How are you stuck right now?
Not really stuck but locked on the slow cycle which is just as frustrating. I really wish I could have 1 week to work at my own pace/my own hours to get to the myriad of little tasks
that need done!
@ that seems reasonable. Start thinking about how to make that a reality. I have found that the more I think about something, the more realistic it becomes and then answers start coming to me. What seems impossible often times just needs some tweaking to make it happen:
It is called a functional freeze and is often a trauma response. There are many videos with somatic exercises for releasing stored trauma. Premenopausal, loss of loved ones, aging parents, empty nesting after kids who were the center of my universe has thrown me for a loop. Figuring out my next chapter with my spouse of 31 years. It is exciting, but also unsettling time.
I have never heard that term before. I will look into that! Thank you!
I’m a 78 year-old woman who found a lot in her life. I was in the army. I became an x-ray tech. I was self-taught x-ray tech mammography specialist taught it but a number of years ago my husband got sick. He’s on dialysis three days a week he had heartheart attacks open her surgery. He’s had a lot going on in his life and I became basically a full-time caregiver so I’m stuck. I don’t know what I wanna do. I don’t know how I wanna do it. I’m just stuck.
Wow! It sounds like you are in a valley, and I am so sorry. Being a full-time caretaker is so hard; physically, mentally and emotionally. I was sick for a long time and watched the effects on my husband as he cared for me. First, I would find peace in the process where you are right now. Find the blessings in the caretaking (yes, I know that can be a challenge on the harder days), but on the better days, make a list of the blessing that you can look at on the bad days. I would also take time to journal about what your ideal life looks like. Then take small steps towards making that life a reality. I hope that helps.
My brother died October 22, suddenly. 2 weeks prior they discovered all his symptoms would be lymphoma that went to his brain, lungs, bone marrow. Dead in 2 weeks. I’m a nurse in the medical field. Now I don’t even want to care for people. Can’t explain it. Too much death. It’s stopped me from making my life BIG: start my RUclips; unsure what to even talk about. Also struggle with why I beat stage 4 cancer/mandible flap reconstruction. Beat 27 years of a chronic condition that can also kill me. Did therapy and all they say: you’re a great guy, you know what you need to do now do it. And what I need to do: get back in college at 52/53. Work doubles. Pay off my debts. And start LOVING AND LIVING LIFE AGAIN. I needed this. Thank you
Wow! Well, I know why you feel stuck. I went through the same thing in 1992. I had a car accident in October that should have killed me and then two months later on December 22, my sweet sister was killed in one. The guilt I carried for not being the one who died when she was a nurse and was making such a positive impact on the world was overwhelming. It took a while, but I was finally able to get to the other side of grief and look for ways to change the world for the better. The problem is that there is only one way to get beyond grief and that is go through it. Im sorry you are going through your first holiday season without your brother. Caring for other sick people while grieving the loss of your brother has to be excruciating. But I would encourage you to see each patient as you wanted your brother to be seen. Look to each symptom as you wish someone had looked to your brother's symptoms. You will find your way through this. It sounds like your situation may be very much like mine was. My sister's death completely changed my life for the better. Her death changed my perspective of everything around me. Take the time to grieve and take lots of notes while you do. You have a future and a hope, but there is no room for guilt in that future.

Thank you so much for sharing. We're all in this together, it seems.
You are so welcome. Yes, we are in this together!
As your big sister I wish I lived closer and could give you a big hug and tell you how proud I am of you and that you are doing a get job. Keep up the good work, keep pushing forward and remember I Love You.
Awwww….thank you:)) I love you too!!
How beautiful ♥
Hello, (please excuse my English, unfortunately it is not the language I grew up with). A few days ago I found your channel . I want to tell you that you are a very nice woman, very natural. I can draw strength from what you say. Thank you very much 🙏
Thank you so much!
I just discovered you and Im so thankful! Life is tough and we do need each other! Blessings 💕
Thank you! Happy New Year!!
I'm stuck, found out from my physician that I shouldn't be in my physically demanding job at the age of 48. Time to change careers. I'm stumped, I love my massage career.
I've been doing this for over 18 years.
That is so hard. You are massage therapist?
Yes, massage therapy for almost 18 years. It's hard to imagine a life without that sense of community, I have built a connection with the faithful regulars.
@@rebecaortega8022 That would be hard. I'm wondering if there is something in the same arena that would bring you satisfaction and still serve your current customer base.
I found a lymphatic workshop, it's a really mild technique which wouldn't be so hard on my health. Otherwise, maybe just explore other passions.
I absolutely love your channel! I have been working on overcoming being a people pleaser. Yesterday, I had to remind myself that I must protect my own energy… no matter what another person thinks. - Belinda
Thank you! And good for you for acknowledging
what you need and not being afraid to do it!
You are amazing. Honesty is so beautiful.
Thank you so much!
Yes try to move. Little walking ? Pilates or yoga on u tube ? Make a list of you short term goals and start incorporating 1-2 goals at a time. Congratulations on your channel ! You are doing good ! No self sabotaging !!! 😅
Thank you:)
5:31 Six years ago I lost 90 pounds, and for almost 5 years after that, I maintained my weight, though I didn’t lose more. Then I got a very demanding stressful job as a Junior High teacher, and some of my weight has slowly been creeping back on. I know what to do to lose the weight, but I’m so stressed with my job and that makes me lose the will power I’ve built up. I just need to make the decision to do what it takes to get back on track, but I don’t want to. 😬 I am stuck.
I can see why you feel stuck!! Think about the simple changes that helped you to lose the weight originally. Start to implement those things again. Movement will help not only with the weight but also with the stress. Find ways to move that you enjoy. Just be kind to yourself and start today to make small changes. You can do this!!
Thank you for this video Carrie. It has some very encouraging ideas. I am a physical therapist with a hearing and vision impairment. The vision part is progressive. I’ve recently taken courses on pelvic floor rehabilitation geared specifically to pregnant and postpartum ladies. I am stuck in starting my new business. I have space in my house and this endeavor can easily be accomplished. I’m stuck in fear of failure!
You are so welcome! I understand that fear! Make a list of what needs to be done to start your business. Then just start with one item at a time. Don’t look at the big picture, just look at what step you can do today!! You’ve got this!!! That is a wonderful service to offer and women need it, so don’t let fear keep you from helping them!!
Stay strong gorgeous!
Thank you!
I am stuck in a negative mindset. I catastrophyze that the worst things are going to happen. I am just taking it one day at a time, and in the morning I am telling myself, I am going to have a good day. And then when my thoughts turn negative, I just try to catch myself and turn my attitude around. But deep down, I think I will fail. I don’t think I can be positive because I live my life in fear that bad things are going to happen. And yes, I go to talk therapy, I am on anti anxiety and depression meds, have tried TMS and EMDR but I know there is no magic bullet, although I am still hoping to find it. I know it is just going to take constant hard work to re-track my mind of 60 years of negative thinking.
I really understand what you are going through.
Sheila, You had actually been chosen for a free coaching season from my 1,000 subscriber video, but I don't think you saw the comment. Please, email me at carries.carrieon@gmail.com, so we can set up a time to talk!! I really want to help you.

Love this video. You put a name to what I am feeling, what I was probably feeling and it's okay to feel it, "stuck". I want to go forward and I'll figure out how to. Thank you for the video.
I am so happy you found it helpful!!
This is a great video! I love your honesty and your willingness to be vulnerable in it. Thank you!

This was so helpful! Thank you!
I am so happy to hear that! Thank you!
I'm not "stuck" right now, which is amazing in itself, but I am saving this because I know it won't be long before another stuck session! 🙄 Thank you for your honesty and openness...it is so refreshing and helpful! ♥BTW: ALL your videos are great...they don't have to be a "hit" because hit or not, they always touch someone and impact that life. Thank you!
Thank you for lifting me up today! I appreciate your encouragement so much!! And yes, we all face stuck moments which is why we need an action plan through them!!
Hi Carrie, I’m stuck by not knowing where to begin… to start over. I’ve lost my marriage my family my homestead my mother my three babies friends who I thought were my friends going through menopause and not realizing it, going through physical mental emotional and sexual trauma for many yrs my husband being diagnosed with narcissism, telling me that I am going to burn in - - - -, finding out about many affairs etc. Then having a complete breakdown and diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. And yes I have been in therapy for 15 years because of the severity of it . I have eight children, three living and a lil one with Down Syndrome who needs 24/7 care. Well I’m not going to write anymore because I probably have schocked you and everyone else. SORRY ❤️🙏 But God is good all the time and all the time God is good. He is well aware of all that has taken place and He is working on it. I very much believe in Jesus Christ our Savior ❤ TY , Linda, Pa . Ps, I’m really stuck but I completely understand if you don’t have any help for me because I sometimes can’t believe it either xo
Linda, to respond to you with a few simple sentences would come off as trite and I don’t want to do that. What I would like to do is to offer you a call where we can pray and talk this out so that you can make some forward progress. There will be no change to you. Consider this a late Christmas gift:). Please email me at Carries.carrieon@gmail.com and let’s set up a time to talk.
@ TY Carrie, I will

I’m stuck on a project of taking pots, pans, dishes out of my kitchen cabinets-clean, and put back in where things are organized & easier for me to get to-stuck!! Things everywhere.
Oh, I've been there! It sounds like you went too big!! I would look at one cabinet at a time. Little chunks done over time lead to a completed project:)
Thank you for your help! Yes, I went too big. So going to do one area at a time now & not be so hard on myself! I just need to do “something”. Merry 🎄
@@marybenham2573 YES!! You need Merry!!!
I'm stuck. I've been retired for 3 years and feel like i should be working still, volunteering, decluttering, everything but just enjoying my free time. Anybody else go thro this?
I was just talking to a friend last night who has been going through the same thing. She said she just ordered a new planner so she can start treating her days the way she did when she worked. She misses the structure and the feeling of control. So I would say, start with one thing and grow from there.
I am stuck with no energy or ambition to get in the kitchen and start making meals. I prefer to be out side in my gardens, growing flowers and weeding. i’m looking for motivation, I guess, to get me on a schedule to make regular meals
I hear that a lot from people who enjoy working in the yard!! I would recommend simple meals and batch prepping/cooking. Use rainy days to get ahead:)
Carrie, I just discovered your channel and you've given me so much support. I've gotten off track in my health journey and have been looking for ways to start getting healthier. Thank you so much for your encouragement.
Thank you:). I’m sorry you have gotten off track, but that is the first step to progress! You can take control of your health, one step at a time! A new year is just days away!! I’m working out my life and health goals to prepare. I hope you will join me:)
Carrie, I'm surprised and grateful you took the time to b reply. Appreciate your support and will be continuing to follow and learn from you. God Bless.

I’m actually also stuck with my own RUclips channel. I started making popular content in my niche and honestly I don’t really find it fulfilling. I keep wanting to do other content but I think I need to start a new channel because it won’t fit at all with my other content. But I just haven’t been brave enough to do it yet.
What is your current niche?

Thank you so much! That means so much to me to hear:). Welcome to Carrie On!!
I am your “one person”. Thanks!
Thank you for being there!
Great video….
I am stuck because I am an over worrier.
I cannot get worrying out of my head.
I make stories up in my head if I cant get hold of my adult kids on the phone of why they ate not answering their phone. Although there is always a perfectly good reason as to why they didn’t answer their phone I still never learn from this.
I invent stories in my head all the time in different situations.
This makes me stuck and numb to move forward at times.
Thank you!
I have had that problem too, especially in December (the month I’ve lost my mother, sister and grandmother). But I know it isn’t healthy, so I have worked a lot on not allowing fear to take over my mind. Memorizing scriptures that pertain to trusting God and not having a spirit of fear has been most helpful to me along with prayer. And also speaking to my loved ones about my irrational fears about them has helped me too. And then reminding myself about all of the times the bad things never happened and how horrible they made me feel in the moments of fear has helped me too.
Thank you your reply is useful and I will do my best to take your advice on board.
I am actually thinking of seeking sone counselling on my over worrying as it really does put me in a bad place. I feel myself panicking and my heart racing as soon as I put a story in my head.
I only found your RUclips channel yesterday and I have been watching them non stop.
I am really enjoying them and you are encouraging me to want to do a reset for 2025. Xxx
@@elizabethgardiner6945 you are so sweet! Thank you! And yes, counseling could be a great idea for you. You have a purpose in this world and worrying will keep you bound. Get the help you need so that you can use your experience to help others.
My husband and I are both stuck on how to spend our empty nest years while we are still young(ish) and healthy enough to do something adventurous & meaningful. (We don't anticipate being grandparents soon!) We lament that we don't have the motivation to do new things or create new goals. We've just settled into this life of routine and norm....boring, right?! First world problems.
Lol! Yes, first world problems, but they are your problems none-the-less! I would encourage you to take some quiet time as a couple and make a plan for your future. List out your dreams, places you've always wanted to see, things you've always wanted to do, etc. Review your money and your expenses and decide what you can afford to do. Look for the ways you have always thought you would impact the world in a positive way and discover how you can make that a reality now. Just write it all down and dream big together! As you do that, your future will start to unfold before you!
I’m 59 soon. Hubby is 69. I’m stuck on when do I join him in retirement given the age gap. Should I just retire at 60 for example coz he will be 70 then. Having lost my sister unexpectedly last year, I’m aware that money isn’t everything and we can’t assume that tomorrow will be ours. Just need a lottery win : like everyone else: to ease my way into retirement.
😂😂. Can I say you have the most fabulous hair!!
Thank you:)) I understand the challenge about retirement. My husband is 13 yers older but he hasn’t even thought of settling down yet! Part of that is the fact that I lost my 40’s to sickness and I am not anywhere close to slowing down!! I would say communication will be key. How does your husband feel about it? What does your financial adviser think? What is your plan after retirement? Trust me! I have seen people go into retirement without a plan for what they were going to do with their time and it isn’t pretty!! Because if you don’t have a plan for your time and something you want to do with your time, why retire?
I am so sorry about your sister. And you are right! We have no guarantees for tomorrow.
Another question that keeps coming to me; so you enjoy your work? If you could be doing anything with your time, what would you do?
One way I’m stuck is taking care of my body. Last year I lost a total of 50 pounds. Now I’m fighting to keep it off and to keep moving. I have to fight with my mind and it gets tiring. I tend to give up. What can I do?
This is a common problem especially for women. I was talking to someone today about how to figure out what my healthy weight is for my age now. I could lose the last bit of weight if I got extreme, but I don’t want to lose it to gain it back again. So I would say find exercise that you enjoy and do it because you enjoy it, not to lose weight. Keep moving your body and look at that movement as a gift not a chore. Take two weeks to count your calories just to make sure you aren’t underestimating how much you are eating. I’m reading a book titled “No Sweat”. I would highly recommend it. One thing I found helpful when I was taking back my health was to focus on one positive change a month. By the end of the year you would have 12 healthy habits. So you might start eating 90 grams of protein a day the first month. Drink 100 ounces of water a day the second. Walk so many steps a day the next. Keep doing that and you will fall in love with healthy living and your body will show it! I hope this helps.
Stuck? Yes, or maybe just paused 🤣. Retirement is about rediscovering who I am and what God has for me now.
Pauses can be useful:)
Losing 10 lbs and making it a point to meal prep & cook when cooking is not one of my favorite things... I need help!
I would work at keeping it simple. Find ways to make cooking more enjoyable. Watch your favorite show, listen to an audio book or Podcast (or my RUclips channel:))). I would find five things you enjoy eating and cooking and just fix them on repeat. Once you get those down, you can start adding more. I bet if you change your thinking towards cooking and start making nutritious meals that make you feel great and hit your goals, you will learn to find cooking more fun.
I'm stuck in procrastinating; I start out gung ho, but rarely finish well...ideas? suggestions?
I used to be like that too! I found slow and steady brings me better results. Having a clear and detailed plan that I set realistic goals for has helped me to stop procrastinating and getting things done. Also, timers!!! Oh boy, setting a timer and challenging myself to beat the clock has increased my productivity!!
I am beat down.
I am so sorry to hear that. How can I help you?
@CarrieOnCoaching Thank you for caring.
Carrie: I am stuck trying to find a different part time job, and moving on during my divorce. Making decisions on my own.
That would be a difficult season, and certainly one that could make you feel stuck. One day and one decision at a time! Do you have a support system? People or a person who can talk out problems with you?
Stuck financially! 😂
I’m sorry to hear that. In what way are you stuck?
