Mookie you're totally right. Friendship between players makes everyone support everyone ... if I scored and you dont, I give you a chance ... of course, team achievements first of all ... but yeah it can happen.
Totally right Mookie, if someone is struggling they get given the chance to get their confidence back up. Also, each team usually has a designated penalty taker, its up to him to decide if he takes it or gives it to someone else.
Football hits different guys, it's a shame it took too long for USA to get into Football but i'm glad y'all did get into it and, for what i can tell, you guys are loving the sport! Football really is a team sport and, in many clubs, the players are like family with eachother. Sometimes they give goals to boost their teamates confidence, sometimes for their teamates to complete an hattrick or boost their goals, it's all about love at that point. Football is a sport that brings the players, the fans, the club staff together.
Most times the coach picks a designated penalty taker for the team… most teams have a penalty taker , but sometimes during the game, players decide to pass it on to someone else
All the time the manager would select specific players to take certain set plays (free kicks, corner kick and penalties) but most times for penalties it’s usually one or two players who take it
4:36 Yes, you're on point that happens a lot. When it comes to penalties theres is usually a predetermined taker independently of who gets fouled in the box. It's determined in training by the players and the coach. That doesn't mean that the penalty taker is the only one who practices, or is prepared to take penalties because in a game anything can happen from injuries to substitutions. And from time to time if a new player is debuting, or struggling to get his first goal with his new team team, or is just struggling, in general, to get in-form and lacks confidence, a simple goal from a penalty kick can give him motivation and it's also a signal to the fans to get behind the player.
When goalie was in the box, when it was a corner is becose it was last minute of the game and the team needet to score a goal. They had nothing to loose, if they do t score its over for them. So he was 1 man advantage in the box✌️
There was a game that didn't show up in this video where Benzema was struggling a little and the fans were booing him for his performance and ronaldo already scored 2 goals in that game and had the chance to make a hat-trick with a penalty but gave it to benzema so he could break off from struggling and get a little of confidence back, ronaldo before even that penalty scored by benzema he told the fans to stop booing him and to support
Penalty kick assignment depends on various things: top scorer, captain, couch assigned, accurate shooter, on a hattrick and more. If a defender gets a penalty he most likely won't shoot it. It's like a free kick so the penalty specialist will take it.
Beware tho, there are some defenders that are very good at penalty kicks, for example, Virgil Van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Antonio Rüdiger, but these are defenders that are very skillful with their feet. Also there are some goalkeepers that are very good at taking penalty kicks too, many people don't know this but, Ederson Moraes from Manchester City, he is a penalty kick especialist, but he never takes because, there are others that are as good as he is to take it and, if the other goalkeeper defends it, he will be needed in his position ASAP, so they don't risk making him take the penalties.
@@cristianonunes8551 i loved the fact that ederson took the 5th penalty for city vs madrid 2 weeks ago in the shootout, he scored a good penalty and that confidence could've given him the edge to block the last penalty
@@cristianonunes8551 guardiola seems to overcomplicate/ overthink things sometimes so the outrage is understandable, but i honestly thought ederson would have a martinez qatar final moment after he scored a banger penalty
anyone can take the penalty regardless if they're fouled , its usually taken by the guys with the best chance to score it. This is why you see Νeymar, Κarim, Sergio all default shooters showing team spirit. BTW if they weren't big names the coach would probably be mad at them, bcs he's the one picking the player normally.
All teams have players designated when it comes to taking penalties, Freekicks, and set-piecees , usually decided by the coach , but players sometimes give others a chance to score , this has always existed but Messi , Neymar and Suarez made this a regular thing with Barcelona where when Messi was already on the scoring sheet he always gave penalties to either Neymar or Suarez and ginored his stats he could've easily had like 10 more hatricks if he was selfish and on the opposite side if Messi didn't score the two others were trying hard to help him score ,and yes when a player especially strikers are struggling usually his teammates try to give him confidence by awarding him penalties and try extra helping him to score and in general midfielders are really generous and they prefer to assist and give up easy goals for the strikers to score.

mookie is right , sometimes if a player is struggling with goals, teammates can pass it on to them
It’s up to the pen taker if he decides to let a teammate take it, Mookie is right it’s more to boost their confidence & team spirit
