My daughter is going into high school, she has the beige 😮 version of the Nike bag.....can see it being washed a lot, most of the girls change to tote bags halfway through yr 7 supposedly.
Oh I’ve never thought to put my number on their labels! How genius how did I not think of this before?! The Nike bag is pretty cool my kids would love that.
Please put your sons name with a Sharpie/permanent pen on the front and back, so it doesn’t go missing. Also, he will need a compass and protractor for Maths, so a maths set may be easier. He might also need a 2B pencil for art.
After seeing the Minnie Mouse school shoes you got, I went on to the George website and bought my daughter the exact same pair that Lily has, for my daughter Sofia as I know my daughter will love these too! Thank you so much for the recommendation ❤❤❤
Great haul! I hope Zach has a great first day in year 7, I’d be out nervous.. my son is going in year 5 and I’m so anxious about him going into secondary in the future! Xx
I'm so pleased that I only have 1 child now to buy a uniform for as my daughter is now at University. My son's uniform is soooo expensive. I have to buy his trousers and shirts in M&S and they are from their additional needs range. He is 13 but 5ft 7 and wears 15 to 16 years. He has incredibly poor fine motorskills, despite attending an OT from he was 3, so he cannot do up buttons or trouser flys...(not ies) and M&S do fully elastic trousers. But his tie, blazer, PE hoody, top, tracksuit bottoms, socks & shin guards came to £503. His school shoes must be leather and he wears a size 9 and he can only wear slip one Due to his motor skills. Therefore I have to get them in proper shoe stores and in the men's section. £75.99 was what I had to pay for them...£10 cheaper than last year . Due to his heart condition lots of sports are forbidden for him, hockey being one, which is great as the hockey stick must have school logos and cost £59.99! Summer shirts for Zachri's secondary school and all secondary schools here are short sleeved and autumn onwards are long sleeves, again it's a strict rule here regardless of sensory issues. He needs 3 types of HB pencils...2 types of lead for art and another lead for TD...only black ink allowed for pens and no biros except for red and green and certain types of felt-tips and specific art colouring in pencils. Zach goes to a normal state school and our private schools are even more strict re uniform and stationary. I use the folders for Zach and you do not need to go online for subjects as his 1st day he will get his timetable. Zachri has been using his scientific calculator from his 1st year at secondary school....although in Northern Ireland we do more than the rest of the UK hence our higher exam results. You're so lucky that the primary school is so lax re school shoes, stationary and uniform, ours here tend to be incredibly strict e.g. No Mickey mouse, no scalloped edges, only certain types of school bags, certain pens and colours of ink. Primary schools have 2nd hand in school stores but secondary schools and above are a no because every year some part of the uniform changes or more uniform things must be branded. Ie coats for Zach's school must have the school logo and ordinary black coats are banned. It's ridiculous. I spent over £700 for his uniform, shoes and stationary...I have still to buy new football boots...He is only allowed to do goalie as he is forbidden to run, even 30 seconds of running leaves him unwell...Hospital do tests on him every 4 to 6 months re his heart's reaction to stress Inc exercise. # Good luck to your Zack on starting his new school, it's daunting for any child especially our wonderful unique children. ADHD, Autism, dyspraxia etc only add to the stress. My Zach has a full blown meltdown for the 2 weeks leading upto going back to school and his behaviour becomes horrendous. So I hope your son copes better than mine. I have had to fight for 1.5 years for Zachri to get additional support in school and he only got it due to how severe his heart problem is ... An adult must be with him at all times Inc moving between classes. This is something his school insisted on because of the severity...They had a child die in the school playground because of his heart condition. Long winded way of saying make sure Zack gets any help and support he might need...secondary schools can have a sink or swim attitude. Enjoy Zack and remember each day should be a learning day and good grades are the building blocks of your adult life xx
My kid has ASD and ADHD is 18 finishing his last year of high school U.S. and uses a calculator. Scientific for your yr 7-9 and graphing for your year 10 and up. And they get math and or science during your 6th form years. It’s modified of course. They are not getting the problems the other kids have to solve. But it is used. I did double check for the graphing calculator as they are hugely expensive.
So kind of your mum to.help.out as.its such an expensive time..i am so glad i no longer have this problem although getting my youngest ready to go to college during the week is costly too. I must say your schools seem less strict regarding uniform are schools in northern ireland are a lot more specific regarding school uniform logo etc . Px
My mum is a gem bless her. I bet getting ready for college is expensive! Each school is different, some are VERY strict, others less so. But I believe there is legislation in place to say parents cannot be forced to buy logo uniform xx
My kids are already back to school and im still watching 😂 i love buying stationary! Im 38 and we used to use scientific calculators often at school, definitely past S3 (Scotland)
Thank you. I buy as and when I need to, today I'm going through their clothes and will see what I need to buy - so a regular clothes haul should be coming fairly soon xx
Have a great first day in year 7 I use folders for my books in school as well I have double sided sheets and would love a way to put them somewhere do you have any tips ? The folders are a great idea I’m currently in year 10 and love watching your videos
Aww thank you so much for watching, I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Maybe a ring binder/folder with the clear pockets in them for double sided sheets? Xx

When they are reliable with water bottles by a better brand water bottle and be sure to wash upper rack or by hand as suggested the body of the bottle. I use takeya plastic bottles. They also come in medal.

I so miss back to school shopping. Great memories of going with my mum who passed in 2018. This made me smile, thank you xx
Oh you're welcome! I'm so glad this video made you smile ❤️❤️ Thank you for watching xx
Who decided on the impact uniform would have on a child’s learning? I do not get it. I’m the school mum the teachers will hate I tell you that 😂😂
😂😂👍
Those smash lunchboxes are the best. They never go mouldy xx
Brilliant! We've never had one before xx
My daughter is going into high school, she has the beige 😮 version of the Nike bag.....can see it being washed a lot, most of the girls change to tote bags halfway through yr 7 supposedly.
With the shirts, if schools funny just say it's a reasonable adjustment. Schools have to make reasonable adjustments when a child has SEN.
Thank you x x
Also at our high school, a summer shirt is a polo shirt with the school logo. All the local high schools seem to be the same. X
❤️
Can you share the labels that you used x
I don’t like ironing but I bought a steamer from amazon fairly reasonable and used that

Since when does youtube do 60secs worth of ad break in one go 😮 do you choose it? Bit of a p take!
I definitely didn't choose that! How annoying!
Do not put the water bottles in the dishwasher. That may be the cause of the peeling off of a water bottle.
I think this is where I went wrong before. Hand washing them only now! 😁
Lovely back to school haul. Short sleeve shirts are okay for winter. My oldest prefers shorts sleeved shirts xx
Thank you xx
The minecraft bag i would put velcro on that front pocket.
That's a GREAT idea! X
I’m 38 we used a scientific calculator for some maths (cannot remember what)

Yeah they're not as big as I'd like ideally, but they can refill them at school xx
