I love book list videos from key people I enjoy listening to. I get a lot of my future reads from the suggestions. Seeing what people read, or at least are interested in reading gives them credibility in my world. Books and reading matter!
Loved this video and Jan Karon Mitford series. Love anything Valerie Burton writes and thought of getting her coaching certification. Lessons in Chemistry, The Women , and Killers of a Certain Age were good reads.
This was a great video with some great content. I’m definitely adding some more books to my list! I’m actually going to make a list and stop wondering what that book was I wanted to read!
I am reading 52 books this year. I will be reading a combination of novels, self-help and spiritual material (the Bible every day). I really enjoyed this video. I am always interested in what other people read.
Good for you on 52 books!! You are billionaire status!! It looks like your reading profile is very similar to mine:). I would love to know your favorite book in each category you listed!
I have recently rediscovered my love of reading. As someone with many responsibilities, I made the mistake of thinking it was too lavish of a treat to sit with a cup of tea and a good book. I now view reading as essential to my health and well-being. I'm simply a better person when I take time to enjoy reading. I read all types of books. I'm always looking for reading recommendations. Yes, RUclips was wrong! Loved this video! Will be purchasing some of your suggested books today.
Good for you for using reading as self-care!! I think as a culture we underestimate the importance of reading for our health, our spirits and our humanity. And thank you for your kind words:)
I liked your video self help not my thing anymore I read the Bible . I will read home from Holly Springs thanks for sharing . Your videos are refreshing 😍 .
Thank you so much:). The Bible is the best self-help book there is:). Truly, it has just about every reading category in it! My favorite book of all time!!!
I’m new to your channel but I’m all ready inspired. I will be making my 2025 book list and adding some of these titles, then I will post my list. Thank you!
Hi Carrie, thank you for your videos and yes I thought this video was really interesting so I'm not too sure what RUclips was talking about. I would highly recommend Goodbye, Things: The New Japanese Minimalism by Fumio Sasaki. What I took from it is that happiness is not to be found in things. Good easy read. Have a good New Year. Jessica
I love Jan Karon! I was given a large collection of her books by a friend and they are just such sweet, comforting stories! Daring Greatly was recommended by my doctor. He said it was life changing
I have a problem with thinking every self help book is going to be a magic bullet, which I know isn’t true but I am always hoping I am going through a lot in my life right now. I am reading Norman Vincent Pearles , The Power of positive thinking right now so I am going to order the book that you recommended of his and also the tennis book and Daring Greatly. Thanks for sharing, I am a big reader and have to hold a real book in my hands.
I think that problem is normal among those of us who love self-help books. One thing I started doing was just determining I was going to find one golden nugget and apply it to my life to move myself forward. That has helped me to stop putting unrealistic expectations on books. I think the books you are choosing to read will be really helpful to you through this challenging time/
I probably listen to 50 audiobooks a year free from my library. Early retiree as well. I loved Psychology of Money and Revitalizing Retirement though I consume much more entertainment fiction than informative non than I used to. Thank you!
I’ve been encouraging my husband to listen to audiobooks since his eyesight makes it difficult for him to read as much as he would like. He is slowly moving in that direction. I couldn’t read for several years while I was sick, so as long as I can, I will read my paper books!!!
I listen to audiobooks too- till I enter a less busy time. I recommend the James Herriot series - All Things Bright and Beautiful, All Things Great and Small - those are just 2. They are based on the life of a Scottish vet who ends up making a life in Yorkshire England . The stories are heartwarming and often hilarious. There have been 2 PBS series based on the books.
I almost didn't watch this, although I love your videos, but wow! I'm so glad I did!!! It was great! I have health coached for many, many years and love motivating people, and this really motivated me. Thank you! I share your videos with one of my groups and I am going to propose we do an online book club for 2025....with some of your suggestions! RUclips, once again, is so wrong!
Oh wow!! That is awesome!! I’m so happy you watched! Thank you so much for sharing my videos. That means so much to me:). Could I ask why you almost didn’t watch the video? RUclips said my viewers wouldn’t watch it and I’m wondering why.
@@CarrieOnCoaching Honestly because by the title it was so different from your usual posts I thought I didn't want to take the time to watch (everyone is busy, right?). But I like you so much I wanted to give you the input you asked for, and I am so glad I did!
Charles Martin (Christian novels) Water From My Heart Unwritten The Murphy Shepherd series The Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride Enjoy! I will also look into your recommendations. Thank you!
RUclips is wrong 🤣 I Love seeing others reading lists. I read. A lot! But mine tends to be fluff with a classic novel thrown in so I need to add a little more substance to my list 🤣🤣 My Goodreads goal each year is 100 books (I count the ones I read to my granddaughter 🤣) This year I had to lower it to 50
How many books do you read a year?

Hi Carrie from Yorkshire England. Yes your video was great. I love books, always have done and always will.
Thank you!! Always great to find another book lover!!
Another great video! Thanks for sharing this with us (me). Great selection of reading material!
Why thank you:)

I love the innocence of Jan Karon. And she makes me feel connected to my mom who I miss deeply. Daring Greatly completely changed my life!

What was the name of the devotional writer again? Big reader here!
Charles Spurgeon!! His Morning and Evening devotion is my favorite!!
@@CarrieOnCoaching thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks Carrie for another great and inspiring video. Blessings to you and yours.💕🙏🏽
