the place until you reach the dungeons where it becomes very Erie strange feelings down there
There’s loads of horror stories surrounding Norwich! My favourite being the ghost of Anne Boleyn at blicking hall estate. People claim to see her wandering around holding her head and. Also stories of Robert ketts ghost around mousehold hill and ghosts of plague victims in a housing that’s now turned into an escape room!
Me too! This is my favourite channel, and I'm on their patreon... I don't do that for any other channel. You may enjoy a channel called Scary Mysteries let me know if you enjoyed it. 😊 But by far this is my all time favourite. Greetings from London England
I studied abroad in Norwich some time ago, beautiful city and there was definitely some dark past there. The gravestones litter the sidewalks and normal pathways there, reminders of the brutal toll the plague took there. Gorgeous cathedral in Norwich too.
Imagine listening to your channel for years and hearing your town's name. I too live in Silverhill and have been to Alligator Alley. Captain Crunch use to be at our local zoo but due to hurricane activity, he was moved inland to the sanctuary to assure his and the public's safety.
thanks for mentioning Sydney Australia, where I'm from..the Rocks area is very creepy at night and there's ghost tours you can do..love your channel and best wishes 😊👍🏻
This channel is the best not only does top 5s come out with original content but they also care about its patrons pretty dope! Love to see the future of this channel
I can't thank you enough for referring to the "enslaved person" rather than using the word slave. This needs to be a common practice in our society to bestow a modicum of dignity to those robbed of it.
I live in ipswich. I remember the atmosphere when i was younger, everyone on edge, night life was a ghost town, people feeling eerie all over ipswich. Truly was a scary situation to be in.
I once ran over a possum on wakehurst parkway. When i got out to check it the atmosphere is spooky late at night. I couldn't find the possum. The tough bugger ran off into the scrub
Only been to Norwich Castle once back in 2015, had a weird feeling in there that it may be haunted, this pretty much confirmed it. Note I didn't see or hear anything more like felt something was off
Is top5 the only countdown style channel that has survived (and is still good)? Used to watch so many and they all disappeared or just turned to crap. Cheers top5 guy
I’m from Norwich! And have been inside of the abandoned Ferry boat inn (1:22) and found out about Steven Wright shortly afterwards. Done some research on him and I believe he is responsible for many more killings within Norwich 3 woman are still missing. They were last seen on the Norwich red light district which Steve’s old pub was also in he perhaps killed in other city’s even countries. As he was employed by cruising company’s that took him around the world. On the Prison my 5th Great uncle He ry Groom was hanged at the Norwich castle for the murder of his work friend James Ayton So cool seeing my home city on one of these videos
The fact the Evangelists cursed the Pillar proves, whatever he was going to preach, it sure as heck wasn't the word of God. A follower of God spreading the word of God, wouldn't curse people for not letting them spread the word
Steve wright's friend used to live round the corner from me and they have opened the investigation again as they think his friend was involved with the cover ups 🙄
OK, I just had to share the following with everyone. Half way to the video I stopped the video and checked my blood sugar and it was a bit high. I decided to administer some insulin since I am a diabetic. I have a little stool next to my Reclining chair and I have my insulin, syringes, pills etc. I could not find my insulin vial, I was like what the F...!! so I got up and went to get a new vial, when I sat and reached for my syringe, right in front of me was the vial I could not find. I was really upset and started to lecture who ever was playing a joke on me. I live by myself in a 10x20 studio. The light were dim, but able to see clearly. I was not scared just upset. I know that vial was not were I found it. First time this happens to me. Hopefully who ever decided to stop by my house is gone. Now back to the video.
