Chris Sharma bolted this spectacular line in Siurana, Spain, and spent two years trying to make the first ascent. Here's a raw, first-person look at his attempts on the Sleeping Lion project over several seasons. This year he sent the route, at age 41, suggesting a grade of 9b+ (5.15c). Watch the first ascent and the full story of Sharma's journey to stay on the cutting edge of climbing while juggling two young kids and a growing business, in our new film Sleeping Lion, available now for subscribers on Reel Rock Unlimited.

King lines for sure but i think it’s his climbing style that sets him apart. He climbs differently, he’s more athletic, he flows from side to side, cuts feet a lot. A perfect example is biographie all the other ascentionists look like they have their body face the wall more and their progression is more stop and go.

Damn, this just reminded me of another amazing climber that I remember watching when I was growing up. By some crazy coincidence, his name was also Chris Sharma, but this was a long time ago (probably like 20 years ago). He looked kinda similar, like a California stoner version of this Spanish dude. Anyway, I wonder if he's still climbing because he's gotta be pretty old now...
