Camilla's sentiment about "they're all number 1's" really jives with how I felt after ranking my games at the start of the year. There are games that, conversationally, I'd say "oh man, I love this game, it's probably in my top 30 of all time" and then come to find out it didn't even make my top 100. There's just so many excellent games!
I have a very difficult time deciding between Warmachine and Cyclops for my favorite hero in Marvel Champions. I've had the most fun with the both of them! Great lists, everyone! Highly enjoyable video!
I do really like Wyrmspan, but it doesn't replace Wingspan for me. I don't feel like games have to replace other games. Each one has its own unique properties.
Great picks, enjoying watching these to wind down the day! Pandemic, yes! I have Season 1 but need to get my game group to commit to the time. I liked how the Wyrmspan caves were more than just a row/col tableau, but were thematic with chaining benefits. I would try Raising Robots. I have Viticulture Essentials with the Tuscany expansion. Thumbs Up! Played Mansions of Madness at someone's house. It was immersive and went down to the wire. RPG-like story-driven feel. I avoided Castles of Burgandy because it looked too lucky but the choices and mitigation make it surprisingly strategic. I liked it! Heat, Petal to the Medal... A seeding lap is a good idea! I would like to try Sea of Legends, Lands of Galzyr, Barcelona, Frost Punk, Playing ONLY Ticket to Ride would be good for the budget :-)
At Camillas comment at number 29 that "She can't understand why people keep comparing it to Wingspan", my girlfriend quickly commented, "Hah, imagine if it was Raising Robots". We were both pretty dumbstruck when it actually was. It is almost like saying you can't understand why people compare Wyrmspan to Wingspan :D
ELAWA is incredibly good! It's too tiny and cheap to be as good as it is. I bought it on impulse after I saw a review and it was a huge hit with my group. It was surprising really. Would recommend to casuals as something that can be replayed for the entire evening, and for gamers as a middle-of-the-session palate cleanser (but careful, because you will end up playing it more times than planned). Great pick! This game should've gotten more attention than it did.
If it takes 15 min for 1 turn in Castles of Burgundy you are playing with the wrong people that are all AP people. Those turns go quick although I have mostly only played it 2 player so our turns are 30 seconds to a minute each.

White Castle: MY FIRST hate drafting game.
I picked up elawa a few months ago based on Camilas recommendation, need to get it to the table.
The one thing I don't like about Wyrmspan is how randomly it can be to collect extra silver coins. Coins on dragons and caves should be removed imo.

Tried the viticulture variant for card draws. What do you do when a card or action says draw 2? Draw 3?
No matter the amount, draw 1 extra and then discard one. That way, if you draw 3, it's actually draw 4 and discard 1. Works great!
