Very powerfull song sung with compassion and straight from the heart . Heard Mark Haddock sing it recently; but its really nice to hear the composer sing it . Thankyou Johnny.
Mr McEvoy, thank you for this touching and lovely song in honor of the young Anne Frank murdered during the Holocaust. As always, your words go straight to the heart of the matter and your voice is perfect. Thanks again. From Rockaway Park, NY
We stood in front of that house in 1993; but couldn't bring ourselves to go inside. Maybe it was the "shame that we were feeling?"....very powerful song.
That's a MAGNIFICENT ballad and your WRITING is superb. There is a certain magnificense about you, Johnny,....because you are lit from within. Have you any plans of making a tour on the East Coast...i.e. NYC? the Bronx? New Jersey? Boston? soon.....we miss you Johnny. By the way, your ad-lib on ....THE SPANISH LADY about hearing more noise when saying the Rosary was one of the BEST ad-libs I have EVER heard. lol
This is wonderful, Mr. McEvoy. Thank you, Tuks, for sharing this song and the treasure trove of music here. I'm staying here to listen to many more songs.
"The sun will warm the earth again, and dry up all the sorrow, the flowers that faded yesterday will bloom again tomorrow." John - I love you for these lines. (not only :-)
This is my first time listening to this song the Ballad of Anne Frank. There can't be many songs about evil, the murder of a young girl or of mass murder. This is an important reminder of the genocide and ethnic cleansing of innocent victims of brutality. NEVER AGAIN. We need to be reminded regularly of the evil events that some felt necessary to create a dubious utopia. Thank you Johnny McEvoy for this timely reminder of the many millions of Anne Franks of World War 2. NEVER AGAIN must the evil anti-semitism or racism be allowed to enter the minds of humans. SAY NO TO RACISM>
I never understood that line about Vincent's tears; anyone care to explain it to me, please? On another video of this song, it shows a photo of van Gogh for the line, but I don't see a connection there, if any. Thanks - Kegan
yes it was invinted if she aint real how her father real lots of folks suffer for everybody they died for us so we want go through the samething they went through
she didnt do anything to you well if you tired of hearing about anne frank then dont get on the computer gosh she died for everybody so be thankful that her story and pocahontas story getting told you dont know what anne frank went through back then it was a hard life be thankful
I'm more shamed by the millions of germans starved and killed, and the millions of brave men who served fighting for Europe against the communists in the east who had to come home to ruins, and then be ostracized, hated and even murdered by the very people they had been sacrificing life and limb for. And with a straight face the British who enslaved half the world and starved their enemies' women and children in camps in 3 wars condemned the germans for having camps themselves.
@@buaidhnobas3925 Lol,,,you are fukkin hill air ee us. The stage play in London was so slow and boring, the audience shouted that when the Germs were looking for her. Ehhh,,you do know she is dead,,,dontcha/
She didn't suffer for me. she didn't suffer for anyone, she probably wasn't even real. How do you write a diary in ballpoint pen in 1944 or whatnot when it wasnt' even invented at the time? The germans winning would have probably saved us a whole lot of trouble... no cold war!

How many big macs can you eat in the one go.
You're on the wrong page.. It's Johnny Mac Evoy.. not Big Mac.
