Thanks lovely 😍 It's crazy what they put in stuff. I just try and buy things that are either naturally derived, or don't have a long list of weird sounding ingredients in. Honestly, the amount of time I've spent goggling ingredients in the supermarket to see what they are is ridiculous 🤣 very hard with fussy children though isn't it, and my kids are fed up of me saying no to things or going on about ingredients 🙈 xx
I love Sainsburys I find it much cheaper than most other supermarkets they have great deals on nectar we collect the point for Christmas when they have there meat on deals and we buy lots for my house and mum's and freeze it lasts months and saves money on weekly shops🎉 my children wouldn't eat Yorkshire pudding until I told them they are dinner cakes and now they love them 😅
Hi C - I’ve been watching lots of Utube videos / Podcasts on Ultra - process foods which to be honest I’ve found alarming 😮 - Tim Spector & Chris van Tulleken - You always seem very interested in the ingredients and labelling of foods. I think you would find the videos really interesting. The Mediterranean diet seems a perfect balance of healthy food and the health benefits are amazing.

You can buy either white or brown but it’s right on the package. White is usually cheaper. I get brown. When I was young eggs did not agree with me sometimes and I just prefer brown when given the choice.
Nice haul Claire 🥰🥰 I tried pizza flavour cheese strings but didn’t like em 😂 but I do love normal cheese strings 😋 I couldn’t swap from steak mince to pork mince as I don’t like pork mince 😂 I’m a very fussy eater 😂 xx
We use to do hello fresh but recently stopped as the girls were not that pleased with the portion sizes and when penni did the maths they decided that it was only worth it with the discounts but definately overpriced without. But u will enjoy the experience of having it even if u only do it the once. Px
Google told me the eggs are white because they're from a white feathered hen! Who knew! (I also had white eggs the other day and equally squeaked like you did 🤣
I did look at Gousto, and yeah the price 😩 but Hello Fresh is also quite pricey I think, if you're gonna do it all the time. You're paying for the convenience aren't you. Xx
Yup, different hen's, different coloured eggs. From my partners farm we get all colours including pale blue and pale yellow. There isn't really a difference in taste, it's just a pigment thing. Like very white skinned people don't generally have dark skinned people unless they have a darker skinned partner. Sounds racist, but it's not, its just genetics!! Love how you pay attention to packaging, I have to as my son has a soy allergy and you'd be amazed what it is hidden in
No they dont bleach eggs. The colour of the hens tends to determine the colour of eggs. My bantams lay a mixture of white and brown eggs, my brown hens lay brown eggs and my white hens lay white. They do say the type of food can make a difference but not for mine. My hens eat lots of extra protein, meal worms, scrambled eggs, slivers of meat plus hen food, plus all the lovely bugs and grass.
Great idea to allow zach to have a hot lunch at school.each friday . It will be money well spent as he already eats a range of foods but it would be a chance for him to try other things that you may not eat as a family especially if his friends are eating them . I think with a older child who eats well like zach its actually good value .... time will tell . Px
We did it this past Friday, but he ate pretty rubbish food, and there apparently wasn't a lot on offer...so it will be a treat every now and then, and I'll do a balanced lunch for him the rest of the time xx
